Maby i can explain it for you :)

For me its al about the journey to death. The two stones maybe are the Gate to death. The black dog a messenger or a partner for the long way. But the last part of your way, you must go alone. All these sticks standing for souls where already death. The whale stand for the death, the flame on his stick for his own life. Its your decision, if you are brave enough to go. The death delets your Life(flame)

@Pfrotz id reccomend you delve deeper in egyptian mythologie that will also explain the jackal ( black dog)and you were quite right about the rest except for the part being brave enough that dog brings the deceased to the entrance of the underworld wich is that "whale" so it''s not about being brave enough but I do appreciate your opinion so thumbs up
