This game looks rreeeaalllyyy good so far, but I am trying not to get my hopes up too high. In all my years of gaming, the only MMO that met or exceeded my expectations was WOW. Bash that game all you want, but when WOW was released, it was an amazing game. I hope Guild Wars can pull it off, but I've been disappointed so many times before. Most recently with SWTOR.

@Marclb99 WoW was expected to get 1 Million copies bought in one year. That was done in one day, this was about 2-3 times their current player base and now they have over 10 Millionen. It didn't just copy everquest, DAoC,... they deleted all big mistakes at that time and made their own system, which is now the standard. Many MMORPGs failed, that same step. Now GW2 is trying the same and it looks great up to now, but i may remind all SWTOR, AION, Rift were all good titles but failed
@swdrgn no, gw2 is for the clever people who don't spend £9 ($15) a month paying for a game that doesn't even need your contribution. Gw1 got on fine with no sub fee and arenanet is making a second one with that same principle. Things like wow are just taking your money. The only reason why they're taking your money is bcause of the 'old way' of mmo's, where the upkeep of servers needed money, whereas now servers aren't a problem

@Skyrimloveit4ever we have been patient for years! Wow has tons of glitches after a new expansion though no one gives a shit because they are helped alot by the community that report these to blizzard, therefor alot of them get fixed real soon. IF i find 1 damn fucking bug in this game it says me they wasted a half year of our lives. Either get it all, or release it and let it grow, there is no gray area for failure after waiting ages!
Personally I really want to get into an MMO game as WoW was boring as hell. Im currently on SWTOR but the graphicall look of it is not doing it for me. But this... This looks amazing I cant wait to play this game and hopefully get hooked on it. I'm loving the look of this game.
This demo has confirmed my GW fears: 1. Players dont need skills just randomly bulk damage...2. Battles will requiere spend more than half the time ressing suicidal noobs. 3. Look at that dragon "boss?" static like a sitting duck (hit me Im a dummy)...with so much dinamics as they say... why doesnt the dragon move, fly, chase and ripp of players with its claws...GW1 had 90% population of brainless players and players quality will not have any appreciation here as everybody is rewarded the same.
@YoshidaKeiji Nope, this game requires more skill then any other MMO. They're taking away the grind philosophy and have increased the complexity of creating builds with more skills, weapon buffs, armor buffs, attacks that require special movements, dodging ect.
All these things require fast reflexes and skill in terms of building your characters build.
Unlike 95% of other MMO's, GW2 WON"T be the longer you play the better you are. Its whoever has more skill will win. END OF STORY.
@spnwinchester2 Everything was right except your last two lines. A level five wont hold a candle to a level 40, no matter how much skill he has. The level 40 will be better armed and armored, and have more powerful abilities. Not to mention the 40 will have higher max health and plenty of little talent-tree-like character improvements.
@phantom125555 Actually in Structured PVP everybody will be max level with same stats,skills and equipment. Therefore there is no difference between players,only skill. In WvWvW gear affects your stats but everyone is scaled up by just stats. So even though at level 5 you only have limited amount of skills you would still be able to hold your own to an extent in WvWvW
@allu834 Actually yes they do. You get boosted to lvl 80 stats wise. But only have skills/traits that you have acquired. On top of that your gear adds onto those boosted stats.
@YoshidaKeiji The Boss's dont require to move around as such, as with most large scale battles there are quite a few things happening in the surrounding- Dragon spawns minons, bone walls, and it still can rip players up with its claws, casts fear. and if your worried that their to easy to take down, ive seen countless videos where they fail to kill the boss. Note that these are all demo videos as well, i wouldnt be surprised if they nerfed the difficulty as its only a demo.
@HelionDark world pvp can be over 100,200,300,400...players but the 5v5 your talking about is control based meaning there are placing that a side needs to take over for points so most if not all of the fighting will be done around the places your team needs to control. Guild Wars 1 was based mostly on pvp so they are really good at it if not the best. It will not be bad =)
@HelionDark I would have to disagree, pvp is no bigger than the orignal gw pvp maps. In all the PvP videos ive seen where ever the players are thats where the battle is, Larger map just means larger diverse way to go about planning your attack and where it would work best. The trebuchet will require such space to be effective aswell.

@Chrillmeisterful Well Norn Females, Appear to be much taller. Given that the Norn are a much different race than Humans. There will be different aesthetics in character customization. Norn females can also turn into one of the Four Spirit Animals, Bear,Raven,Wolf,Snow Leopard.
@THEpapanasta1 You don't need one BUT if you do have one you can do things ingame to get bonus weapons and items in Guild Wars 2! It's called the Hall of Monuments Rewards, google it!

@finalsent right on! I actually played in Tera Focus Group #1 was very impressed but after the second focus group test the game seem to lack direction. The best thing Tera has going for is the slash style non-targeting system and the graphics.
I am excited but as for the event in the catacombs, I wish the boss would just kill the players if they didn't dodge. Or at least harm them a great deal.

i love the team fortress elements, team fortress classic was a very well balanced and enjoyable game, im really pleased to see gw2 using their strong formula

@TheFlyingElephanter It's available to all races at the end of a dynamic event chain. They uncoupled it from the chain to give demo players a chance to see it. But yes, you can play and rape the dragon into the ground with everyone. GW2 ain't racist.

@finalsent right on! I actually played in Tera Focus Group #1 was very impressed but after the second focus group test the game seem to lack direction. The best thing Tera has going for is the slash style non-targeting system and the graphics.

@Forcedmetomakethis The enemies were nerfed because this was most peoples first time playing. The game is harder then it's presented in the demos.

@Forcedmetomakethis Remember it's not a full game yet. Balancing is really hard and will probably be fixed as the game progresses. I mean all mmo:s are still balancing their games ;)
But you're right hope they don't go down WoWs road .... making it really easy cause some 12 year olds whine :S

@Moglis00 The class is Elementalist. The price will be $59.99 for the game, and the release date is currently unknown. My guess for the open beta will be somewhere within the next 20 days, judging by some of the stuff not being buyable in the NC store anymore after a certain date.

@TheFlyingElephanter It's available to all races at the end of a dynamic event chain. They uncoupled it from the chain to give demo players a chance to see it. But yes, you can play and rape the dragon into the ground with everyone. GW2 ain't racist.
