  • Dude. First finish college and get you're degree. Doesn't really matter what degree, just get atleast a Bachellors. Then if you're not sure about a long-term commitment in teaching english in japan. Then apply for TEFL, if not, then apply for either TESL, JET, or CELTA. I myself am going to do TEFL, cause I'm not going to be teaching in Japan for very long.

  • Yeah, start now and keep at it! It'll make things much easier later on.

    You might start by tutoring the international students at your college pro bono.  I wish I had done that. It helps them, it teaches you, and it looks good on a resume/application....
