  • Could you please let me know which way you configured your MIDI settings on both SH201 and EXS1 for them to recognize the tempo etc. I have a same setup but for some reason SH201 has no recognition on tempo :\ I am not sure what to do. thank you.

  • it sounds like pump up the jam at the end

  • very good la set listen mis sonido con emx y krk very good

  • Very nice track, can you tell me a little bit more about sync between ESX and Roland? Is it possible to loop baseline from synth like microkorg xl on ESX while playing live, or do I need something like KP3 on top of that just to record loops?

  • NICE NICE NICE !!! record plz !!! and give link THX

  • Nice man! Sounds really good. I've got an electribex and a sh-201 too and I think they can make great thinghs togheter.. peace

  • Simplemente increíble!!! Además del uso que le da a sus juguetes, la canción es excelente!!! Si tiene myspace, publíquelo. Muy, pero muy buena canción!!!

  • Sounds mint,can i download the mp3 version anywhere?

  • im sorry but this recording is not mine but from a friend and i dont have the mp3 version

  • can i use the pattern like the tr 808 or tr 909 which means selecting the instrument and the pattern????

  • sound moves wiv cam lol...

    I like this tune.Good Stuff

  • i think if you took the Setup Mode of the alesis micron (tons of multiple patterns etc) the sound engine of the nord, but with lexicon effects, Korg would finally start getting its ass kicked in the keyboard wars

  • Korg makes the tightest stuff all round, if you were forced to choose only a single brand it would be Korg. But they really have their own spirit and strengths each. I run a Korg EMX-1 and love the MMT synth engine within, but there's just some things where the Roland SH-201 (which i also have) kicks its ass in... Especially the more mellow sounds, and in particular the sinewave waveform are much clearer and better on the Roland synth engine...

Very nice track and vid! *****

  • i wanted the sh201 for a while but i don't think it has FM :(

  • Well, the synth engine in the SH-201 isnt as varied as the Korg MMT engine. But personally i think the things it does, it does that better than most. I suppose you have to see it as a bit specialised synth, since it cant really compete on options and variation anymore. But i feel it really can compete on sheer quality.

Also the SH-201 is very nice to work with, since you mostly have a button or knob for each function. That's something where none of the competition can keep up.

  • hmm i think the nord interface is pretty well laid out... its kinda brilliant how they give you the least amount of knobs possible but you still have any parameter you want to tweak at the touch of your fingertips

  • But where i come from atleast, it's more than double the cost of the SH-201... I'm generally comparing to stuff like Korg R3/MK XL, DSI Mopho and Evolver desktop modules, Waldorf Blofeld, which are pretty much in the same price range if you count in a cheap midiboard for the desktop modules. The Clavia Nord synth(s) are just out of that league... And for a synth, the Korg is pretty much my last choice of the bunch, but first when anything other than synth.

  • sh 201 + esx1 my setup too great vid

  • at least it should sound a bit less house with a nice trance bass drum, but its my taste.nice machines.

  • nice tunes .. where is the chord sound made ? in the roland 201 ?

  • soo good!!

  • Oh, and by the way, it's an incredibly annoying camera man you've got there...

  • Amazingly cool! One of the best tracks I've heard made on the ESX-1! But I don't quite understand what you're doing with the SH-201.

    Great!

  • This is very good and easy to understand what you're doing...

    Sounds great, and funky too!

  • i love it!!!!

i come to hear this every day:)

  • Gaffel1987..Question. I have the Korg ESX-1 & I'm lookin 2 get that other keyboard I saw you playin with, but Im wondering:what beat(s) did you use on the ESX and/or did you download any samples into the Korg? If so, what did you use? & also, what did you with the Keyboard to use along with the Korg Electribe to make different sounds? Im very curious as to what you did to do what it is that you did. I have drum machines, korg electribe kybrd, yamaha MM6, a Kaossilator & mini pad 2 make my beats.

  • i liike! keep it up!

  • Hello Homeboy, A friend of mine made this movie and asked me to put it on Youtube. I don't have any knowledge of the equipment that has been used.

    I'm sorry I can't give you advice.

    have a nice day

  • pretty damn good....

  • good work, thank's at the MIDI protocol,

to advise you, like next step try to write your part in a software that be to able to write midi note/sequence track, and then send this message on your roland synth and sx via midi, set like Midi slave,

    thenk from italy

  • By far the best Korg ESX samply i heard on youtube!!!!

  • Very nice!

  • Great bass indeed :D
