I think the tire itsself is causing you grief on the one side. Try switching tracks from one side to the other and see if the problem doesnt follow.

@kawibbyrule I was thinking about it but you have to have two the same trans to do that and when you shift it , that would be a different problem to get them in the same gear at the same time

I wanna see more of this thing. I love halftracks. I'm thinking if you ran small pieces of cable across the inside of the tracks to pull the sides, they might stay on and the wieght of the wheels pressing against them would draw the sides in more maing it less reliant in those track stays. You make me want to build on myself.

You could add 'sidewalls' to your ex-rubber-tire tread, made out of chain. Poke a bolt through the tread every 6 inch or so along both edges, and bolt on short chains that hook up to one long loop. You could get these by splitting a tire chain in half..

Thats a great idea man. I put an old set of aluminum slots with cooper 60's on the back of mine. To high in the back so I am going to extend the front wheels and do some sheet metal work to make it look right.

@weirdstuffanimation7 prob not. you won't need it if wheels don't spin in the tire. I was thinking last night after a few comments that I might just get rid of the tire and put a chain track around the tires. Kind of like a big skidder

that is the coolest thing on a lawn mower me and my friends all have mudders too and i think i wil make a tracked one like yours out of a dynamark i have the only thing is, is that i dont want to burn out the belt.

Awesome man glad to see it works finnally.

The car altinator is a good idea and hooking it to the spot the old mower was would work great. The best altinators to use is the GM or Delco from the 60-80s they have a simple wirie system and make it easy hook up. Keep up the great videos.

Oh By the way your second rear axle pulley could be used to power the dump all you need is a 90 degree gear box sprokets and chain and you would all set.

quick sugestion weld another pully on to the tractor rear end and put a belt to the second rear end
