  • NEEEEVVVVEEERRR!!!!!!

  • Super cars will live 4-EVER!! :D

  • I love this show

  • ahhh... no nice bitch...

  • they SHOULD kill the PT Cruiser....

    it is ridiculously ugly

  • Supercars will never go until the supporters and fans don't go.

  • the PT Cruiser is so fucking ugly! they should replace it or at least give it a facelift.

  • and a v8 with rwd

  • Super cars, as we think of them, i believe will come to an end soon. Of course there will always be cars that go insanely fast, and the cars to come will be faster. However, I think the days of big engines, and spine tingling exhaust notes, may be soon over. New supercars though will charm us in different ways than we are used to perhaps. Time will tell.

  • CLARKSON IS CLEVER BUT OVERATED!!! and derrek i don't think the super-car era is over i think theres just more room for innovation now, so exotic car companies may shy away from the typical my car is faster than yours. I think that the new era is good because it's finally personal. i love lamborghini because they're killing the one car fits all supercar commonality. FLD is great, but Clarkson has managed to become a freaking celebrity. I want Jay Leno to have a show.

  • No, there are still people out there with enough money to burn that can afford and make enough demand for manufacturers to produce super cars.

  • as long as we got pricks who wear tight shirts and tight pants at the age of 40, the supercar lives on

  • the pt looser needs to fucking die

  • is it a coincidence that your 650th episode is 6min 50 seconds long? lol congrats. looking forward to many many more

valentino prefers the RWD lambos, he is the man.

  • Clarkson said previously that he thought the McLaren F1 was the supercar defined. He reiterated this with the Veyron. As long as there is petrol, there will be supercars. Just how many supercars will be left, will be up to the people buying them. I think the news of the Electric R8 prove that even the biggest companies are coming to terms with the global fossil fuel situation. Or is it that Audi feel they are on to a winner with this stretched-TT-with-a-bit-in-the-middle... (Gisajob FLD--FLDUK?)

  • The age of the supercar will never be over.

I remember Clarkson saying that a couple years ago on some special, complaining that since the 1990's, with cars like the F40 and McLaren F1, nobody makes supercars anymore...

  • is the age of the super car over? hm.. let me think, we have ferrari that only make super car, carera gt, mclaren slr, ford gt, saleen s7 and allllllllllloooooooooooottttt more. there are always few people that are so rich and can easily buy super car with out even scratching their back. so i guess as long as there is demand, there will always be producers.

  • I think he is right as being the era of fire breathing v12 supercars will be gone. This leaves for room for small ultra light super cars to replace them. You will see alot more cars like the lotus esprit using common parts and being very light.

  • i don't think it was just the en of super cars, just a bitter farewell to the V12. i wish they would just show the same top gear season here in the us at the same time as in the uk so then we don't have to hunt for it on youtube. just a thought

  • I almost cried at the end of the last Top Gear episode. I hope this world I love isn't over. But with new technologies, I feel that cars eventually in a near future will be no longer cars, and our classics will be used only used in track days. That would be so sad. So sad.

  • hell no... check out Ferrari's new 458... more like thos will come

  • The End of the supercar era aint over yet. As i'm sure most SuperCar Manufactures would agree, But definitely Changed Drastically, In other Words Made Boring. the Era of Exciting Supercars ( & the cars in general) is coming to its end definitely.

  • seanguer?

    i too share your passionate

    distaste for the PT cruiser.

  • and i bet we aren't the only ones.

  • The pt cruiser is neon with a bubble slapped on top of it.Those cars are terrible, and look disgusting.

  • hi chck diz

  • the age of supercar isnt over, juz that many of them are already legend..

  • ha, the 650th episode is 6:50 mins long.

  • please creat new fld soundtrack

  • btw dont reply to this unless u have a valid point. Im not even 20 and i have a better understanding of whats going on then at least 90% of ppl who comment here.

  • Its nice we have better turbo technologies and such now as well, but they will stop making even fast forced induction cars. For christ's sake just a while ago they were talking about producing a 4cyl turbo Mustang. R we serious? Does anyone here know wat car held the top speed record prior to the XJ220 (quickly taken by the McL F1)? No?Thats right bc after thegovernment cut waydown on emissions post 1970era, therewere pussysports cars. Clarkson isone ofthe mostreliable sourcesout there.Y doubt?

  • Apparently no one over 30 has commented in the last 2 pages. Theres a lot of commenters in denial here. Ofcourse we are at the end of an era. Its a cycle. You ppl are blind. The corvette at one point in the 70s was detuned to 280hp. The supercar will go away for at least a decade and eventually come back. You cannot predict the future without knowing the past. As for new energy, what a croc. Its BS and propaganda, in 73 they said we'd run out of oil well b4 2000 and researched, but no change

  • end of the supercar era, eh?

Too bad Ferrari hasn't got the California and 458 coming out, too bad merc hasn't got the SLS, and too bad that four dour supercars like bugatti's newest pre-production car don't exist.

    Oh, wait...

  • Did you leave your card in an ATM Derick?

  • the PT Cruiser should just go away...

  • haha i know you just made someone on the FLD crew feel even more like an idiot with their atm card. GOOD JOB!

  • I think the super car is going to be more amazing ( and expensive) because of makers looking for new ways to make thier cars edgy. Clarkson car years had an episode on the dying of the super car and that was the mid 90s we have had the Veyron, Pagani, and arial atom after that, and countless sports cars to fit in all over the place.

  • Also... this season of Top Gear wasn't boring. Whoever said that needs to be kicked very hard in the junk... very soon.

    Bite your tongue sir.

  • Fuck no! The Supercar movement is not nearly to it's end. Sure, they might be making them a little more economical (which is to say it'll get 15 mpg v. 9 mpg) but I think cars ranging in 8-12 cylinders are still in our presence.

Also, Clarkson's "explosive" Scirocco advert was the best ad I've ever seen for a car... period.

  • Noooooooooo the age of the super car cannot be over, yet an eminence like Clarckson does make pretty good reports about cars, in this one I might have to go against God. The super car era will leave old standards to enter a new renaissance, the future has merely touched us, we have more to see yet in this world, and the super cars will become ultra cars!!!

  • There will be new types of super cars when we fine new source of energy. In other words, One type of super cars will die, but only when new type of super cars is there to replace them.

  • As long as there are rich people who want toys, there will be supercars. The era is indefinite.

  • What is the deal with the PT Cruiser.. it has the weirdest popularity ive ever seen. lol. Yea i have driven one.. its.. interior was decent.. but common. I just dont get it. Next too this is the Scion XB clubs, then the Ford Flex Cruises.

  • HELL NO its not over

  • why do people say that super car era is over??? i dont see any reason to think that!?!?!?!

THERE IS ALL WAYS GOING TO BE SOMETHING NEW!!!!

  • who said Top Gear show became boring??

no one said that , just you,

Everyone knows that Top Gear is the best car show ever made , and it will still the best car show ever made !!

  • Besides... Fastlane daily of course! lol

  • My bad, 296 bhp.

  • How many 400+ bhp cars are out there? It just seems like there are hundreds, maybe thousands of "super cars" out there.

It seems like it is becoming McSuperCars

I just want to putt around in a stock 360 bhp Porsche 996 and be happy. Maybe I'm getting old.

  • it will me over when there is a electric R8, 911,and lambo sports car.

  • super cars will never die

  • not even obama can kill them

  • The age of the super car is not over. These have always been low volume vehicles, and there are still enough rich people to afford them... see the waiting list for the new Ferrari California if you don't believe me. Even in a down economy, there's always someone out there making a ton of money. I just want to know one thing... who am I gonna have to F*%#* to get a Gallardo Spyder? :-D

  • Super cars/sports cars/muscle cars or what have you will always have the core following. Long after Top Gear and Fast Lane Daily have closed shop and the world is driving their green cars, I will still have my sports cars tucked away in the garage. Thats what happened in the 70s with the oil crisis. They just won't be part of pop culture like they are now.

  • becoming the Lamborghini test driver = the best god damn job you can ever have.

  • I can agree, however I believe to be in Jeremy Clarkson's postion is the best god damn job you can ever have :D

  • WOW, a RR Gallardo?? Nice!

  • No, how can it be the end of super cars? As long as there's people out there with lots of money, then there will always be people buying fast, flashy and powerful cars. I don't see what anything has to do with the end of buying super cars, it's easier to buy a ford ka these days 'economically' wise, but as long as people are earning money like all those entertainers, pop stars etc, then i doubt it's going to be the end of this 'era'.

  • You'd have to be a complete idiot to believe ANYTHING Clarkson says.

He said things like that years ago, the man simply has no clue what he's talking about, whether it be sportscars or the entire industry.

  • I think the super cars are not really at the end of an era for example look at a car as the tesla roadster or Jay leeno's eco jet those cars are fast but uses alternative fuel not gasoline the economic downturn will indeed affect them in some way but like Karnegis said companies will cut models and when the economy picks up expensive models will come back. but i dont think super cars are at an end.

  • Did he say 2WD lambo? Uhh really.... :(

  • Oh. ya. I'm your boy, Derr ick D, sayin', stfu. And keep on doing up your belt, on the side.

Just like baseball caps, and black people.

    man you pause a lot.

  • and your so bitchy your just trying to get comment of the week by being and asshole nice bro...

  • i lost my card like that 2

  • the end off sports cars...?!

hell no they will just all go electrical....!?

    i hope....^^

  • The super-car era, I feel, is coming to a close. The reason however is NOT the "economic down-turn", but rather the fact that nobody is getting creative with design. Just how many versions can one make of the Gallardo without it still being the idol of every Deutsch bag? The same goes for Ferrari and DEFINITELY PORSCHE!!!!!!

  • It personally feels like the age of supercars is running kind of stale. It, like many other things, is probably overdue for a make-over. The easiest guess is for supercars to become a little bit more environmentally responsible (ie. hybrid/electric). Supercars, however, will never truly disappear since people are competitive; people must have the bigger, the faster, the prettier ... toys.

  • Supercars will not die. During every economic downturn car companies cut models and some companies go out of business. When the economy picks up again expensive models come back and new companies build specialty cars to fill in the niche left behind. The great depression killed the Duisenberg and Im sure a few cars will go the way of the Dodo this economic downturn but the economy will eventually recover and so will supercars.

  • Keep it up!

    (^_^)

  • the age of supercar is pretty much over

  • valantino balboni what a lucky fucker.

  • where can one watch top gear??? anyone please? B\

  • the internet

  • I could argue about electric cars but other than that you are 100% right. No one will give up the sensation that fuel car will produce.

  • Well. The age might be over but supercars wil still be driven around, admired and they will still stay in our hearts. I mean look at the Ferrari Daytona, 40 years and still going strong.

The new Aston Vantage miught be the last proper supercar ever made. It is sad, but we will still remember.

  • I don't think the supercar era is ending, it's hibernating. It never ends, everyone dreams a zillion horsepower car with a loud engine that makes you ear bleed no matter what. But with the economy like this, they are just taking some cheaper route to produce all rounder cars for broader range of people. Helps them to survive. once the world economy recovers, see who will make a stunning car first.

Also there are still a lot of supercars being born, just from less known firms, heard of the Zenvo?

  • the super car will be around as long as there are engineers who make them.

  • DEATH TO THE CRUISER!!!

  • FLD i have a question how many lambos have been on fire with mr Valentino Balboni in them..

  • PT cruiser! yeet! btw, hey fld, why won't you never read my commmnents

  • I don't think the age of the supercar is dead. Maybe it is for gasoline supercars, but electric cars have just as much potential to slam you into your seat as a combustion engine. In the next ten years I guarantee there will be electric cars doing 4 seconds to 60mph or faster.

  • i dont think the world of supercars is gone but the age

of proper supercars built to touch the hearts of those who drive it is.now you see supercars are just a medium for companies like Audi to make a lot of money

  • Age of the supercar over?

Yeah it is over... it's over because there was just to many wannabe supercars. Now when it all stops and we all weather the storm, the good supercars would reemerge leaving wannabees out of the picture.

  • LOL how do i watch TopGear new episodes youtube crackdown police is out again

  • bittorrents

  • streetfire. net

  • It's hard to say da era of sport cars is over, coz you see more and more rich ppl coming out of nowhere. But there's gonna be more restrictive rules about fuel consumption in near future.

  • oh yeah btw ..they thought the age of the muscle car was over when catalytic converters were made mandatory and when the firebird was portrayed as a gas guzzling piece of trash..well, they were right, it is a gas guzzling piece of trash, but muscle cars are still around today, not just in the states. i saw a hemi cuda on the streets of rural switzerland.

  • man i thoiught the lambo was an orange f430 scuderia, coz of the white stripe

  • The era of supercars

    can't end

There will always be people who want to have a faster, more expensive and better looking car.

And no crisis can mess with that.

Here just few new models wich will come over the years:

Mercedes SLS AMG, The new McLaren, The new Z8 from BMW, Ferrari 458 italia, The new Bugatti, Koenigsegg 4-door model, the rebuilt Lagonda models, Rolls Royce 200ex, Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS, even the new Škoda Fabia RS... Nothing can end the supercar era.

  • The era of supercars it's not ending! Cars like MB SLR, Murcielago, DBS, DB9, etc, etc will not dissapear in the history books. People with money to buy them are still arround.

  • Top gear is never boring.

Edo did a nice job with the C class.

  • I don't believe it is the end of the super car era at all. I do believe though that it will go stagnant for a short amount of time to give way to new ways of motoring. WIth the global economic down turn, car companies are focusing their investments on cars that will make them money, with the selling cue of fuel economy. I think once the economy settles we will be in a new era of sports cars.

I am interested to see just what type of engines our future super cars will have.

  • why doesnt the pt cruiser just die omg die you ugly car

  • they wont kill it because some people have a fcked up taste in cars and buy it.

  • muscle is comming back? lmao god its so not...

  • seriously dumb to continue the PT

  • In response to what Clarkson said on the series finale: Yes, I do think we are coming to an era in supercars. In the past 10 or so years, many "common" car companies have dropped their top performing cars. Toyota lost the Supra, Honda the NSX, etc. It seems as if every commercial isn't talking about power and performance anymore, but fuel economy and emissions. In a few years, the only supercar competiton will be among the big shots, and our Hondas, Toyotas, Fords and Chevys will be econoboxes.

  • Toyota lost the Supra long time ago, the same happened with Honda.

Also supras and NSXes aren't supercars.

Ford had one supercar and the production ended years ago, and Chevrolet never had a supercar.

  • I understand that. I'm not simply talking about supercars, but the decline of performance automobiles across all automakers. The NSX was taken out of production only 4 years ago, the Supra 11. If you go back to Series 3 Episode 9, Richard was considering the NSX to be a supercar, saying it "wasn't a Ferrari." All I was saying in my comment was that we're losing performanced-based cars for economy-based cars.

  • Well i disagree with you

ok maybe the japanese companies don't have their iconic modelds anymore but

    "cheap" performance cars

we have them now more then ever

almost every model has its performance version

Ford with has RS and ST models Chrysler SRT models BMW M models, VW has the R models and the Scirocco is back...

so i wouldn't say that they are dying...

  • age of the supercar will never be over. just as long as there are people with money, there are people who want to show off. all those childhood dreams of owning a supercar will not diminish, thus, a market still remains for these cars.

  • muscle is coming back.

  • Jeebus, if y'all this excited for your 650th episode, you're really gonna get us ramped up for your 1,000th, I hope.

Congrats, FLD! Looking forward to more great stuff.

  • Thats hot

  • I honestly don't think giving Balboni his own car is giving him enough credit. He deserves a lot more, but what more can you give him?

  • If its the end of a era then its the beginning of the tuner era

  • Top gear is over according to the roumurs and you lot told us it's track could be sold for housing. But top gear was canceled years ago and will probs make a comeback with some more fannies.

  • Congratulations on your 650th episode...

  • ATM Machine huh? And what does the M in ATM stand for?

  • Oh don't be a douche

  • pt cruiser has got to be one of the ugliest cars and they still want to keep making it...wow

  • yes its over

    cause of hydrogen cars -_-

  • I dont think it would be the end of an era of the supercar, more like a "trimming and defining" such as in trying to find cheaper and/or better materials, and/or better designs to accomodate better performance and/or use less materials.

  • As long as men have balls and hairy chests, there will be mad gas guzzling V12s

  • The petrol engine's roar IS slowly fading away. I'm sure it will never be completely silenced, but its replacement seems inevitable. And yeah, as of right now, said replacement looks pretty boring - a slow, silent, hydrogen powered car. But what if the cars of the future are more exciting than ever? Innovation isn't predictable, so who knows? Whatever the future holds, I think we should just focus on enjoying the present. Just in case it really, really sucks and we all end up driving Clarities.

  • DID THE ZR1 RACE IN TOP GEAR SEASON 13

  • I think all these people who keep saying that top gear was bad this season should fuck off. This season was awesome and if you have a problem with it you should stop watching it.

  • Just wondering if you think the GTO will ever come back now that Pontiac is gone?

  • you just answered your own question.

how can the GTO come back if Pontiac is dead? that's like saying the 'Cuda should come back, but Plymouth is dead.

  • i dont like the pt looser

  • the "super" car will never die. it will just change form. no matter what is going on in the world. the super rich need there toys and the regular joe needs something awsome for that poster hanging in his room or basment he dreams abour having.

  • I really dont think us car enthusiasts will ever let the super car ever become a thing of the past. Even if we have to change to a different kind of fuel, there will always be the supercar, its in our human nature to want speed and performance.

It may be the end of an era of the kind of supercar we know, but not the end of supercars.

  • its an american thing - when you were in school they wanted you to get an "A" ... the average was "C" ... be above average ... be super

  • WOW WOW WOW Wait wait FLD why your show is not in HD, 650 episode really really, RUBBISH

  • Isnt the new top gear shows on Saturday.

  • The 650th episode, Who really cares? Let us know when you hit 1000. And you never did mention why the Aston Martin LMVR Vantage couldn't race in the Le Mans series. And no the age of the super car isn't over yet, Not so long as Lamborgini, and Ferrari continue to make 200 MPH+ super cars! I mean just look at that V12 Vantage he drove last night, it's clear proof that the super car isn't dying! It was the worst bombshell Top Gear has ever ended on! Sure it was a cool ending but it was too sad.

  • Amen to that

  • I think it is safe to say super cars will never elude us. That being said, we may be at the end of an era. I think future cars will be less savage, and most of all more quiet. And this is what upsets me the most. I love a car with a beautiful exhaust note. That being said, an exotic ultra fast car will always be around. Try looking into the Frazer-Nash Namir....speed and practicality when it comes to fuel economy. Speaking of which, it would be cool if you guys did a segment on this car.

  • Can someone please tell me what channel the new top gear is on. I got BBC America fromy local cable company (charter) and all they show are reruns of the show. Then Derick d says there was a new show last night. WTF .

  • Ask your local Cable company, i find that my favorite channels are never the same number twice when I am at hotels. I assume it is probably because they all have different services.

  • finalgear(dot)com

  • Hahahaha!! Mr. D, it aint over till BMW stops making M5's :) and that would be in....not ever!

  • na, super cars will always live on, but there will just be a lot less ppl buying them. But there will always be that one group of rich ppl who shit diamonds out there ass and and wipe with benjamins who will buy them!:)

  • Well as for the end of the supercar we are guaranteed at least three more cars: the V12 R8, the next Mclaren, and the Mercedes SLS. But he's probably right the end of the supercar will come soon and be overtaken be electric vehicles most likely.

  • This season of Top Gear has really singled out the stupid laws and government regulations that exist, not only in their UK, but in the whole world. I think Clarkson was trying trying to tell us something about the way next Top Gears season will be. I felt very sad watching that beautiful car and thinking it could be the last of its kind. I hope not. I hope that the true car-lovers can prevent an end to great cars and bring about another late 70s to 80s era of car building.

  • I think not going to shut down top gear properly coming with new idea to make show better.

  • age of the supercar over? tbh i think its just getting started with all the new things that they are making. btw can u get a fld tours of a lambo or a ferrari???

  • i don't think its the end of the supercar. its the end of how they are built. i believe that future supercars will exceed the amount of hp already seen in most supercars while maintaining really good mpg or just have a different powertrain like electric or hydrogen. thats atleast what i hope will happen

  • But someone really has to do something about that PT cruiser and put it down liek a sick dog.. im pretty sure the life expectancy for a owner is 6 min, since they sit there and realize what they bought then dig a meat cleaver into their forehead.

  • Hey, FLD hasn't been available in High Quality "HQ" mode.... :(

  • Even though you guys wont read this, i kidna want to say it anyway.

I dont believe the end of the supercar is even close. although it may seem like it due to the economic stability of companies, and al gore being a twat, in the long run i think man will strive to add that extra lunacy to the road, and continue to create those child fantasy cars we have hanging on our walls.

  • we read every comment!!

  • Hey Derick. Quick question.

Is this "car porn" going to be on a regular basis? I have to say I am enjoying the videos of the many spectacular cars that you offer in this segment. Thats one of the reasons I joined YouTube, for the cars. Anyways, keep up the great job, congrats on the 650th, and keep in mind that nothing beats real porn, except, maybe, car porn and FastLaneDaily.

  • The supercar is not dead, it will just get a steak through the heart and be buried in a pet cometary. Soon it will be resurrected and be more badarse than before.

Energy never dies, it just changes form.

  • ATM machine=Automated teller machine machine

  • VIN number=Vehicle Identification Number number

  • ATM machine - a bit of a tautology don't you think?

  • lol nice use of the word "tautology"

  • When top gear's james may did a review of hondas hydro electric car and ask jay leno what he thought of it, I believe jay leno hit it the nail on the head when he said that cars like the honda hydro power concept would be the saviour of the supercars sport cars and muscle cars, the same way the car saved the horses when they first came out . The cars we love can be used on the weekends and the cars we need would be used during the week compermise

  • The supercar will never die. The definition of the "supercar" will.

  • If Chrysler has sold 1.8 million "Personal Transport" Cruisers, why were they given up to Fiat. I mean, that should have been enough to keep them afloat right? Right??**

    **Sarcasm

  • how do u get bbc uk fld, im stuck with youtube and bbc america re runs

  • ya man same here.

  • finalgear(dot)com

  • on sketchy websites. or you can wait until it goes up on streetfire. good quality and fast loading but it doesn't go up til late sunday night.

  • The C63 will be a beast when even more companies dig their teeth in it, I love the car so much, I just got a custom exhaust made for my c63 and it sounds amazing, i cant wait for ECU + Headers :)

put my beast up to 600 horses :)

  • My opinion. Yes the "street driven race cars" era is ending. The trends show it. Lambo, Porche, Ferrari and Bugatti have all put developement into 4 door gt cars which have real creature comfort. The true Super car era is really just beginning. Manufactures like BMW, Benz, and Audi have been building... can do everything well and still be affordable true super cars (M, AMG, RS) for years. Now, the other big players are fighting for luxury performance superiority and starting a new era .

  • With the help of Obama's Administration, the era of anything thats fast is going to be over in the States. From super cars to super shity. Thank you Obama.

  • The era of the supercar will never end, as long as rich guys need ways to expand their ego remain. And as far as I'm concerned, there are plenty of them - and they're still getting bonuses from tax money.

  • the age of the supercar isn't over but the fat lady is walking onto the stage getting ready to sing, and by fat lady i mean greenpeace, and people that don't understand what cars should be. i will never be able to afford one but seeing things like the aston martin vantage v12 that finished off the lucky 13th season of top gear will give me hope, just maybe. that is if government regulations keep going as they are. thanks to those (insert word here) we will never see the V12 in north america, poo

  • its not to say that it isnt possible. some supercars will always be here, some will possibly die off, but, we are starting to see the musckle car era rebirth in a way. it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. great show derek.

  • I always love that new, "And now for today's headlines..." It just makes it funny, but, also, in a way, totally serious. It lends to the total awesome aura of FLD.

  • Motoring goes through phases. Like it did in the 70's when nothing but crap was being pushed by everybody. The idea of the supercar is an expression of individualism, no matter what life throws at you there will always be the desire and ambition to feel connected to a car in ways that only true drivers will ever know. The spirit of motoring perfection will always be searched for like the holy grail. It's just up to the manufacturers to accommodate for the times that we are currently living in.

  • RE: jeremy clarkson...

I think we'll see more bang for the buck car and alot more turbos available from all major manufactures to squeeze every horse power out of a small displacement engine. More people will benefit from affordable performance car then them putting millions on super cars that less then 1% of the people can afford.

  • YES!!!! finally that happened to someone other than me. Derek D, thank for ending my losing streak with those STUPID atm's. I have been to the bank about five times to beg for my card and now i will just remember this episode of FLD and laugh... and prolly remember my card.

  • Sure, emission standards will be tightened, fuel economy will rise, but do you think that the engineers at Ferrari, Lamborgini, Aston Martin, Chevy, Dodge, McLaren, and Mercedes arn't goning to find a way around those? Yeah, didn't think so.

  • And no, i dont think supercars are over, BUT I think we are at a head to what they will be. I see the majority of supercars going to a more useful, less "flamboyant" age, but only in the majority. There will always be lambos in my opinion, but more of the "audi R8" types in the future.

  • Car porn! Big W00T for car porn!

  • NO THE SUPERCAR WILL LIVE ON!

  • Supercars dead? not a chance. Between the very limited production and the price there will always be a market. What? you expect our sports or media stars to drive around in Buicks? Oh man, sorry Tiger, no harm intended.

  • wow..kill the PT already. enough is enough. Chrysler has gotten rid of the good cars, and kept the crap ones. maybe thats why they're failing as a car company...

  • ..please people stop being dumb. clarkson doesnt mean supercars will die because of the recession. first of all the recession doesnt effect your average lambo driver that much and we are already pulling out of the economic turmoil at least in europe. The reason supercars could die is for the enviromental factors. there are constant pressures on manufacturers to make there cars "greener". the govermant trys to tax them off the road aswell. The hate in cities you get is unreal

  • NOOOOO! not the PT Loser! Stop making awful cars. and i don't think the era of super cars is over as long as us men have midlife crisis and money in the pocket, there will be a supercar for us and great advice about the card man i liked that lol

  • this season of top gear was one of the better in the new format, in my opinion.

there were too much supercars produced in the last few years so that made us all used to see a new lamborghini or a ferrari in every episode.

the supercar is just back to normal, like in the 90s and early years of the new century when there were no koenigseggs and ascaris.

topgear has never tested a gemballa or a ruf and that's quite amazing to me. i guess the budget doesn't allow them to do all they wish for.

  • Lol. That's so hilarious.

Chrysler dumped some good cars, and left the worst one.

    PT Cruiser Fail.

  • I don't think the age of the super car is over because they did something similar before. On old top gear, Jeremy and some other guys(now on Fith Gear) got into a Aston and said the same thing. Then introduced some fuel sucking hogs. It's not over, we just simply arn't going to see to many outragouse ones anymore. I love Top Gear, to bad I have Bell Express view and can't watch it up here in Canada eh ;)
