  • paloma herrera is amzing, i love her! but i will always love natalia osipova as kitri!

  • Her jumps are kinda too heavy but in general not bad.

  • feet <3 wow great feet she has

  • is this the same dancer from the movie The Turning Point? She really looks like her!

  • Actually she is the best dancer of the World. She has a wonderful career. Un orgullo para todos los Latinoamericos.

  • Her beautiful feet made me cry

  • el día que Paloma Herrera trasmita algo bailando, yo voy a bailar como Anna Pavlova!

  • me encanta ella baila tan bello

  • not bad

  • Amazing Dancer+ Beautiful tutu= Best Kitri Ever!!!!!!

  • HER FEEEEEEEEET

  • Cringing so much.

  • Mais c'est dingue, elle est née avec des pointes greffées aux pieds ou quoi ??? :O Elle est incroyable !!

  • EXCELENTE!!!!!!BRAVO!!!

  • la adoro!!!!

  • she makes it look like she could do it in her sleep

  • nice!!!

  • whoa

  • With the intricate arm movements and step sequences of flamenco, why is there not a solid crossover style? Ballet often takes on 'themes' like the hispanic feel of this variation and the eastern exoticism of La Bayadere. I can easily see bhangra ballet, flamenco ballet and chinese/japanese/korean fan dance translated to ballet, but staying true the technical elements of both parties, not just becoming very thematic 'contemporary dance' or 'lyrical-with-pointe-shoes-to-ethnic-music'

  • She taught me at my ballet company and it was an amazing experienced!

  • @TheIzzy0319 aah how was she!?

  • Her arches are.... just wow!

  • Her feet her feet make the others look like they're not pointing

Her legs her legs straighten and she's not even trying!

    She's so beautiful.

And I watch this vid. everyday!

  • I would die for those feet!

  • like this ^^

  • i didnt know feet could be that beautiful!

  • i wish my feet were as squishy as hers , my arch sucks

  • Incredible

  • Perfect!!!!

  • I know sylvie guillem has danced kitri too, but palloma's version is the best. she is more 'kitri' than sylvie. of course, before I'm attacked by sylvie's fans: each to their own. bravo!

  • wow!!!!

  • Votaron 21 envidiosos................

  • My friend is doing a varition for this! I wish I could go watch :(

  • oh yes, what just delightful, lovely, expressive and gorgeoussssssssssss FEET. Too bad a cement mixer butt and zero artistry go with those sublime, exquisite, good-enough-to-eat, and dandy FEET. Go wash your feet, little ballet newbies.

  • hi so i noticed u said u did competition dance.. can u please explain it to me? ive been thinking about getting involved too, but im very nervous! ive danced since i was 3 and i love to preform, but i go to Boston ballet, a professional ballet school , so i have mostly training in ballet. to do a competition do u have to go to a special school? also, can u please explain competitions to me in general? thank you!

  • I want her feet so badly!!! Although I know that's quite impossible...

  • This is my dream role

  • is her back leg supposed to bebent on the second grande jete?

  • only 2 words... GOOD FEET!!

  • Esta es la mejor performance que he visto depues de la de la Rusa Alexandrova

  • who would dislike this?

  • @KGDance101 well, you can buy the types of pointe shoes which are already broken in ie they have a super soft shank, though i wouldn't suggest them if your feet aren't quite strong. usually, they're made for professionals who don't want to waste time breaking shoes in. if that's not an option, you can always get a new pair of normal pointe shoes and use your hands to break them in; just make sure you break them at the right spot along the shank

  • STUNNING!!

  • i never see feets like that

  • she's amazing and her feet are just GORGEOUS i would defiantly love to have feet like that........does anybody have tips to make my ankles stronger (for my pointe shoes)??

  • @KGDance101 if you practice really slow rises for a few minutes a day, they improve all your muscles for pointe, unless you're training the Vaganova way, that's a different story

  • @Kata397533 thanks!!!!! i got picked to be in the AAB summer program and i need new pointe shoes but the problem is..... i need to break them in extremely fast!!!!! do you have any suggestions for me?????

p.s. do you do dance,,,,, if you do what kinds???? and thanks for the tip ill be sure to practice!!!!!

  • The best Kitri I ever saw.

  • ikr totaly agree

  • @MaiteDietze u should watch natalia osipova

  • The best Kitri I ever saw.

  • the way she moves her body is beautiful i much prefer this to Nina Ananiashvili's version - she has all the technicalities down to a tee but she doesn't let them overshadow the sense of fun and femininity she brings to the stage - im 14 and i've been doing ballet for 11 years - i hope to be like Paloma some day

  • wat kind of point shoe does she wear? it fits her flawless feet amazingly!

  • @KGDance101 freeds

  • Wow, her feet are amazing. I almost died on those echappes and attitudes. She is so gorgeous

  • Omg! Her échappés...and chaînés...and everything! is absolutely amazing!! We did this variation in class one day and it's really fun but also really hard!!

  • She's the main reason I'm proud of being Argentinian. I'm currently taking contemporary jazz at the same dance studio where she first started ballet and somehow it makes me feel so good knowing that Paloma once was at that same dance classroom.

  • GEEEEEEEEEEEEENTE, MAIS QUE PERFEITA

  • Orgullo nacional!!!

  • She looks feather light! She makes it look so easy. GREAT JOB!

  • She has this aristocratic or nobility air when she dances. Some people criticize her for her arms or claim she over works her feet...but I think she is soooo elegant when she dances and her musicality is perfect. When she does the walks on pointe...she truly looks like she is floating. It's amazing. I think her Kitri is MAGNIFICENT.

  • THE FEET!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how can you not like this dancer! she is perfect in technique and grace and her pirouettes are beautiful...i am a dancer and this woman is a great idol!! well done!!

  • She just has so much kitri flare. I just love it!!!

  • omg best kitri ive seen maybe... Lol i love that it isnt the traditional kitri!

  • stunning. perfect

  • she has amzing arches..

  • i'm in love with her jetés!

  • Oh my god, her chaine turns at the end!

  • whats the name of the actual song?

  • oh my gosh.

    so perfect.

  • EMINENCIA!!

  • I simply adore this variation and am trying to perfect the way i perform it....I know very well that it won't look as beautiful as when she does it, but I'm not a professional yet and i still have many years to go :)

  • ¡Bravo!

  • She is amazing in all areas of ballet. Even her feet! Their BEATIFUL! Shes as graceful as a swan! Her legs are so amazing and strong!

  • does anyone know what shoes she wears?

  • @thenewno9 she wears Blochs

  • ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She makes it look so easy!

  • maravilhosooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • MARAVILLOSA!!!!!!

  • wow, she's great!

  • What is the move called at 0:52 ?

  • @enpointe64 'attitude tour en dedans solé' or 'attitude tour en dedans sauté'

  • @bxzxoxu Thank you :)

  • ONe of my favourite part from Don Quijote Thanks

  • i can not find one thing wrong with that, it was perfect! she's so beautiful!

  • FELICITACIONES!! como Argentina me siento orgullosa de ver esta esquisitez!! ADMIRABLE!! NO HAY PALABRAS!!!

  • Absolutely beautiful!!! Paloma Herrera rules

  • wow - pause at 0:18 and look at her foot! amazing...

  • I would kill to have her feet, they're insane.

  • i did this variation once its so much fun! obviously i cant do it at all like her her feet are ridiculous! so pretty!

  • beauty, grace, lovely expression. But...it seems she's a little behind the tempo of the music, which is perfect.

  • Amazing dancer, but the way thatshe handles the fan looks... Idk... akward. Like she is trying to swat a fly out of her face or something.

  • Mio dio! Già quando esce dalle quinte e sbuca la gamba ti viene male! *w*

  • I think I just fell in love with her feet....

  • @mentallyxmelani i totally agree my feet are really weird looking so if i had her feet my #1 insecurity would be fixed! :)

  • shes my absolute favorite. and she's the only one who makes that echappe position look beaiutiful

  • why are all the great ballerinas so extremely skinny? and i take ballet 4 times a week including pointe and I'm normal-sized (or whatever word you'd like to use)........i don't feel like I'll ever look as good because I'm not super skinny

  • @uhscubs13 Professional dancers train every day for hours and usually supplement that training with gym time and an extremely intricate diet plan. Try doing some other non-dance physical activities on days you don't have dance and eat as well and fresh as you possibly can. Hopefully you'll see some improvement!

  • @uhscubs13 these girls dance probably way over 6 hours a day 5-6 days a week plus rehearsals, eat at a healthy minimum (never plunging on super fatty high cal foods, but fruits and veggies loaded with energy, because they need it) im the "normal size" too and im working on getting a bit more slim & it depends on whos watching to see if it looks good, sometimes those boney girls dont have a lot of grace and fluidity & look dead, so just focus on technique grace & stage presence & you'll look good

  • mamma non si può capiree!!

  • GORGEOUS FEET!!!!! she's amazing must i say.

  • she is so good

  • linda (:

  • she has other accents in the music the I use to see with the echappes

  • Nooooossa que minina liinda

E esse pé que é maravilhoso!!

    Muito linda

  • This was soo amazing! One of the best versions of this variation I've seen!!

  • it's a great affect that she never looks stressed. she just looks completely jazzed to be doing it.

  • bravo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no cabe mas!

  • her foot *.*

  • her arch is really good.

  • WOW - her turns at the end! Excellent.

  • senza parole stupenda!

  • she makes it look so easy...she's absolutelly stunning, her feet are amazing...flawless performance!!i just love the video :)

  • stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Praticamente perfetta!!! Stupenda!

  • What I like so much about Paloma Herrera is her flawless performance quality. She has the perfect air of femininity, grace, and playfulness in this variation, and her musicality is spot-on. And unlike others I've seen do this variation, she seems so...grounded. Not overdoing it. Just putting on a subtle smile and floating across the stage as though it's second nature.

It also helps that her feet are INSANE!

  • Comment removed

  • I saw her and Angel Correla perform the full length Don Q. not long after they came to New York. They were astounding. Sold out house, full standing ovation and 17 curtain calls!

  • No shes from Argentina

  • her feet are astoundingly pretty!

  • Wonderfulll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ahhhh es hermosisima baila lindisimo ...... la admiro....:)

  • Isn't she Cuban? I think she came from The National ballet of Cuba. Is this true? You know Alicia Alonso's company.

  • Paloma es Argentina y est en el American Ballet

  • No, she´s from Argentina.

  • @brewskyxxx No, she is Argentinian

  • perfection!

  • she IS kitri!

  • yes she IS kitri...and OMG her feet=AMAZING

  • i no right shes my all time favorite dancer!

  • She's wonderful!

  • her feet are perfection. that's really all there is to it!

  • I LOVE HER

  • amoo esta variacion...i amo a paloma herrera ... es mi idola...es lo mas!!

  • THE BEST KITRI EVER! There will NEVER be one Kitri as graceful as Paloma. SHe is the Mozart of ballet.

  • we did this variation in class once haha

dancing with fans is so annoying haha :p i usually drop mine like 10 times...

  • GOD I LOVE HER

  • I loved the attitude at the end verrry nice!

  • MARAVILLOSA!!

  • I've never seen a ballet dancer who dances Kitri as good as she does. She's just perfect in this role and you can see how much she loves what she's doing.

  • she has such amazing arches and feet. And her dancing is fluid and gracefull.

  • feeeeeeeeeeet!

i think the hops en pointe are done better by nina ananiashvili. But she is beautiful and her feet are AMAZING! I wish i could dance like her!

  • i want her feet, mine suck and have hardley any arch to them

  • Meravigliosa !

  • she's a beautiful dancer! one of my favorites. i love to watch her dance.

  • gorgeous feet :D

  • wow I admire her! she's a great ballerina! love you paloma! =D

  • they slowed down the music ALOT!!!!!!!!!

wow its a easy variation if its this slow lol

  • did you just watch the first part?

  • no ive done this variation before, but mine was sooo much faster and 2Xs more

cept the part from the corner that was the tempo but like that the whole way through........... but she did good

  • her hands and arms seem floppy her legs are very strong but she always goes through thing with to quick movements that are supposed to be more swift than she makes them.

  • ahahahah... paloma herrera need work... ahahahahah

    Surely!

  • wow shes sooo awsome!!!

  • lvoe you paloma a!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • diosa pero horribles brazos y manos..

gorgeous but uggly arms and hands..

  • One of the best dancers of all time. She dances like she is a part of the music.

  • Paloma makes me feel proud of being argentinian, Bravo!!!!!

  • i dont like her...sure she is very talented but she cant really dance.she doent move well or easily.kitri is owned to vishneva or osipova

  • i completely agree... i think abt took her on too early. i love sylvie guillem's kitri-- the very little of it you can find on the internet

  • i agree,la guillem is brilliant,so is vishneva but i think the kitri of this generation belongs to natalia osipova

harrera has a beautiful technique and immense potential,i just wished someone worked with her on her linking steps

good dancing is about how well you move in between the bigger steps.she needs to be more fluid and less static

  • Yes!!!!! I couldn't agree with you more!!!!!!!!

It will always belong to natalia osipova!!!!!!

  • i agree, she is explosive, daring and such a performer.plus she is one of the few who really gets the flamenco style

osipova is unreal, she has to be the greatest of her generation-hands down!

  • i forgot to mention that alina cojocaru is a brilliant kitri too.

its quite interesting to see the different styles done by different companies,i still find the russians to really capture the flamenco style where as the french/paris opera just lose the plot completely.look at what a great dancer du pond is but her kitir lacks finesse.hererra should do better considering she is latin american

  • i like her, but I noticed that something about the way she

moved was well... different. but i still enjoyed the dance very much.

  • but its not even how she moves, she doesnt ever seem to really finish a line, she dosnt get a full extension on her jetes before she lands, there isnt any clarity in her movement

  • Yeah you are right. Natalia owns that dance!!!!!!!

  • @urranuss I agree, Vishneva is the ultimate Kitri, I don't like Osipova's as much but it is still brilliant

  • @ravegods i absolutely adore osipova,to me she is the ultimate kitri..she owns that role like no other..but vishneva isnt far behind her

  • I love those steps near the end 1:05. I wonder who's the one who got that idea? The early videos of the Kirov really don't have that...

  • Una genia, sus movimientos a la perfección. Orgullosa de que sea argentina.

  • She has great feet and she knows it and takes advange of it ;)

  • She doesn't just dance the role of Kitri.

    Paloma Herrera IS Kitri!

  • perfetto sei bravissima

  • she's my favorite in this variation!

  • she is perfect

  • I bsolutley love paloma she is my idol

and i have really enjoyed this variation she performed
