I've not got an ls1 yet I'm buying one very soon though I found one that runs 12.1 and pulls the front left wheel for 8500 and it sounded like you lt was stock mine sounded identical when I first bought it and here's a hint take that spoiler off it looks like my cobalts haha

Damn, I wish I had some nice road like that here. I've hit 100 mph in 4th gear, but that was at night in an empty city street. Haven't topped her out yet. It's a '94 Trans Am with 6 speed manual, K&N intake, longtube headers, Magnaflow exhaust, and a Stage 2 clutch. I need some new tires though, 'cause these damn Dorals don't hook up at all.

@JPARKERZ28 ill mail them to you if you want to pay postage and i live in bowling green ky weve got a pretty big track down here and the 13.8 was best it would do found out later maf sensor was bad which caused it to missfire like fuck so that could have been part of plus anything you do major to these cars needs to be tuned good same as an ls1 which i prefer 2 to 1 over any lt1 it also had a full exhaust and cats removed still couldnt tell power difference plus lt1's are bottom end cars not top

Which is the Zr1. 605hp vs 630hp. Vette is lighter and has WAAAAAAAAY better suspension and balance. The Super snake is a fast boat. Its a badass car but itll always be just a mustang.
have you checked your tensioner? the harmonic balancer might not be functioning properly. there should be enough tension there to prevent the belt from slipping. the other thing is do you spray a cleaner in your engine that is not a degreaser? this could make it slick and slip. could slip right off of the balancer if you're not careful. mine never did that. 1997 formula was my car.
Jazamora7- mine did seem to pull when breaking. New pads and rotors fixed it but it was more of a shaking than pulling when i stopped. As for the play in the wheel, i have not experienced that yet.May want to look into your power stearing pully and what not.
it also seems like the exhaust hits the floor of the car on driver side when taking off. i checked under it and tried to find where it was making contact but it didnt seem to move very much. i did notice that the welding broke on the passenger side tailpipe. the car came has 3 inch exhaust with y-pipeand long tubes. any suggestions?
LT1 but if it did it was about damn time that in 01 ford caught up to early 90's GM engines. now they they need to catch up to the LSX engines, which i doubt they will, by the way "YOU'RE" means "you are" and not "your"
considering ur stang in 01 stockhad 239hp, and even a 93 formula had 275hp, you would pretty much be the first to win. not to say theres no way u would beat the LS1. unless the driver was a retard. ford had to supercharge the cobra to beat formulas, trans ams, z28's, and the SS. not to say I hate mustangs (i like the 99-04), but they are weaker than my ever favorite firebirds, plus so many people have mustangs, theyr nothing special anymore =/

Had 2 of them, 10 years apart, took excellent care of them and they still went to hell. Owned a '04 Mustang GT and never had a single problem with it except for a broken tail housing that resulted because the previous owner ran over something that bent the driveshaft.

It's pretty damn known the SBC motors willl last forever properly maintained while the 2v's will pop headgaskets/crack intake manifolds not to mention only making like 280-300rwhp with bolt ons and cams lol, just to keep up with a bone stock ls1.
@Bbdrew Granted my '92 RS was probably run hard before I had it. I bought it with 120K miles on it. But the '01 SS I bought had only dealer miles on it and I was the first owner so I don't know what to say about that. The dash even squeaked on the test drive. Granted the ls1 motors were pretty tough. Have a buddy with a 2002 WS6 and he's scared the shit out of me a couple of times. Will give them one thing, they do have a hell of a top end.

My engine light comes on ALL the time. The sensor in the gas tank keeps tripping the light for some reason. Once the tank gets below half it will come on. More so in teh cold. I got a programmer so i can just clear the code myself i felt bad going to AutoZone every week. And yes, F-bodies are great, love them all!!
my firebird does the same thing with the light and i took it to a shop and they told me that it was one of the spark plug that was causing it to do that :/
I actually got my programmer on ebay from this place that buys old programmers and then reprograms them. Back when they first came out once you used it it was locked to that VIN number....this place i guess can unlock it so you can use it on another car. It is totally worth the $150 =)
I've got a 95 lt1 and i'm just wondering if i need new window seals if when i hit around 100mph i can hear the wind howling between my windows and my t-tops.
Yeah i do. I can hear it start to get loud around 80! Seals help but there is always a little noise cuz the windows dont seal like most cars, they stay on the outside of the door.
yea thats what i thought because it doesnt leak when it rains or anything but a power car wash hits it just right to make it seem like the window isnt even there i noticed the second day i had my car so now i use the do-it-yourself ones lol

70% of the f-bodies produced are automatics, and GM make a solid auto. get some underdrive pulleys for cheap power, and avoid "air foils" at all costs, they're a bunk gimmick.
Anything is possible with a good solid GM V8. Plus the car sounds sweet as hell already and man does it move!I would get in a lot of trouble with a car like that. I've got a pontiac grand am with the 3400 right now so there's not really much to get in trouble with =)

The noise ended up being the water pump going out. In the winter i also get some noise from the belt but it goes away once it warms up

considering ur stang in 01 stockhad 239hp, and even a 93 formula had 275hp, you would pretty much be the first to win. not to say theres no way u would beat the LS1. unless the driver was a retard. ford had to supercharge the cobra to beat formulas, trans ams, z28's, and the SS. not to say I hate mustangs (i like the 99-04), but they are weaker than my ever favorite firebirds, plus so many people have mustangs, theyr nothing special anymore =/

Too bad your 01 GT is still a wimpy ass 4.6 sohc that puts out 260 hp stock. Try comparing a 2001 Camaro with your 2001 mustang. Should've gotten yourself an ls1 camaro for the same money, cheaper insurance, higher gas mileage, and yet it has 90 more hp.

Had 2 of them, 10 years apart, took excellent care of them and they still went to hell. Owned a '04 Mustang GT and never had a single problem with it except for a broken tail housing that resulted because the previous owner ran over something that bent the driveshaft.

It's pretty damn known the SBC motors willl last forever properly maintained while the 2v's will pop headgaskets/crack intake manifolds not to mention only making like 280-300rwhp with bolt ons and cams lol, just to keep up with a bone stock ls1.

@Bbdrew Granted my '92 RS was probably run hard before I had it. I bought it with 120K miles on it. But the '01 SS I bought had only dealer miles on it and I was the first owner so I don't know what to say about that. The dash even squeaked on the test drive. Granted the ls1 motors were pretty tough. Have a buddy with a 2002 WS6 and he's scared the shit out of me a couple of times. Will give them one thing, they do have a hell of a top end.

My engine light comes on ALL the time. The sensor in the gas tank keeps tripping the light for some reason. Once the tank gets below half it will come on. More so in teh cold. I got a programmer so i can just clear the code myself i felt bad going to AutoZone every week. And yes, F-bodies are great, love them all!!

my firebird does the same thing with the light and i took it to a shop and they told me that it was one of the spark plug that was causing it to do that :/

I actually got my programmer on ebay from this place that buys old programmers and then reprograms them. Back when they first came out once you used it it was locked to that VIN number....this place i guess can unlock it so you can use it on another car. It is totally worth the $150 =)

Yeah i do. I can hear it start to get loud around 80! Seals help but there is always a little noise cuz the windows dont seal like most cars, they stay on the outside of the door.

NICE RIDE, i got a 95 formula and i love it. but im pretty sure you can go faster than 110. my speedo goes to 155, or w/e just like yours, and it'll do all of that...hopefully soon i'll b uploading some vids of my car

70% of the f-bodies produced are automatics, and GM make a solid auto. get some underdrive pulleys for cheap power, and avoid "air foils" at all costs, they're a bunk gimmick.

Anything is possible with a good solid GM V8. Plus the car sounds sweet as hell already and man does it move!I would get in a lot of trouble with a car like that. I've got a pontiac grand am with the 3400 right now so there's not really much to get in trouble with =)
