i'm planning to install the game today, i'm sure it won't run as well on mine, especially due to a low end CPU and 1.5GB DDR2, the FPS and detail don't only depend on the video card, but also on the cpu and ram, if all goes well, i'll upgrade my platform to LGA1155 untill the end of the year, planning on buying a core i5 2300 and atleast 4GB DDR3, i probably won't have any problems after that, because the crappy pentium d 820, 2.8GHz just doesn't cut it

@danner504 Uhm I assume your Ati Radeon 2100 is built into the motherboard so you can't have the GT 220 run at the same time with it. I dont think you can crossfire/sli nvidia or ATi but If I were you I would just get a GTS 450. They are cheap and perform fairly well excellent in most games you may have to tone down the res a bit though.

@madara435 For me at first it was kinda disappoint because someone recommended me 260 but i didn't have the money so i purchased 220 and at first try it was good but a high starcraft 2 was kinda laggy when clashing and then i figured out why it was like that first my RAM is like pc 6000 which is bad or not recommended 4 sc2 and second my processor which is dual core but 1.6 Ghz(which is very slow compared to 2.6) so i changed first the processor and it was very very fast and graphics was smooth.

I've been hearing mixed reviews about this card, some say it is terrible, while others are really happy with, i need a proper opinion on this.

I have enough only for this card at the moment, how well will my PC run this at say.. medium graphics on 1024x768 ? I also have Lost Planet, Borderlands and Far Cry. but just want too see if it can even handle CoD, thanks!

@DigitalXAQ This video card is pretty much perfect for any game at 1024x768. I played borderlands on that resolution and it was very playable.

But if I were you man, Id try and get a video card that is a tad better.

You can get the GTS 450 for 90 dollars AFTER rebate on newegg.com

You will get the hugest performance increase for just a little extra dough.

But the GT 220 should satisfy your needs. BTW the GTS 450 runs sweet on a 400watt system.

But fps games like Left 4 dead 2, i get around 30-80 fps. DDR2 severely cripples the card. I can run left 4 dead 2 maxed out though.

But to be honest, if you have a 400 watt power supply, I would suggest the GTS 450 from newegg.com, specifically the evga version because it is cheaper. It is 99 dollars AFTER rebate I believe, and theres cheaper ones also.

But yeah, the GT 220 is an alright video card..but I did replace it.

It won't run it with EVERYTHING maxed (especially resolution) but if you turn down the resolution to a reasonable one like 1024x768 or a little bit higher, you can run CoD4 no problem.

And secondly, I play CoD4 on all low settings because its better that way.

But the GT 220 will be able to run CoD4.

@pnitro4 lol i gotchyah, I could do it but all my dad did was take out the video card and put it back in, and instead he used VGA instead of DVI. then magically the computer started working without any problems during games..

You'd imagine IF it was a major video card problem, your screen and graphics and shit like that would turn colors and just look awkward, but that doesn't happen.

I think either the GT 220 could be drawing too much power or something..thus shutting off the PSU? I dk.

No, GT220 will never have any problems with power. It doesnt even need to be connected to the PSU, thus no connectors supplied. Its not a gaming card but everyday use, mainstream card.:)

Of COURSE the GTX 480 is going to RAPE the GT 220 in any aspect you can imagine.

Trust me, with everything maxed out the GT 220 is a piece of shit for MW2.

The only reason I'm not lagging too bad is because my Res is set at 1024x768.

The GT 220 is good for low resolution gaming, other than that buy something more powerful.

Yeah, a GT 240 512MB GDDR5 card isn't the best for 1920x1080 gaming, but for a lower resolution it can be great and still look fantastic. Can always adjust the settings a bit. You can get one for about $77.

5670 is faster and has DX11, but I probably prefer the Nvidia features, though it depends on what you want. Something even faster like 5750 or 5770 would be best, anything faster is overkill probably.
