  • genial Jazz-Version!......wouh!

  • I'm loving this, thanks guys!

  • Awesome playing. What did you do with your accordion after the intro? It sounds kinda like a b3.

  • (continued from prior comment)

What’s all this talk about your tone selection on the Roland? When one focuses on the music, the sound of the accordion seems to be just right. You are a true artist as are the members of your quartet.

What model of the Roland are you playing?

  • Nikolay, I love all the quartet music you’ve placed on YouTube. The group really swings. All four of you are great. A perfect ensemble. Great arrangements. Very creative. Autumn Leaves goes full cycle, with many variations. Everything the group does is very well done. I’ve listened to all of the songs you’ve placed on YouTube many times and have passed the links on to friends so that they too can enjoy your music. When you have the opportunity, give us more of your songs.

  • man this guy kills it. no wonder why the accordion is red!

  • Outstanding. Wonderful presentation. Fantastic sound. Top notch!!!

  • VERY CRAZY!!!

  • Great stuff! Can that accordion be put through a pair of Leslies? That would be dangerous!!

  • Also this one is so nice!

    I love this one too!

  • Awesome,,,,,

  • interessting key-acrobatic

  • Brillant! Great playing ye all. I love the sound of your accordion.

  • the Roland sounds SOOOO dry......

  • The player put the dry setting on. The Roland is capable of making practically any accordion pitch.

  • @RacoonHat obviously not needed. i think you need to turn your dry setting on.

  • @timmydimmy1234567 can be fixed by EQ

  • i would just use it only with really good synth sounds. accordion has to be acoustic in my opinion.

  • DeBeerhengelo,

I think Rik is a good player, but after listening to several videos I didn't hear very much improvising. When I think of jazz accordion, these are the 5 players I think of first. They all have passion, creativity, excitement, and can improvise around anything.

    Ludovic Beier, Richard Galliano,

Marc Berthoumieux, Sivuca, and Renzo Ruggieri

  • Johnny Meijer - Swing Jazz Accordionist see him???

  • Thanks for the suggestion.

I just watched some performances when he was young, and I was very impressed.

Before this, I had only seen videos when he was older and didn't think that much of him.

Two others I forgot to mention are Lean Sash (deceased) and Tommy Gumina, but there's few good videos of them. And let's not forget Mat Matthews.

  • DeBeerhengelo,

Since you're a young jazz accordionist yourself, you should have a lot to learn from this guy. Instead of criticizing his creative use of a French styled intro into a French song you should just listen and learn.

He is one certainly of the best jazz accordionists I have ever heard.

  • Dear DeBeerhengelo. Speed of fingers not the most important. I know people at whom fingers are much faster. The main thing of a shower, heart... On your choice. If I shall break fingers, I shall play a nose or other part of a body. And the introduction into style мюзетт, seems to me very much approaches to the French song.

  • Man you kill on that FR-7! Fantastic! Keep posting!!

  • damn!!

    awesome!!
