The early and late queen were the best, I think. As the band grew the focus shifted more to vocals, and in the middle there was no clear focuse but the frist few and last few albums are my favorite albums, ever. (specifically, sheer heart attack (not the song, the album), and innuendo (ditto))

@rden94 with the horrible things that HIV/AIDS does to the human body, Freddies voice changed but theres no way that there is anything 'weak' about it. He was just as great, if not better when he was dying and if he never had this horrid virus, he would probably still be here but the songs, like Scandal, would probably never of existed. It all depends on how you look at it, but HIV, was something given to him and he was someone who made even that, beautiful. Think of that with the last albums.

so from 87 to 89 he wasnt that sick.. he still had strength and energy his health didnt get bad until 1990 Freddie died shortly before the aids prescription cocktails came out to treat HIV. His partner Jim Hutton had Hiv but he lived for another 20 years dying from a non aids related illness. If Freddie contracted aids a bit later he might still be alive today...
