Non ! Je ne pense pas une seconde que ce soit une salope. Elle a un coeur qui ne peut se séparer en deux et elle a fait un choix, celui qui lui semble le plus sûr. Mais, dans ces cas, elle doit cesser d'aller vers celui qu'elle a mis au ban et lui prouver son amour en le laissant se construire un amour, c'est tout. I love the combination of these two voices. Dionne could have easily over-powered Roberta, but she held back and kept the song "simple and easy" as it was originally intended. I never really *loved* Roberta until I saw her open for Dionne in a concert outside of Philly in the 80's. I always thought Roberta was bland and one dimensional. However, she completely changed my mind that night. She had the audience in the palm of her hand, and then Dionne came out and brought the house down. Clay

Uh, can you reread what I wrote. I said I "thought" that about Roberts, but my mind was changed when I saw her live. As far as Dionne not being a "belter," I disagree. Dionne is one of the best belters out there. What I like most about Dionne's "belting" is that it is more controlled than Gladys & Aretha, and you can understand every single word she sings. Furthermore, she does it without breaking a sweat, and she does not have to fall to her knees and contort her body and face to do so. Clay

L Vandross was singing backup for R Flack. You could tell it was him singing strictly backup only, no lead parts at all. The song I want to hear the most is Feel Like Makin Luv. I can't find it on itune, Napster, nowhere. Not that particular one anyway.
