  • This is not true. The exit polls, in West Virginia, indicated that 11% said that "race was an issue". In West Virginia, 11% of the population is African American. President Obama carried 98% of the African American vote in West Virginia.

Your twisted view of West Virginia is about as derogatory as it can get and your comment of Darwin is so revealing. We are smart enough to treat people with equality and don't fall for "If you don't vote Obama - you're racist"

    Chris Mathews said 11% btw

  • this is whats happenin in the US:

Black person votes for a black president: that's normal

White person votes for a white president: that's racist.

    WTF!!!!!

i think there is sometin wrong there....

  • I know it's an extreme idea that will never happen but people should have to take a test before they are allowed to vote. Sadly, the majority of americans are poorly educated and easily swayed by the propaganda of both parties. As a result you have a false democracy where Rep. & Dem.'s dont need to rely on their policy choices, instead it becomes a contest of who can create the best 'spin'. Only people who know/understand the issues should vote otherwise democracy is dangerous.

  • look at videos of Obama's supporters. they're morons, sounding all convictious and up-standing anti-racist citizens. but they can't list one policy, many not even sure if he was with Biden or Palin, only voting for him because he's black. Which makes you all prejudice against WHITES, and we're somehow all stupid and RACIST for not voting for someone who's now provably a fucking communist. you stupid fucks. LOL

  • Projection, much ?

  • ya don't even have to watch this video to know it's marxist, anti-white propaganda

i.e., the white only term "racist" is right in the description

  • @jakestep17 All other racial groups have united and come together except whites . "Remember the banana--when it left the bunch, it got skinned. Poor whites have become dispossessed in America.

  • Hmm this really looks tought. Like come on now this people aren't intelligent at all. "No No No", like come on at least vote for Barack Obama Tonight (10/4/08). lol.

  • if obama was muslim wouldn't he want a islamic theocracy and not a socialist or communist government? think about it what are the real terrorist fighting for?

  • I'm a resident of WV, born here. This scares me! Maybe the interviewers here had to "search" out these people, but probably not! I am a teacher, and I've heard from my educated coworkers that they too will be voting for McCain, though they voted for Hillary in the Primary. I think there are a lot...A LOT!!... of closet racists here in WV.

  • wv dont care cause 3/4 of them are on welfare or ssi and are stuped non working uneducated toothless fuks

  • Utterly Dispicible. Willing to set their state into economic doom just because the man's black. This is...I can't even...God, I hate West Virginia. I passed through the state during a trip to North Carolina. I swear, I didn't feel one bit comfortable during my stops in teh state. Everyone starin' at me, actin' like they'e never seen a black guy before. I think one of the clerks was gonna pull a gun on me when I went to a gas station for some gas & gum.

  • This is why whites in the south will always be poor and dumb . . . Wake up please . . . Vote your wallet not your feeling

  • Here's another lesson in logic. You can ASSUME that people who were NOT interviewed are NOT racist as equally as you can ASSUME they are. I mean according to you anybody who says they are not a racist is a liar. So if I ask you if you are a racist and you say no according to your "logic" you would be lying.

  • LOL at you teaching me lessons on logic. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. If you extrapolate the W.Virginan results with the exit polls, the issue of Obama's race jumps out. Obama won overwhelmingly in Oregon and MOntana, which has very similar demographics and the exit polls show that those people did not care as much about race as the redneck citizens of W.Virginians. The truth is that W.Virgina is a state full of low-rate, trailer trash, hillbillies.

  • I've shown you how you've failed to extrapolate the exit polls numerous times. But lets talk about Oregon and Montana. first of all how are they ever remotely similar to WV? Funny how you picked to states that supported Obama. Where can I get my Obama bumper stickers that say your campaign slogan "If you don't vote for Obama you're a racist." Funny thing about Oregon's exit poll of the 10% who said race was an issue 53% of them were for Obama. Hmmm who's the racist state now?

  • Those states are full of "working-class rural whites".Both of those have similar demographics, yet the results are vastly different. And the exit polls did not show a huge amount of people voting based strictly on race. You can get that bumper sticker the same place you got you education: apparently nowhere. So in your dumb mind you take the fact that only 10% of Oregonians voted based on race as racist, yet you fail to find the fact that 25% of West Virginians voted based on race racist?

    SMH.

    SMH

  • Apparently I can do that since as you stated before 25% equals 100%. It's easy to manipulate data now that the rules of basic math have changed. If 25% equals 100% I figure 10% would have to at least equal 85%. Plus you missed my point entirely the exit poll in Oregon said more people didn't vote for Hillary because she was white. By the way, if WV is the most racist state according to the exit polls, what was the second most racist state? Who did they beat out? I'm curious.

  • I am 100% sure that 85% percent of what you state is bullshit 25% of the time. Do you even know what you mean? You are making no sense at all. Maybe it takes a w.virginian to understand what the fuck you are talking about. I'm sorry but I don't speak stupid...english is my native tongue.

  • Yeah I didn't think you'd be able to comprehend those statistics. Seeing as you still think 25% is an overwhelming majority. By the way to answer my question the state that WV beat out was Arkansas. While WV did come as a surprise to some people, Arkansas was a no brainer, they were part of the confederacy and was home to the second most influential sectors of the KKK. Wow they were in second place and Obama campaigned there.

  • The reason Arkansas was in second place idiot is because Bill was governor there and the Clintons are still very popular there.

I don't think even you understood those statistics...like I said before, I don't speak stupid. You keep harping on the 25%, despite the fact I've explained that more than once. I think that you are 25% retarded.

  • That's why 17% of them said race was a factor in their voting. So does that make me retarded by an overwhelming majority? LOL "do anyone?" nice grammar there. Keep talking about the WV education system, while mispelling things, making mistakes in basic math, and using grammar like do anyone. It's hilarious.

  • Seriously this whole campaign strategy of "If you don't vote for Obama, you're a redneck racist" is quite pathetic, and sets the Civil Rights Movement back another 100 years.

  • Nobody's is saying that, but in the exit polls in W.Virginians and Kentucky an overwhelmingly majority of voters said that race was a factor in their voting. That set back America another 250 years.

I have no problem with a person not voting for Obama, I have a problem with people not voting for a candidate based on race and gender. It's the 21'st century and many Americans are stuck back in dark ages.

  • 25% is an overwhelming majority? Wow and they say we're uneducated. Which is a bigger fraction 1 in four, or three in four? I ask because I think your math might be backwards. And are you seriously going to say the entire state of WV made out of racist rednecks cause they voted for Clinton and then say nobody's saying that. Seriously count down two posts and see where you said exactly that!

  • Don't patronize me hillbilly. The 25% who said that they wouldn't vote for black man was only those who admitted it and who agreed to poll. Everybody knows that most people are too coward to admit their racism openly so they lie and and use excuse that "Obama is a muslim" in order not to vote for him. Don't get mad at me because your state got exposed for being mad ignorant. People that ignorant shouldn't even be allowed to vote.

  • You make it difficult not to patronize you when you make such ignorant statements. I'm not mad as much as amused by the amazing amount of double standards you use. You say I'm ignorant but you think 25% is an overwhelming majority. Look, I can say most Obama Supporters eat babies, it's just that they don't admit it in the exit polls. Baby eaters should not be allowed to vote.

  • Also couldn't Muslim be considered a race, you know since the Muslim issue wasn't brought up in the other questions? I also think you should make up your mind first you wanted to use the polls to show that WVians are racist, then when I discredited them you said they were unreliable, and wanted to use your amazing mind reading abilities. Why don't you just come out and say it. "Anybody who doesn't vote for Obama is a racist."

  • When did I say muslim was a race? It's well documented that Obama is not muslim, you w.virginians claim he is though...why is that? It's easier to say that you won't vote for a muslim then to say that you won't vote for a n*****.Of course polls regarding race are unrealible.MOst people won't openly admit that they are racist. With that said, the fact that 25% of W.Virginans openly admitted it along with fact that Obama lost overwhelmingly is a pretty good indication of W.Virginans opinion on race.

  • You didn't, I did. Cause it is. But it's also a religion, and the reason we might claim he is is because he went to a Muslim school. That is well documented in HIS book. If polls regarding race are unrealible why did you try to use them to support your claim? Really because Obama lost to white vote in almost every state. Check the other states exit polls. And actually it was only 25% of Hillary Voters polled. Not the entire state. You should really get hooked on phonics.

  • LOL if you believe Muslim is a race. Is that what they teach in W.Virginia. Saying Muslim is a race is like saying Christianity is a race. Arabs is the race and Islam is their religion. And you are straight up lying by saying that 25% of HIllary voters were polled. That doesn't even make sense.

Obama have been a member of the same church for 20 yrs. What is he...an undercover muslim operative who plans on converting all christians and enslaving whites? LOL at the stupidity of your claims.

  • Are you going to constantly begin all your posts with LOL? You sound like a 12 year old girl on AIM. Why not? People call Jews a race, by equating their religion to their geographical location. It makes sense when you can read a chart, sunshine. 1 in 4 Clinton voters means 1 out of every four people who voted for Clinton. Unfortunately I won't be able to draw you a picture, so I hope that suffices. 25% of Clinton voters does not equal 100% of WV. I still weep for your state's education system.

  • LOL at you bitching about me LOL'ing. I laugh a lot deal with it. People incorrectly call Jews a race, because anyone can convert to Judaism. YOu can convert to a race idiot. And you have the nerve to question my education. LOL. You are proving more and more that your state is infested with something besides inbreeds: idiots.

  • I have no problems with people not voting for Obama...hell I was a Huckabee supporter until he got exposed for being ignorant to foreign policy. I do have a problem with racist rednecks who vote based on race and gender. I would think that everyone would have a problem with that no matter who is the candidate. Your state is backwards and stuck in the dark ages.

  • Okay I still can't tell if youre a liar, dumb, delusional, or all three. You say you have no problem with people not voting for Obama as long as its not based on race, but whenever gives a reason for NOT voting for Obama other than race, you say they are only saying that cause they don't want to admit that they are racist. A statement that is laugh out loud funny, and at the same time horribly sad for the Obama campaign. I also find it interesting that question wasn't posed to Obama supporters.

  • AllPwrflSteve: The video above proves to me that people are not voting for Obama based on race. I'm not making this up. And the same question was asked of everyone who voted in all of the primaries.

I can't believe that you are disputing this when you are posting about a video with W.Virginians explicitly saying that they will never vote for Black man. And you call me delusional.

  • Wow if all it takes is a spliced video of one old woman saying she won't vote for Obama because he is black. You are more naive than I thought. I'm sorry I take that back. You are as naive as I thought. No it wasn't asked of everyone who voted in the primary only those who took the exit poll. It's getting hard to argue with you when you constantly contradict yourself. And again one racist in the entire state does not make the entire state racist.

  • YOu think I would be making this point if there were only one video? I've seen many in this election cycle, so whose being naive now? YOu are dumb because you are proving my point. I already stated that those who said race mattered were only the ones who took exit poll;that works in my favor because if you extrapolate that fact with the results of race, one can easily conclude that many more voted based on race.Again I reiterate that I only have problem with those who vote based solely on race.

  • Yeah I kinda do. Since you haven't been able to site any other video. If you only had problems with those who voted based solely on race, you A) Wouldn't condemn the whole state, and B) wouldn't call other issues for not voting for Obama tap-dancing around the fact that he is black. Good Lord how many times do I have to point that lie out to you? As I said before you can conclude that as easily as you can conclude Obama's lack of experience and refusal to campaign in WV was a factor.

  • You think I would be making a fuss if this was the only video showcasing your state's racism and stupdity? There are many other like this, I'm not that superficial. You must think I'm some brainwashed Obama supporter who think everyone who doesn't vote for Obama is racist. Wrong. I started off supporting Huckabee and it wasn't until he conceded to Mac that I started supporting Obama. Unlike peope from W.Virignia, I don't vote based on race.

  • Now you're just repeating yourself. So to answer your question, yes I do think you're superficial. Yes I do think you believe everyone who doesn't support Obama is a racist. Huckabee? The guy who supported the flying of the confederate flag? Wow there's a name to throw out there to support your claim of not being racist. Civil War's over we won. Tough luck. Of course this is the same guy who used the n word and redneck in the same argument.

  • What the fuck are you talking about. What do the Civil War have anything to do with anything. You think I support the confederate? I don't agree with everything the candidate I support does, but think about it do anyone? You lack logic and the clarity. Your post are nothing but redneck ramblings that just doens't make much sense. I don't blame you though...I blame the W.Virginia educational system.

  • This is why whites in the south will always be poor . . . the south will rise again . . . well keep waiting . . .

  • LOL at your logic. YOu should've got schooled in virginia. I said that the 25% were those that A. agreed to poll B. were willing to admit their racism. If you can't comprehend that, you are lost. I bet you don't get out the trailer park often.

And your baby eater analogy is just silly. At least the W.Virginia/hillbilly analogy has some truth in it (proof is this very video).

Your state is full of backwoods, trailer trash, gun-toting, racist inbreds.

  • Yes you said that after I asked you if 1/4 was bigger than 1/2 to which you earlier claimed it was. When I went to school I learned that 25% was smaller than 51% of course I went to a school in West Virginia, so apparently that's wrong. I just can't comprehend that if I split an apple into fourths and take away one of those fourths. I have taken away "an overwhelming majority" of that apple.

  • Over 90% of blacks are voting for Obama because he's black.

    Who's really racist here?

  • AresXIV

Blacks have always voted for white politicians, so what if they vote for Obama. Whites are overwhelmingly voting for McCain...are they racist too.

  • Its nice to see you will take the black racist vote and not complain. Hillary won Ky b/c she is more moderate, not b/c Ky is racist. KY is the battle ground for the Civil War.

  • I do find it funny that after hillary lost the N.C vote she went strait to west virginia and won by a large margin, and whats funny is barack is fighting for the working class people like many of the folks in west virginia

  • The people in this video are indeed racists, you notice none of them can even come up with a legit reason to not vote for Obama. It's just...I don't know...he's...he's...different.

  • This disguests me. I am from Kentucky myself, and I consider myself intelligent. I did vote for Hillary. So what? Just because I voted for Hillary doesn't make me racist, just as those who vote for Obama cannot be considered sexist just because they didn't vote for Hillary. After the Kentucky primary, many people started talking about how racist Kentucky and West Virginia are because Hillary won by such large margins. Hillary won because she is the better candidate, not because she's white.

  • Thank God I'am not American! Holy crap!!!

  • And 90% of the AAs voting for Obama aren't racist? Don't use the "Bill Clinton won 83% of the AA vote" bull. That was against a REPUBLICAN. You're comparing apples to oranges.

  • Oh fucking hell. So there are some people in West Virginia who won't vote for a black man.

I guess this proves that Obama repels idiocy and draws brilliance. Is that the point?

Ron Paul would destroy him on the merits.

  • Where is the racism among these people? One person - the elderly woman Ashley - said she wouldn't vote for a black person. The rest just merely said they wouldn't vote for Obama. Is that illegal? They may have a whole host of reasons for not voting for him. None of them said it was his race. It is you who are assuming racism is behind it, it is you who has prejudged their attitudes, it is you who is guilty of precisely the type of prejudice that Pat is rightly decrying.

  • i cant stand, pat bucanhan hes a divider.

  • you can't generalize a whole state from the few people you interviewed here. I'm an Obama supporter and the media tends to try and rationalize every vote in a group which is a mistake because even people with the same race or background can think INDIVIDUALLY. The sad thing is that people would rather jump parties than vote for their own best interests. The clip at 5:20-5:30 is troubling because that unexplained reluctance to Obama if he wins is a resistance that makes no sense.

  • I'm a liberal and I agree these VW voters are racist and dancing around that fact.

What I dont agree with is the idea that Buchanan needs to just shut up. I think he probably does hold some paleo-conservative viewpoints but on the other hand he's been a critic of Bush I have found myself agreeing with more often than not.

  • Pat is a racist. His position about race has nothing to do with Bush. I would not call Bush a racist. Although there are plenty of other tags I would gladly hang on him.

Go back through Pat's writings and I think it becomes fairly well documented.

  • Absolutely Pat is a racist. I will not go that far with Bush. His administration alone should shed some light on why I will not go that far.

  • @Obamacitizens

    3:55

"Are you ready to have a black man as president"

    "NO, NO, NO!"

    lol

  • Pullease. You're on crack. Why don't you extend the same criticism to the 90% of blacks who voted for Obama in South Carolina. Retard.

  • or maybe the 83% of black who votes for Gore and Bill Clinton...You have never heard black people say they would NEVER vote for a white person

  • so what, 90% of blacks voted for Kerry too? Blacks tend to vote overwhelmingly for the candidate they like. Blacks have always voted for white politicians. These Appalachia hill-billy rednecks are so brazen to go on national tv and admit that they would never vote for a nigger. This country is retarded. Sometimes I wish everyone was born blind, but I'm sure people would still find a reason to discriminate against voices are something.

Anyone who defends west virginia and kentucky voters are lame.

  • Your statement is a: lame and b: ingorant. You know what? I lived in West Virginia for many years and I refuse to vote for the guy if he gets the nomination. And I'm NOT WHITE!!! BTW: it's not "..voices are something" it's OR something. I guess this "hill-billy" redneck knows proper english. Get over it, move on, don't victimize your self anymore.

  • daydrear AKA Opie:

LOL at the irony of you calling me out for my sarcastic spelling of hill-billy, while mispelling ignorant (ingorant). I believe that you lived in West Virginia. A: when did I call you white? and B: how am I victimizing myself? I'm not running for president. America is the victim of stupidiy.

For future references,if you are going to call out someone on their spelling, come correct with yours. I don't hold that against you because you probably was educated in West Virginia.

  • LOL your comment here is so funny. IF everyone was born blind, and you watched the "real"news video, you wouldn't find anything wrong with these people's reasons, with the exception of Ashley, for not voting for Obama. One woman doesn't want him in office cause he might be Muslim, well we are at war with a Muslim country. Obama supporters don't need to play the race card when they are dealing out the whole deck. Funny how the part where the two black voters call everyone in WV a redneck was cut.

  • AllpwrflSteve: That is my point exactly. You say Obama "might" be Muslim, but he is not nor has he ever been. And even if he was, so what of it? My point is that given the fact that it has been proven that he is not a muslim, people like you still use that as an excuse not to vote for him. That is a form of willful ignorance rednecks use as an excuse to disguise their racism.

And W.Virgians are rednecks. Even Dick Cheney had to admit that.

  • So what of it? If this was wW2 would elect a president with tie to the Nazi party? Obama said he will stand with the Muslim people IN HIS OWN BOOK! And don't assume my reason for not voting for him, my reasons include his lack of experience, and his refusal to campaign in my state. By the way I find it hilarious that you can make a blanket statement like all WVians are rednecks while complaining about racism!

  • So you believe that the president should lock up all american muslims because they are muslims?that sounds like facism to me.And on w.virginia I've seen many videos when people from that state openly stated their racism.I'm tired of people tapdancing over the reason why Obama couldn't win states with"blue collar working class white votes" in Appalachia when he won same demographic in states such as Wisconsin, Montana, and Oregon. The reason why he didn't win W.Virginia and Kentucky is obvious.

  • Wow that's exactly what I said, you're reading comprehension skills are amazing. What I asked was if this was WW2 would you put a Nazi in charge of our military? And are sure these "many" videos aren't just the same video with different titles? And again the fact that Hillary has 14 years more experience than he has is tap dancing around the issue is laughable. Barrack lost other states, is that because they're racist too.

  • Mr. bronze, I voted for Obama myself, but I think he made a mistake to not go to West Virginia and Kentucky. Yes, there are voters out there who vote based on race, rather than positions or beliefs of the candidates. There's nothing you could do for that. But perhaps many in Kentucky and west Virginia feel insulted that he never came to campaign there, and as such do not undertand him. But if he had gone there, he could have won more support, and more people would have got to know him.

  • EXACTLY! EX-ACT-LY! This whole WV and KY smear campaign did nothing for him but cause him to lose my vote in the general election. I'm voting Libertarian cause I hate McCain too and I don't want to be drafted.

  • There were many people in California who chose to go for Hillary as well. She carried my state. But nobody in the Democratic Party dares call California racist because first, it would be a blatant lie, and second, California is the Democratic stronghold, so the party better respect us. That being said, I think that accusations of racism are thrown out way to quickly for my comfort, and we need to chill on that...

So you're going for Barr, AllpwrflSteve??

  • More than likely to me change has nothing to do with your race or gender. I think real change needs to come from getting away from this two party system and trying something new.

  • I would like to see more third parties gain influence. Perhaps they should try their luck at the state level for a couple of years before they go national...

  • Fuck WV

  • Women that will vote against thier own civil liberties than vote for a black man. WOW!

  • I fucking hate West Virginia......

    Dumbass Racists..........

  • Hillary Clinton did her work well. History will not be kind to the Clintons.

  • History will definitely not be kind to the Clintons anymore. Say and do anything at all cost to win an election. My entire family use to love Bill Clinton, but all of that have changed thanks to Hillary Clinton and her negative Republican tactics against a member of her own family, lie her way into the white house, injecting her gender when it suites her, injecting race when it suites her and sending the wrong message to our next generation by breaking rules set by her own party. Damaged brand!

  • It's sad, but true. Make no mistake, there will be books written about this whole primary and Hillary Clinton will not be happy with what legacy she has created here. However, she has an opportunity to undo much of the damage she has wrought. Will she take that opportunity? We shall see...

  • We shall see my friend.
