@InfernoLynx Well, I actually have had it for about 3 months. I got that virus sometime between when i got AntiMalware GO and Windows Recovery. Btw, I am not in the computer with the virus. I took it to my uncle to get it fixed. He said that reinstalling Windows 7 will help. But i am not sure, and i don't want to lose my files.
my desktop just got the antimalware go thing last week and I'm actually doing everything you said to do in the vid as I'm typing (on my laptop)
I saw your scan said it found what looked like 115 infected files but you had antivira va. how many infected files should I expect to see once the scan is done for antimalware go?
@WiiCubeFilms I don't know, these rogues usually update themselves so the amount of infections may change, the problem with this video however, is that the computer was infected with several other rogues in the past.
@InfernoLynx same with my desktop. when the scan finished last night it found 16 infected files but some of them were from the third rogue it got. Antimalware Go is actually the fifth rogue this computer got but I think I removed it because it hasn't shown up yet. however as I typed this my antivirus just found something.
Trojan.Win32.FakeAV.atuw
is that one of the files of the rogue or is that a different one?
i clicked download now on the malware page and nothing happens. This virus crap has been screwing with my computer for days and is making me really angry. Please help, the download will not start.
Would you recommend Spyware Doctor as a good, temporary fix for this problem? I'll try Malware Bytes later, but I'm just looking for something I can transfer easily on a flash drive from this computer to my laptop. (I have McAfee, but it's not working on this problem, for some reason.)
When my boyfriend got this problem on his computer malwarebytes couldn't detect any problems either until we restored the internet functions by using safemode with networking.
We are scanning right now and will beat this bastard virus (my boyfriend wrote the last part)
There seems to be a problem on the download (2:22) for me, whenever I click "Download Now", it still takes me back to the same page and no download starts, do i have to buy the program then?
I started downloading that malwarebytes cnet thing but is got stuck halfway through so I pressed cancel I went to download it again but it said that it couldn't show the webpage and I can't get on the Internet at all now - what do I do - please help me!!!!!
Inferno thank u very much :) I followed your steps on the video and I get rid of this nasty fake antivira,I was surfing the web and next thing I see is this stupid program running my pc and I dont know where it came from??
Could you please tell me what should I do to prevent myself from getting this again?
And also would you recommend the free AVG Antivirus or Avast??
I swear Antivira Av is getting smarter and smarter I dowloaded Rkill off of my PSP and I had to re get it like 5 times because that thing would delete it. Even when it is named iexplore.exe to try and fool that bug.
@Blackdrake1 IT IS GETTING SMARTER! it learned how to turn off my computer! i tried to turn off the proxy, and it worked the first time, but when i tried it again, it just shut off the computer! and this happened over and over and over! so freakin annoying!
Ok, so alls you really have to do is go into safemode with networking and then perform a full scan with Malwarebytes? I was infected, did a quick scan, and then was once again infected. Will the full scan work completely this time around? :(
hey there, i tried using malwarebytes but it reinstalls itself everyday at the same time. I used spyware doctor but it doesn't let me click anything. Do you have any tips?
Inferno...Need your help..I downloaded malwarebytes and ran it in safe mode. It only removed a few items in a full system scan. When I completed the scan and went restarted nothing changed. Its still there... What do I do?
None of the programs worked after I restarted the computer it was still there!!!!! HELP please I don't want to loose all the files on the computer :((
I did everything on this video, three times and it always comes back after reboot malwarebytes picks it up and removes it but after i restart it comes right back any help
I need help, i have it on my laptop and I cannot download the software. I click on "Download Now" And it just reloads the page. I am in the safe mode and I can't download it. Help please.
What if i go into safe mode and when i run malwarebytes, my computer shuts off? Now my computer shuts off 3 seconds into booting up, i cant even turn it on
Hello. I have that Google redirect virus thing. If I download this Malwarebytes AntiMalware, can it remove it? Just a simple question.
TheGn2 9 months ago
@TheGn2 It should.
InfernoLynx 9 months ago
@InfernoLynx It didn't get removed. :( Even Norton can't detect this virus. Are there any other options?
TheGn2 8 months ago
@TheGn2 scan with mbam again, if that doesn't work, try using spyware doctor, and that rogue is still on your PC after a month?
