One of the best eurovision songs ever. It has been covered many times in many langauges, was a hit for Maribelle in English in several countries, was covered by Cilla Black - and is the song that made me want to learn to speak Dutch. And now I do! Thankyou, Maribelle!

Gorgeous melody but the performance lacked passion & conviction, she must have been nervous as she kind of just gets through it. Not helped by inane grinning & bad outfit. Beautiful orchestration though.

Je moet herinneren dat het was 1984, dan kijkt de jurk niet zo vreselijk als nu. En ja, maribelle heeft een naturlijk "lachje", zo kijkt maar haar mond. Zou ze plastiekkirugie heeft gehad voor de eurovisie meen je?

Ik denk zij een heel speciaal stem heeft, en het is een van de beste eurovisie-liedjes ooit. Proef voor dit is ook dat haar engelse versie een hit was in een paar landen, en dat deze lied steeds so populair is na alle deze jaren.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful song. First time I've seen this in 25 years, but it often comes to mind. One of the best songs in Eurovision history. Why it only finished 13th is beyond me. Should have won by a mile.

Ik denk.......dat Maribelle op de avond nogal...nepperig overkwam. Constant dat plastic lachje. En dan met gebogen rug in dat vre-se-lij-ke jurkje. Ze had wat zelfverzekerder over moeten komen.
