even though blackout was the first transformer to transform on the screen, it wasn't shot good. for example It would of been better if the marines were not in the way, It should of showed blackout stand up, and maybe said something. it could of been a memorable CGI scene, but sadly it was shot poorly. A good CGI scene is where the T-rex from jurassic park walked out its cage and roared.

I would have to nitpick and say that they are not cars, they are transformers that make themselves look like cars so people wont figure out that they are robots. This means they won't actually have the same mechanical pieces of a car. Now you would have to wonder how that many mechanical pieces could fit in that car shape.........

Well yeah, they DO fly don't forget so why would they transform to a stand still. They need to keep moving so transform partly in mid-air, makes perfect sense.

My favorite transformations of the movie are the ones by Star Scream between 4:55 and 5:05.

Although, all of the transformations are good. I notice Optimus takes a little longer than everyone else. I think he needs to be oiled.
