Thanks esi44! There are quite a lot of people doing home hemo in the US and Australia. It really offers better dialysis and better outcomes. How did you find this video btw?
I was actually searching to buy drain bags for peritoneal dialysis & somehow got side tracked onto life expectancy of people on dialysis and then a blog with your videos. Then I searched you on Youtube. I first thought you were going to show how to do general PD dialysis. I was shocked to see that you were doing Hemo at home! I had to hold my breath while you were injecting yourself! Could you not get a fistula to avoid injecting every time? If that is what it is used for.
Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing this video..it will help and motivate others and of course dis-spell the myths and fears that dialysis is dangerous. Nicley done Kamal! Interesting setup...
Absolutely amazing Kamal! Not everyone can do this. Hats off to you, your perseverance and for educating others :)
I never knew you could do this at home. Amazing.

I do have a fistula and use it for dialysis. The big 'lump' that you see on my arm in the videos is the fistula.

I am also researching to be able to explain dialysis to grade 4 kids in school.
Best regards and prayers for ease of your life and continuous good health.
