This was for Britney then Ne-Yo said Jive (Britney's label) wasn't returning calls or giving money so he thought they didnt want it so he gave it to Nicole to put on her solo album but the solo album failed so she put it on Doll Domination

i don't really know all the history of this song but the first version of this song was backstreet boys version... this is like a remake... i think.........

Actually, it was written by Ne-Yo for Britney... but this was back when she was like psycho, so the song was sold to Nichole Scherzinger, the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. When she got it, she gave rights to the dolls. They weren't going to release the song anytime soon because they were still promoting their first album. During this time, the Backstreet Boys tried it out, but couldn't put it on their album because it was decided that it would indeed be on the Dolls' new album...

Let me clear this up for you:

Ne-yo wrote 6-8 songs for Britney, but sense she díd not reply, he, thought she didnt want the songs, so he met Nicole, & she heard the songs, & loved two of, them, & she cut him a check.

& thats when Britneys people called him, saying: "Why are you giving away, Britneys music?", & he said: "I sold my music, you did not cut me a check".

So there you have it.
