Now I would love to see this at California Adventure's World of Color w/ full video from the movies as well. This was epic seeing it live during CV though. :)
@GeneralSturnn They didn't do it...:sigh: I wish they'd rent out Hollywood Studios every year. I went back too, but not the same...if you know what I mean.
@GeneralSturnn Er...Celebration V and Celebration VI were both in Orlando...not sure what I should explain? Celebration V rented out Hollywood Studios, mostly due to a refurb of Star Tours. Celebration VI didn't.
@bmcj199 The prequels were just generally bad. I still love Star Wars more than anything, but the prequels were the greatest example of cinematic blue balls in all history. Just watch the Harry Plinkett reviews. You'll understand.
@liljayyboi2 Well they recently showed a shorter version of this show the night before Star Tours: The Adventures opened. So here's hoping that they show this during SW weekends!
I love the music at 8:11 because it is one my favorite theme in Star Wars 6 : Return Of The Jedi. How Luke is fighting with his father in the Emperor's room. Who agree with me on that one???????? Thanks posting this.
Oh, and Star Tours didn't close that night, dumb.ss, it was open nearly a week later when we went back. So thanks for shoving my kid around. Really appreciated. Makes me wish it was a Trek convention.
I want to thank the few who allowed space for my child to see this wonderful show. To those who were the selfish, screw you. Do you NOT REALIZE that LUCAS hates you? You are part of the breed he leeches off of, while he ruins what we all grew up with. Do you not realize without spreading the art of Star Wars to a new generation, it will die? I will indoctrinate my child as much as I can, but it's hard to do so when surrounded by 30 somethings that care merely for themselves.
Bravo!!! This has got to be the best fireworks show by far associated with "Star Wars". That reminds me of the final scene in "Return of the Jedi" where they had fireworks on it when it calls for a celebration in Endor. The music for this show was made by the immortal John Williams who composed the score for many of the great movies including "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", the "Indiana Jones" series, the "Back to the Future" trilogy, "ET" and many others.
@DisneyFireworks BTW, the show starts off with the "20th Century-Fox Fanfare", the music that opens every single movie from Fox right up this day, along with some great music from the "Star Wars" saga from the prequels through the trilogy. I love the "Star Wars" movies, thanks to Disney and the entire crew for doing a job well done!
OK, I agree, the original trilogy rocked (4,5,6), but, there is no plans for an Episode 7, 8, or 9. George Lucas announced shortly before The Phantom Menace premiered, that the movies will only be 6 Episodes and the latter three will not be made. He also promised a live action TV series which I am still waiting for. I thought Episode 3 was pretty great!
This was my personal favorite event of a totally awesome weekend! Congratulations to Jason S. and Everyone involved at Disney! I loved the soundtrack!
It's nice to see that Disney cares about their fans and realizes the importance of the dedication that many have to a franchise like Star Wars. Many companies would see these people as "geeks" or "losers", but Star Wars fans have a deep passion and love for the films and most other things associated with them. Thanks for taking care of us, and celebrating Star Wars, rather than pushing the nerds aside :]
So damn good I got chills, and I wasnt even there, thanks again A.M. for sharing! Remember when MGM had the best fireworks back in the day? This I think is the best I've seen from Disney in years, Epcot's World Celebration was my fav, music on that is amazing. thanks again.
EPIC, except for that darn Mickey hat! Ruined the whole look of the street and covers the Chinese Theater which was originally the landmark piece to the park...I can't stand that hat, seems so out of place....love disney fireworks, they are unmatched!
4:46 . . . only one word describes this part.... EPIC!!!!!! Oh gosh i can't wait to see Star Wars in 3D!!!
