This is high-fashion, hun. Would you rather have full-bodied women walk THIS runway? This isn't your typical mall fashion shows. If you don't want thin, porcelain-skinned models, then just stick with Victoria's Secret where there's an abundance of boobs and tan.
OK maybe you are right about the high-fashiion..but THIS is not a woman...It's like watching my little sister..Do you remember 90's supermodels..? They're doing high-fashion too..I really like Natasha Poly but she is so skinny...And i don't rant i just said my opinion..What's your problem anyway?
when i included "end of rant", that was regarding my post not yours.
we may have different opinions of what makes a woman. personally, i don't think "curves" are a requirement. for several years i lived in south korea and japan, where most woman are skinny. and i am an asian woman myself. so i don't really find these fashion models' built that disturbing.
yes. the 90's supermodels were beautiful and absolutely in a league of their own, but i prefer my models skinny.
Asian women are lithe and slender, but are also about an entire FOOT shorter than these models. Stella started OUT with the more full figured models in her graduation collection, and though she has vowed to use healthier women, she has never followed suit with this vow (Alber, too, does this). Also, "thismusicismy...", the Victoria's Secret models are, for the most part, the same runway models seen here. I think you should do more research, "hun". ; )
I like the contrast between child-like playfulness (the colour that looks like lego, the fuzzy felt background), and grown up sexiness (short hems, transparency, overall sex appeal, the twisted fuzzy felt background). I like the era she cites - the 80's! there's something which strikes a nostalgic chord with someone who's about 20 - 30, now.
I wish she did men's - I'd wear a men's version of Raquel's look at 3:45 with joy (and pants).
In retrospect, the soundtrack is kind if ironic. Given the events which took place during and after this show, it makes the message of The Verbz "Shopaholic" a little funnier. "I'm a shopaholic/ I'm a shopaholic/ I'm a shopaholic" [and] "I've got nothing in my wallet" put it all on credit, and you helped crash the world economies. Ah well... "Money don't get everything it's true/ But what it don't get I can't use/ I want money". Hope you get the joke.
Stella is quite simply a genius! I love this collection; the colours, the fittings, the simplicity! She knows how to dress a woman! She's without a doubt my favourite designer!
Actually, the Tic Toc song is by Busy Signal - his video is on youtube. and shopaholic is by verse, also on you tube. I love the soundtrack for hershow, hope to track down all teh song ssoon. will keep people updated.
i am in love! the ethereal and gauzy yet somehow remarkably edgy and contemporary pieces are amazing. the nineties references slay me - minimalism, androgyny...uber short skorts, is she mad? ahhhhh the not-so-wispy little wine dress with the chiffon bodice - amazing fabrication! ahhh i want so much of this stuff...ahhh the off-the-shoulder lbd is stunning...the quintessential nineties dress.
I agree with you on everything! I think Stella's jumpers are insane - I love them! Spring is her stronger season I think. This collection reminds me of her Spring/Summer 2005 collection, the one that made me a fan.
The ultra-mini black dresses (particularly the one on Lara Stone) remind me of one the character Kelly Bundy wore on an eppisode of Married With Children. That's the first thing that came to mind!
This is a better collection from Stella. Love the sand-nudes, and the light blues. The sweater dress and the sheer spangled body suits are fantastic! Love the Lady Saw track, too!

She's gonna be future reference for the modeling world.
Changing the subject...
I loved Stella's collection. Less is more, and she knows it. Spring is really her best season...
Not to mention the soundtrack. Gosh, i never saw something like that in years!
"I'm a shopaholic, i'm a shopaholic, i'm a shopaholic and i'm outta control"
Amazing!
Stella really made one of the best shows of the season, and, why not, of the whole history of fashion. Way to go!
