People are so stupid sometimes, Federer and Nadal are both amazing players, I admit I prefer Federer but to prefer one of these two players is not a reason to say the other (Nadal) is a "dirt rat" or (Federer) an "over old man".

Just look at this video, the two of them are great and they look like they're having fun playing against each other (they smile a lot =D).

first of all, your english is way off. i gathered by the few intelligible words you strung together that you don't like nadal. well tough luck. a lot of ppl do, including feds and most of the other atp players.

also those "high loopy balls" are him putting more spin on his ball. do you know that rafa hits his balls, lol, with 500 more revolutions than anyone else? maybe that does indeed frustrate his opponents, but that IS tennis regardless.

To finish what im saying, its not that federer has gotten worse its that people r getting better and adpting to his game, and it doesnt help him getting older. to finish this off just look at the way he played at say, the AO form this year and 2 years ago and look at the difference, he is a better all around player than he was then and his game has not changed at all.

Fed could lose to Nadal and still dominate the rest. Problem is, now others have his number too: Murray, Nole. They beat him regularly. He's certainly not the Fed of 2005-06. He looked like Sampras x2 back then. But now Rafa, who dominates on Clay, where Pete never won a GS, and is starting to extend his domination to other surfaces is making his bid for Greatest ever... If he keeps dominating for the next 4 years or so he should be.

but fed of 2004-2006 would beat nadal of today because he went to the volley more and hit more aggressive shots.

if fed starts playing like he did before and manages to be at that same level i think he has a chance of beating nadal on every surface exept clay of course.

He's not a great tennis player? Since the point of the game is to WIN, I believe the best is the one who wins the most. That makes Rafa the best of his generation.

Did you see last years Wimbledon final? Rafa has more than legs. He can place some amazing shots with great finesse and beat the master of grass in his own turf (and many other great players to get to all those finals). Roger is still better of course, but Rafa is just starting.

so what if he won wimbledon when fed was in a major form funk. plenty of people beat him in 2008, nadal would have had no chance if fed played half as good as he did in 06 or 07. at one point he lost 5 games in a row. and he still only lost 9-7 in the 5th. and btw hes only beaten him on grass ONCE (barely). whereas federer has beaten nadal in 2 clay finals, even bageled him once. and its about winning against everybody not just having a good record against one guy.

i dont get y u guys are arguing about this look i dont get y people keep on saying federer is not playing as good as he was in 06/07. Look again. Almost everything about federers game is better his backhand, his sereve, drop shot. the only thing that has changed is that he has gotten older and the game has changed. The courts r slower, people r hittin the ball hader, and with more spin and look how long he has stayed at the top with out an injury. I mean with nadals game he is prone to injury.

I am going to AGREE with that. For me (and for Laver as well in his AO 2008 interview) No one can be called the greatest of the open era. Every era is different, tech is different, surfaces, opponent too in feds case (roddick, safin and hewitt arent legends you know). One can only be called best of his era and that i think Fed is. As was laver, borg, mcenroe, lendl, sampras, agassi, may be nadal too.

Actually, Fed was defeated by Nadal on the first time they met. Fed was THE MIGHTY FED then, so Nadal could beat him. Fed and Nadal were equal when TMF was still there. I find it hard to say it but TMF is gone... He's 6-13 against Nadal. We don't see those near-impossible shots that can only be called "Federer moments" anymore. He even lost his on-court coolness (HE BROKE HIS RACKET FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE HE WAS A KID). This thing used to be a rivalry. Right now, it looks like a domination...
