Without Bruce Thomas...Elvis fell a few notches! Bruce and Graham Maby are why i play a P-bass! Good Job ! but lets not forget Pescott Niles, He also kicked some serious ass during that same era
you're the best of all these cover vids. you're a sound genius too! great playing. i just subscribed to your profile. do you teach music? are these t-i strings and what type of amp is this? sorry for all the questions..
Bruce is probably one of m favorite bass players ever. you seriously should do a few more Elvis songs.
(the aforementioned song "party girl" would be awesome, or "watch your step", or if you are acquainted with the album"imperial bedroom": you might try "Shabby doll")
think i am going to have throw flats on my C64JG... great bass lines on those early attractions albums, pretty sure he played a P tho! either way sounds killer on the V63. think if i had to pick only one bass line from this year's model or armed forces it'd be party girl...
Fair enough! RICs are way more fun IMO anyway and you've got a Jazz for the Fender-y stuff. Love your gear but more importantly, your playing! Cheers!
Amazing tone you're getting out of your Rick. Of course the way you play the Ric has a lot to do with it.
Excellent job on the tune too.

this sends me into fits. you're shit hot mate.
anyone else think the outro bit is very beatlesque? the whole thing like, not just the bass, although that of course is particularly mccartney-esque

Damn that has about the best bass tone, it sounds just like Paul McCartney's
Using flatwounds? I just recorded Black & White World with the cheap Fender ones on my P bass (up on my channel)

That was awesome as hell, but why not use open scales? It may save you from tendonitis down the road! =)
