@tool26 You should start with EVOLUTION. One of my personal faves and has a totally epic 70's Arena Rock feel throughout the entire album. Then check out DEPARTURE which is also another great album by JOURNEY. But my biggest favorite album by Journey is ESCAPE (which this song comes off of.) you won't regret getting those albums if you like your rock epic, melodic and awesome!
@tool26 ALL OF THEM. haha. I'm telling you, Greatest Hits, although Great(hence the name) is a pretty bad representation of the band. AND THATS COMING FROM A HUUUUGE JOURNEY FAN. If ur looking for range, only get things with Steve Perry. He is THE VOICE of Journey. Everything before is ok, and everything after....is unoriginal cuz its worse singers posing style from Steve Perry. Look into Infinity, Evolution, Escape, Frontiers, Raised on Radio, and Trial By Fire. NOTHING AFTER PERRY. SERIOUSLY.
[brazilian guy, forgive my bad english] heeey man! that's a playalong? (drumless track?) pleaaase could you send for me by email? your drums a realy good sound! it's fantastic! and you have good skills! you've made a nice version of this song: you did some things different... and that's all realy good! that's it: keep on runnin' and keep on drummin'
I'm pretty surprised. With all these Journey covers you don't have Don't Stop Believin'. It would cool if you could do a cover of that. I think everyone here would like to see that.
You seriously unerestimate him! Even Phil Collins thinks he is a great drummer! He was innovative and played what suited the music! And that comes from not only a Beatlesfan, but a fan of many old Progbands and other technical music like jazz and fusion. Just look at my Gentle Giant video!
If Ringo didn't have a catchy name or was with the most famous band, he would just be drummer. I guarantee you could name other drummers that are greater than him. Phil Collins only liked him because he saw the beatles when he was a child from his window while they were filming "a hard days night"
Ah yes more drums....I always try to get a mix that does not loose the spirit of the song, and has a good balance between myself and the original track,,,,I wasn't actually trying for this one it was recorded because I forgot the tape machine was running.
:) it was a very solid song! looked like rite fun to play to! sometimes i see drummers tryin to get too complex with stuff but i think that drummin only what goes and is needed works so good. just like this. it didnt need and crazy fills or ott beats! u kept it smooth and sweeet and it looked like u knew just what u wer doin! really enjoyed watchin that! (y)

The best Journey albums, Infinity, Evolution, Departure, Captured. There are about 5 worthwile songs on Escape and about 3 on Frontiers.
