Hmm weird, well my windows movie maker doesnt shut itself up after 6 pictures. But it does happens when I do lots of movie clips and loads of trasitions. Just save every now and then and you should be fine. The first time it happened to me i was like 'wtf!!' cause i spent ages on making a video and movie maker closed itself down.
