@joutneyman OMGOSHHH thank you for this comment ; if i didn't read this one comment pretty sure i would still be googling anf youtubeing on how to insert this stupid strap LMAO
thank you soooooo much! that helped immensely! the manual made absolutely no sense! very good tutorial! u went slow and i understood everything! :) cheers
I spent x amount of money on a Canon and would say I am able to take relatively decent pictures, however I have been beaten by the neck strap. I almost felt like I needed to take the thing back with my head hung in shame. You have made me feel justified in my purchase again, thank you from the bottom of my heart and wallet.
Hey, do you know how to put videos from that canon to Movie Maker. I tried and it wouldnt work. And on the camera it looks really good but on the computer its horrible
type in 'Proper way to put on your camera strap' - one of a few films which shows a proper way, you can also look into 'user's manual' of any camera. My firnd uses 3 instead of five screws in the wheels of his car and he has never lost any of them. When you put in the right way, it just loo neat...this is my opinion anyway. regards
@romnika It is the way thats is explained in the manual, do you have a link to this other video please? Thanks for the comment, always good to hear feedback and comments of any kind. Can I also add I have never had the camera fall/drop even with heavier glass on. Rick
@rickjbradbury The "accepted" way of attaching the strap is to put the loose end UNDER the main strap inside the buckle, not over it. I don't think it's a big deal, but it's considered a better "lock" to have the loose end go underneath.
An example of the "normal" way is at video ID number: iLXLqPR5Qp4
However, I'm sure your method also works. I just don't think the strap is secured as well in the buckle. This is probably what @romnika was referring to.
nice video, i've actually never taken off my strap since i got my camera b/c of the annoyance of eventually having to put it back on lol.. also i like the strap on it w/ the red stripes etc.
Thanks for the video Rick. FYI - in live view or movie mode the eyepiece cover is not necessary according to my 7D manual. It may be different for some other cameras.
do you know of any quick release camera straps, so i can remove it completely quickly & easily just that sometimes it gets in the way and it takes too long to remove the original strap then put it back on
@Richard8485 there are straps that are put on like the way regular straps are but in the middle its a clip/buckle.. like something you would find on a backpack where u push the two sides in etc.. i heard they are useful but i dont know if i would like to use those.. just the mere thought if it snapped and my camera fell would give me a heart attack..but thats me being paranoid and im sure they are sturdy. =D
Thanks for this, very helpful :)
