I like how te fire fighters in this video keep the main line rope tight and also the method for anchoring the rope outside ensures the door will not close on them while inside. Large area search though in itself is dangerous with or without a search rope.The best and most effective method for searhing a large area is to ventilate and increase visibility to speed up the seach process so that we are not searching large open structure on our hands and knees.
