look you can fish all day and in the last hour catch carp two at a time. if there feeding they will eat anything. Anchovei, sardine and green lipped mussel boiles sound great . WHY because they are designed to catch anglers not carp.do you think a feeding carp will ignore a crab and strawberry boile. instead of a Anchovei, sardine and green lipped mussel boile, no if there feeding they will bite and eat what ever is there
roughly 2 eggs, 2/3 cups of flour and corn meal, a little bit of vanilla extract and a packet of strawberry kool-aid never hurts. Roll the dough into little balls and throw them in a pot of boiling water for a couple minutes.
For winter I would look at using single bait tactics, and using very high viz boilies. Carp don't move around as much during colder conditions so you need to have your bait as visible as possible, more so as you wont be chucking in tons of bait for attracting them into swim.
Location is especially important during winter. We do have a page which reveals more about location during winter.
