Hi earntangmail, I think TJS is an opportunist. One month before GE he join in the game... after joining STP for 3 months, he resigned. One month before PE, he was the last one who sign up for the election, knowing that it will split the vote from the non-PAP supporters. He is an articulate person and able to gain favor from people who are emotionally against the PAP. That's my observation......
unemployment from wikipedia (updated march 2011) 1.9% (all economies have some form of unemployment. It's just natural rate unemployment in all societies.)
don't get me wrong i support him but it's just his figures are exaggerated? comparing to other countries, we're faring a lot better than most. We don't have budget deficit, we don't have ridiculously high unemployment, we don't have to deal with massive fundamental issues like US/Euro (coz it's different)
