I really don't think he's made anything better than The White Stripes. I will miss them. They were fun and hard rock. They had a lot of variety for a band of two people.
Of the unnamed people, I'd say Nikolai Fraiture of The Strokes is pretty overlooked. I really love his band's Nickel Eye "Time of the assassins" album, where he sings and plays guitar.
John Deacon from Queen gets some love, but, imho, not enough.
Alex Lifeson. Brian Jones. Tim Commerford. Pat Wilson. Eric Wilson. Ben Sheppard. Michael Anthony. Brad Wilk. Davey Faragher. Brian Bell. John Fishman. Bud Gaugh. I never thought of Entwistle as overlooked
definitely have to agree with Spike, Jonesy doesn't get half of the credit he deserves. The guy plays like every instrument known to man and helped write a lot of the best Zeppelin songs. although it is true that he didn't really want to be too well known in the first place...
Ringo Starr. The only songs I remember him singing are Octopus's Garden,Yellow Submarine and Sgt.Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band/A Little Help Form My Friends. He Just sang A Little Help From My Friends. He's a great drummer with a big a head a creepy mustache.
A few things George forgot to mention. This time around, Jack White is on drums! And they already have their single on itunes, you can hear it on their website before you buy. Their album named "Horehound" and is set to release this June. Jack White is notorious for conspicuously short studio sessions.
malcolm young from ac/dc he is the genius behind all of the riffs and crap and is basically the unofficial manager and is the genius behindn the band and makes all teh final decisions :)
Pretty much every member of Foo Fighters that isn't Dave Grohl, especially Taylor Hawkins, seriously the dude's an amazing drummer, I mean he's no Kieth Moon, but he's still really good!
I say the lead guitarist for the Foo Fighters. He's so over looked that I don't even know his name. And I like the Foo Fighters. Taylor' not that overlooked...
Hmm...Pat Smear(?) was lead on the first album I think and than Franz Stahl until shortly after There Is Nothing Left to Lose came out, since then, Chris Shiflett has been lead : P
on the VERY first album (self titled) Dave Grohl played every instrument and overdubbed them. But I meant Chris Shiflett. But yeah I'm pretty sure Pat Smear was at one time their lead guitarist. How many albums has Shiflett done with them?
I say Bill Ward. He is fucking overlooked man. Though Mr. Butler is overlooked when it comes to mainstream fame and recognition, any good bassist loves him. Bill however, never gets mentioned although i think he deserves it, he found a place in between the guitar and base and drummed perfectly in between them every time, and his raw drum sound is so unique and it sounds amazing.
John Paul Jones. He added an extra dimension to Zeppelin with extraordinary bass-playing, keyboards and mandolin. And he wrote Black Dog and No Quarter for christ sake!
why do people gotta over look the bass player...jesus....I'd say another guy would be Tay Zamora from alien ant farm taht guy is insane and no one talks about him. Also Larry Lalonde from primus. Just because in that situation The Bass Player was so insanely good the guitar player for once is over looked in some ways.
Izzy Stradlin, he put so much more into Guns N' Roses then a lot more people think. He really crafted songs briliantly and wrote some of the bands best songs.
I really don't think he's made anything better than The White Stripes. I will miss them. They were fun and hard rock. They had a lot of variety for a band of two people.

I was just thinking about this today.
I would have to go with John Paul Jones and George Harrison.
John Paul Jones is so overlooked that i actually feel bad for him.
"I am glad they finally remembered my phone number" John Paul Jones.
That is True Bassist and Drummers are always over looked, That's why i am going to find a bassist with a gimmick for my band.
