@zeldazoneman With Popo holding the bat, smash-throw the bat up or down into the sandbag. Nana will grab the sandbag. Do Squall Hammer (fwd+b) while mashing on the B button as rapidly as possible. If your timing is right, the sandbag will freeze in midair.

Question: I know how to glitch the bag, however, how do you let it go? I know you have to regrab to release the bag from being frozen, but do you desynch and make nana grab and hit with popo, if thats the case do you have to get lucky for a nana f-throw? Also wondering, on the world record glitches; how do they (as in the people who play) rack up so much damage, and how do they release the bag? It sounds like a throw, but I find that hard to believe.

@RubixClan First, to do all the damage (for wr strat), smashthrow the bat up towards the sandbag with z. If you do it fast enough, Nana should catch the bat automatically, so you can throw it again with z, then catch again with Popo. So the pattern is something like z,z,a, z,z,a, etc. with a slight pause between the second z and a.

To release the bag: if Nana has the bat, face towards the bag, and smashdthrow. If Popo has the bat, face towards the bag, smashdthrow(Nana grab)+catch+smashdthrow.

Seems like good practice... I'm still trying to get 6k with Ganondorf, but I can never get the catch in the air thing. But, that's a different video. Is there any way to make this glitch work more often?

The glitch is just a matter of pressing the B button on the right frame. When I do Squall Hammer with Popo, I just mash on the B button as fast as I can and hope I press the B button on the correct frame. Some days I nail it almost every time, but other days, I can't get it to work at all...

How did you freeze it so fast? It usually takes me like almost 5 seconds to do the glitch and u can do it in 2 seconds.

What I do is grab the bat, turn around and face away from the sandbag, then repeatedly smash-throw the bat down into the sandbag, then tap A to pick it up again.

At the very end, you have to have Nana or Popo grab or hold the sandbag Just face towards it and throw the bat up or down, and the other IC that isn't holding the bat will grab onto the bag. Then either swing or smash-throw the bat down if you have enough damage.

Does that make sense?

If you're facing away from the sandbag, do bt-downs. If she grabs the sandbag while you're doing bt-downs, then you're standing too close to it.

The only thing I can suggest is roll-dodging around your opponent and have Nana do a shield grab, then do forward+B. That's a lot easier said than done though.

No, I'm NTSC. The glitch was fixed in the PAL version, so you won't be able to do it.

can u plz giv me full detail of how to get the sandbag in the ground. I can only do it about 1 out of 50 times. I wanted to tell you a video u could eatch to get faster bat throws. Its the past-track-limit video. he gets over 450%

You mean how to freeze it? You have to start mashing B on just the right frame. It's just trial and error.

I know how high it's possible to get with the Ice Climbers. If I thought about doing bat throws back in my HRC prime, I'd probably have over 10k with them by now...

The only thing I can think of is that you might be standing a tiny bit too close to the sandbag.

Sometimes when I did this strat, Nana would grab the bag for no apparent reason, even if I already did three or four successful bt-downs. I'm not sure why this happens. There's probably some trick to get her to stop doing it, but I wouldn't know what. I just kept doing the strat again and again until I got it to work.

When you do the freeze glitch and popo is doing hammer squall, nana is doing nothing. So before popo's hammer squall, do smash up+A to make nana do an upsmash. Then have popo throw the bat upwards while nana is still in lag from the usmash.

Yhea, that much I can do. Then I have Popo grab the bat again, and do another bt-up. Then Nana is supposed to grab the bat automatically afterwards, right? That's what I do, except Nana doesn't grabs the bag instead of the bat half of the time. I think I just have to do it faster or something.

You mean the hybrid bat drops?

First do a bat drop AFA with Popo while Nana's still on the ground. Then hold down on the joystick (don't let go!) and jump/catch the bat (Nana will do ADA as you catch). Release the joystick to it's neutral position and press Z to release the bat, then do an AFA with Popo. If you time it right, the ADA and bat will hit the bag simultaneously, then Popo's AFA will hit the bag and prevent it from moving.

Does that make sense?
