not "exactly" the projection "itself" but honestly, the inspiration at the end, is what really inspired me most -"projection is part of being a confidant singer" ect.."Things to think about. -thanks :)
I don't understand WHY she didn't talk about the DIAPHRAGM and air! That is how you "project". Every singer should know that, and since she is a teacher, she should have mentioned that.
@Italia1987 may I ask you a sincere ?, I am a singer/songwriter, and am curious about starting voice lessons. would you say classical training is appropriate for me? i wouldn't sing opera, but the technique may help me...? thanks
@christinavelia Classical training is helpful no matter what type of music you enjoy singing. Think of a dancer - she must always learn ballet even if she wishes to later study hip hop. It will help you with your general musicianship. If you'd like to learn how to belt, however, seek out a teacher who specializes in this because you will not find many classical instructors who will teach you belting. Good luck!
This is deceptive, notice that she's not pushing, don't confuse projection with pushing the voice. I know it seems wierd to say that, but don't push. The tone stays in your body and isn't forced out but the compression is greater thus creating "projection."
I don't see the point in this video. All it shows is that this particular female can project her voice. Great. Thanks. How about some int instruction possibly?
All these videos are nothing but demonstration. What about...explaining how to project? What is it that you do to project...you cannot just say "sing louder...with more emotion" and expect people to understand.
I'm gradually improving on projection, but I'm having a REALLY had time with projecting high notes. I try giving all I have, but it just doesn't seem to carry. :/
can i use these exercises to project my voice accross a room while speaking? i have a really low speaking voice. anybody know any good exercises for that? thanks a lot!
if you have a low speaking voice try screaming just a little wen ur talking it might feel like screaming but it wont sound like it to every 1 else you will get use to it
i know you sang this and were trying to demonstrate, but what do you do to project?

As stated before by other users, this video has NO instruction. You singing with no instruction is not a how-to.

perhaps we are not being TOLD how to do it...but when heard over and over, the power of imitation will take over.

lack of projection comes from lack of resonance. it has nothing to do with confidence.

Is there anything I can do to improve that?

Don't try to push your voice. You'll strain it if you do so. Are you pushing the air/sound out from your stomach area?
