It should not "smell very bad". It should smell somewhat earthy, like the rest of your bin"s - only slightly stronger if at all. Are you adding water to your bins? If so soulnds like you are adding too much. If it veg. scraps (lettuce, melons etc.) you are adding too much. I'd flush the letchy (fluid) down the toilet - wouldn't use it on plants and aerate the bins and dry them up some. If the bins stink as well, you might want to discard the bedding and start with fresh bins.
