I have a master's degree, am on food stamps, and have an eviction hearing Monday. If I don't find a job soon, I will be homeless. I'm also partially disabled, which makes things even harder.
To me, one major solution to America's problems is to look within ourselves for solutions & stop relying on the federal government to solve our individual problems. If the federal government eliminated income taxes, we could stimulate our local economies with the extra money. The income tax is just paying for the massive borrowing Congress does every year. I have an idea: let's stop borrowing. Let's pull out of Iraq & Afghanistan & protect our borders. That would save billions of dollars.

demcad, unfortunately, I think you are correct. As another unfortunate fact, I don't believe it is a "black" factor for foodstamps. Go to your local DSS and just observe.
Everything that is happening is intentional. There is a very powerful elite class of people that is bent on controlling us and everything that happens in the world.
There is though an "intellectual revolution" brewing. For the 1st time since Andrew Carnegie, people from that elite class are exposing the corruption and giving regular people the means to empower themselves.

I heard about this 40million on Food Stamps now... I just had a close family member tell me 2days prior that they went on food stamps, even though they didn't like it...
By the way you wont have a intellectual revolution when the president tries to cover himself and his constituents with private military. When businesses find its cheaper to keep food in there own country and the US isnt making food for ourselves due to Governments shutting down businesses peticularly Food and Factory based business. You will see. People will be on a Police and State murder spree. We are calling this a whole new Civil War. By 2012 They will try to get another Obama in office.
They wont live that long. You wont be able to do with when bread is 12 dollars and a orange is 22 dollars. Then you will eventually go to a Groccery store and find NO FOOD on shelves. Ok look at these videos first.
Well done, Demcad. One thing people can do that is peaceful and still has a chance of making an effective statement is to refuse to pay the Fed. income tax. Get informed.
I just went to a local job fair for a ski resort and as expected there were hundreds within an hour of opening and I am sure there will be thousands there. I have seen people of all different ages including the elderly applying to this ski resort as well as many kids from my school. This is a very serious situation and I believe it is going to get worse or at least stay this bad for many years to come.
This is just the tip of the ice berg. This govr...has made everybody in this country POOR! They will try and take away any weapon we have pretty soon to PROTECT THEMSELVES!
I have been working for 30 years and I never seen it this bad. I sent out 1,000 resumes and not one reply. Obama is not doing much about it except extending UI benefits. Where is the leadership?
22.2% unemployed total. Two thirds of age 16-24 unemployed. Many from college including ivy league are unemployed. Eventually every one who isn't rich now will be on some form of welfare due to economic collapse. Don't count on a government life line to last for much longer after it does collapse the government will go.
Yes a lot of youth are already on food stamps,, but they like it, they get fed so they don't care, that's the truth.........its a way to get them to want more government care, just like the videos are so violent so they don't care about hurting others...so its just a way to brainwash them for the future events..
I'm with you on hoping it will be peaceful, but it seems those in power are so blind I am afraid it might just take a slap up side the head to wake 'em up.
Spoken well. We definitely need a revolution and of course peaceful by all means. However, we should keep in mind that we might have to take it to the next level..let's hope not.
I've said this ten years ago and everyone laughed it off, but... I think the private sector can no longer afford to support the public sector. This is clearly evident at a local level, but it may take longer to reach the federal level, but it eventually will. Things will certainly get interesting.
I'm the example that people are talking about as far as the "invisible" numbers. I "Had" a job where they told me flat out they would hire me as a contractor instead of a full employee because that was the only way they could hire me. As a contractor they don't have to pay me benefits; as a full employee they would. It was either a job without benefits or no job at all. Well, after 9 months they had to cut people and I was one of them. My "lay off" will not count in the unemployment numbers!
Just get rid of the Federal Reserve America would be prosperous again, but since you have a brainwash nation that's seem to worship celebrities and are distracted by the propaganda tube and who don't hold these idiot they elect in office accountable for their actions, what will remain of America will be a dictatorship not made for the sovereign of its people.
We'll ya'll voted for this 'Hope & Change" with your eyes and not with your gut or your head. As they say, if the deal sounds to good to be true, then it usually is".
The "real" numbers are even worse than what the media is saying especially with the 16 to 18 and even college students and it's not getting better.
i all honesty i would hope for a peaceful revolution. but truth be told human nature is to solve things with violence so there will be violence. there will be hungry people that will turn to violence to get food from those who have it and there will always be looters, thieves, and thugs. so it is not only smart to be prepared for a violent revolution, but it will soon be necessary to be prepared.
I half agree with Gerald Celente, I do believe there will be a peaceful revolution, but I don't think it will be 100% peaceful.
The civil right movement was an example of how peaceful revolution can be done. But during the civil right movement, people were not starving though, so that's something to consider.
When people get desperate, things get bad!
I would prefer a peaceful revolution, but I'm not holding my breath.
I think a violent revoltution is inevitable. It takes one spark to create a chain reaction that ends up in bloodshed. Unfortinately Demcad a peaceful revoltution will not happen, because humans by nature are violent. Im a peaceful man at heart and I always keep out of violence, but with the other 90% of Americans are going to be outraged when they're homeless and they cant eat/live. Prepare and stock up for the storm
I've been paying attention to my little neck of the woods and this area has been preparing for cuts in government services. There are two major manufacturing facilities that are hiring people right now, although only "temps", which is common, even in good times. Prices have increased across the board. Will it get worse or stay "depressed" for a long time. I think this area is looking at staying depressed.
My friends....This is what happened to Argentina in 2001. Just look up the collapse of Argentina 2001 here on YouTube. Demcad nailed it on this video. That's how I feel also.
ncy10101 has been hitting the obama fool-aide, or is totally incapable of rational thought and critical thinking. Get a clue, get out of your diapers and put your big boy pants on. Welcome to reality.
@nyc10101 .... hahaha.... Obama has been sent from heaven huh? haha... Is there anyway we can return him?
He sure has not fixed any mess now has he? No, in fact he has made it by far worse with his policies which have nothing to do with fixing a broken economy. Heck his trillions in spending would of been better if he just set everyone a $10,000 check. But no, why? Because he is not trying to fix the economy but push his socialist agenda.
Keep believing in your messiah. Hopefully one day you will wake up and I hope it's quick. You're wasting time when you should be preparing. He's about to rock your little world and you won't know what hit ya!
You are excluding many things. For example law enforcement will never ignore new laws, they are simply happy to get their paycheck and go home for the night. They arent going to ignore whatever mandates they have to abide by. And yes I do think you are overreacting.
Around this time last year the American Taxpayer was convinced by their own goverment officials that if the bailout of certain insitututions didn't occur, then there would be a systemic collapse of the US economy.
Imagine the US as a company. What if the countries you mentioned above (all who own US Treasuries by the way) along with a few more like Japan, Germany, Brazil, India, etc... try to convince their taxpayers that the US needs to be bailed out by them.
Would the leaders of these nations be willing to put the taxpayers of those countries on the line for the outstanding US debt rather than having the US default? US leaders did this so why wouldn't they do the same? They could say if the #1 Service Based economy collapses (US), then all Industrial and Agricultural Based economies will systemically collapse as well. How much faster would a world goverment take hold with the threat of the #1 economy in the world collapsing?
The Revolution will come when one day we wake up to find the dollar is completely worthless. These assholes need to stop the printing presses now! Kicking the problem down the road will only make matters worse.
Peaceful revolution is possible but it ain't gonna happen because 90%+ of humans are dumb idiots. Peaceful revolution is never submitting your freedom to banks & government in the first place. A revolution is a lifestyle- being informed, voting for men/women of action, staying 100% out of debt, supporting local community, not watching corporate tv. But most people are lazy, ignorant & greedy- prime victims of theft. And by the time they realize they are broke, it's too late & they go crazy.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Still with those statistics huh? LOL! Lemme guess. You wouldn't happen to be in that brilliant 10% now would you? LOL! Most people are lazy, ignorant and greedy? There you go with your warped sense of reality again. Things are so dreary in YOUR world. Glad I don't live there.
The Gov keeps on assuring us that the crisis is over but it is just getting started. Unemployment will continue to rise and I expect it will be over 12 to 13% by March 2010. Social unrest will soon be happening in a lot of States also. Stock up on water and canned goods because there will be empty shelves at the stores. This Country will never get back to normal unless we start manufacturilng durable goods again in the US
and about your content for this vid...if and when our middle class goes, so goes the republic...a bit of history and c-sense will tell you this...i will recommend again..a posting by Charles Hughes Smith - Of Two Minds (.com) called "when belief in the system fails".....it is a cogent treatment of what i see as tthe coming malaise...
as long as they keep unemployment going out they will be fine. And if a group of people started to get restless. A fancy air conditioned bus shows up and promises to take anyone who wants a place to stay a meal a shower. Strait to the fema camp sucker.
if you have kids and your homeless on food stamps, A kid ? you have welfare thats 300 dollars. Buy a tent ,blanket pillows. Theres your shelter. Clothes you can get from salvation army 4 free. The gov is helpin you is just that americans are lazy.
certainly, this is one of your very best vids, in my opinion. (moreover, i'm glad you seem past the problems you described earlier in terms of personal affairs--tho public problems we face are much as you've been focused upon, to good effect.)
I think people should opt out of this debt based system. We should prepare for the development of alternative currencies, secret lives, a black market barter system, etc... Good vid Reggie!
dvd20gk ,good looking out of the box ,and look at this. The government is supposed to be us so thats us helping us, after all taxes are us and the govrnment is taxes .
Eat Rice Cakes+ water for the month, you will survive. Be thankful the government even offers assistance. Other countries dont even have any program like ours. You just have to manage your stuff wisely given your situation. You can still have the necessities. Dont expect any more money for food stamps. There are a lot of poor people around the world who would love to be an unemployed American. People are just too spoiled and complain.
dvd: So you think that because people are complaining that means we should just let America continue on its path to destruction? Your logic doesn't really work.
I agree. It's like trying to "peacefully" walk out of prison. Good luck. There won't be a peaceful revolution b/c the elite won't allow it. They will never stop trying to seal us up. I personally don't want a violent revolution. But just like in the playground. The bully will only back off after you break his nose.
I don't see how violence at some point is avoidable. The people cannot rise and take this country back entirely solely with their votes in my opinion.
A world-wide global crisis is going to hit.. it will involve the continuing staged economic crises and resulting social and political aftermaths and adjustments. And certainly include Martial Laws and the opening of Fema and other detainee camps. And involve chaos, violent protests, riots, and revolutions. While others being docile, indifferent or of fear acquiesce to the elites' new system and government. I think and believe it will also involve the Rapture and its aftermath effects.
I am planning on starting a commune of like-minded people who work for the greater cause, without money. Also, I like the Martin Luther King Jr. comment about non-violent resistance, DEMCAD. This is the intelligent way of forcing our concerns. I hope that others get the same idea and push the government to actually listen to the people. Guys like Jefferson and Lincoln seem to be swept under the carpet. This has got to change. People need to reread or read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
I dont know how the hell it can be peacefull to tell you the truth. how many more millions of families can survive indefinately on food stamps and welfare until we have mass civil unrest, food riots IE DLM etc etc.
I dont think we are that far from the straw that will break the preverbial camels back.
who benefits from negative outlook on economy, geopoltical issues, - those selling gold, silver, foreign stocks, ammo, guns, food, water? are we being programmed to believe the absolute worse to shift our consumer transactions to the items above? wealth is it ever lost or merely transferred? folks will have to get creative to survive, barter, start a business, how many folks obtained wealth during the 1930's 40's?
Yo Demcad, when i was a kid back in utah, my mom had to apply for welfare but fortunately we were only on aid for 1 year,...Tracy Chapman was rite about 'Talkin 'bout a revolution' but hope its like Gandhi's nonviolence!*****
If true, this projection about the number of Americans who will be in need of food stamps is almost unimaginably sad. "The wealthiest nation in the world" we were once called. Now - it doesn't matter how many digitized units of currency the leadership says are circulating around, a population half of whose members are near starvation without public assistance at some point cannot be said to be prosperous, nor potentially even free.
I think as long as they keep the unemployment program going, the violence will be curbed. But if people just don't have a source o f income for even food..........I can't see anyone quitely starving to death without doing something desperite.
My family went through all this in the late seventies, early 80's. We were on food stamps, WIC (woman infant child), we got our free cheese from Reagan....stagflation from Carter...inflation was 15%, unemployment 10%+, interest rates were 18%! There wasn't any violence...just pain.
"I agree you'll not recognize America in two years",......=P isn't that too radical, too extreme,....i mean the greatest and richest country in the world!
Peaceful revolution...? Well would be great but...I don't think the guys at the top will understand they have to go or go to prison happily. They will not go down easilly and the preparations they make (fema camps, army in the US etc.) seems a good evidence of that to me.
And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
Cooler heads prevail, DEMCAD. I definitely don't want to see violence. We need to start talking with our votes - vote in truely good people into office, people who care. Unfortunately, the party is going to be over soon and things could get ugly. I think more and more that Lindsey Williams is right when he says we will not recognize this country in 2 years.
Demcad unfortunatley true revolution can only be done violently, becuase the powers that be will use violence to protect their positions. They will use the police, military and private armies if necessary. Please look at Latin America and you will see the tactics that were used by the elites. They were very violent, its just that our elites have not been so threatend before like this moment were in so we feel they wont, but they can and they will.
I believe it was Plato who said the fascist will never allow the proletariat to prosecute them for their crimes, they will put the people to death before they let themselves be dragged into court...Im paraphrasing of course.......
I have trouble seeing how you avoid violence. Too many people are dependent on government and corporates for their well-being. I'm trying to figure out how to disconnect as much of my life from any dependency on these entities so I can show family, friends and neighbors later on. Hopefully this would minimize the degree of violence around me, but I still want to be out of the sight and mind of the government or the mob if TSHTF.
It will get bad when the fed tells all these ppl their pensions are gone-cops -teachers-state workers--What happens when ppls wealth for retirement has been stolen--Sure they are fine while drawing a paycheck, but when the collapes comes and all those armed citizens figure out they have been robbed and the thieves moved to dubai or out of the country-lol its going to be a mad house-best chance of survival-small communities-Like in the series Jericho-better have the means to defend,or be a victim.
The unfair society isn't new. Its been like that for a while. It's just that we have become used to it.
But now the gap between rich and poor have been rising quite fast in the latest years. It was just a question of time before "the coming revolution" will begin.
I think that the more violent it will be in the first phase of the coming revolution, the quicker the more "intelligent phase" will occur.
were not let in on what might or will happen "soon" unless you believe in prophecy, then things are going to get very intense, does a country set up internment camps before going into a big war?
dont sell the guns, demcad, buy more shells because were you are going ,if you dont stay then you will need them.lets cut this black shit out you are talking more and more on the subject.16 mil,are out of work and thay are not all black, and that 90% black getting on food stamps is bull.and if the goverment falls then no foodstamps.and thats why alot of people will do what the goverment wants because thay cant live with out the help of the goverment.
First it WILL be (very) violence, and it will be like that for a while. People in general isnt smarter than that. But at the same time you cant blame people that dont have that much left to lose.
Then it will be a revolution "against the rich", to make the society more fair to everyone. Kind of intellectual revolution.
But unfortunatelly it will be quite ruff before the "second part" begins. Maybe years.
Where I live, in Florida, unemployment is 11%. It feel hopeless for many. I had an amazing job and got laid off. I think after the holidays things will get nasty. It's awful and it feels hopeles.
It cant feel that hopeless when they are offering you 2 years of unemployment benefits and we all know they will extend it even more beyond that. Sounds like the dream situation that the other 90 percent would love to have.
Let's think how the Cornell study could project those numbers. "Project" is future, but the basis was "interviewing" 18K people about the past-to-present.
Over 90% of blacks. Let's take that one. How big is your family, Reggie? Have 90% of your family, including cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents. How close are you to 90%.
Another way is to ask: % of grand parents, % of parents, % of current children generation. Plot those three point on the mean year. Does the graph point to 90% in 10 years?
Did you do the thought experiment I proposed? What was the result?
Caution: did you examine the details (protocol) of the "study?" Did you read the proposal for the grant to determine whether the "study" was designed to "fulfill" a predetermine conclusion? (Is it propaganda?)
Do you know what is meant by Lenin's phrase: useful idiot?
Careful: you are projecting a violent future "revolution." That's what city black agitators (Malcolm X, H Rap Brown) promised 40 years ago. Did it come true?
the chances of a peaceful revolution is highly unlikely, especially America due to racial segregation, sexism, differences between the elite and the working class, bureacracy, there are just to many individuals out there who cant settle their differences because of their quest to prove to others that "they're right"
Statistics are little more than manipulation devices. I'ma bit more optimistic than you. I happen to think your predictions won't even come close until AFTER the next election. Things are going to turn around briefly before they bottom out.
Also, I'm gonna stop try to lay off the criticisms Reginald. I hope you try to be more conscious of how you present your views of black people. There's too many people working over time to disparage us. They don't need any help.
And lets not forget the whites who rely on those few blacks to feel better about themselves. Must really suck when you can't make it so you become an expert on identifying worse case scenarios to shift focus. Doesn't it Skyding?
talk out their ass. How many people here can say they've been robbed or assaulted by a black person or minority... Let the fabrications begin. That night you spent in the County and got too cozy with Bubba don't count Skyding.
I think people are going to rebel in small ways like growing gardens, bartering and other unofficial types of trade that excludes the tax man. The overtaxed economy will move partly underground to defend itself. I also think we could see people doubling up in homes and apartments (even more than now). That kind of arrangement scares the wealthy since a lot of their realestate will empty out and drive rents down.
We'll see cheap independent handymen undercut small businesses they once worked at.
"Pretty soon the two parties will have to choose between the rich or the working the poor"
HA HA they have chosen the rich sad to say.
UI "insurance" and the welfare state is just another form of control, not unlike sticking a nipple in a crying baby's mouth
When you consciously ship jobs out of the country and have nothing to replace them with this is what happens. Easy, sign here credit, and payday / title loans have ruined this nation
Not do what the government says? Like what? We all fear being jailed by them if we do rebel...like not pay taxes....If I do that they take what I have and I get jailed at the point of a gun that they monopolize. Buying gold and silver is the only answer..take their power way...by getting rid of their fake money and exchanging it for silver or gold.
Many have questioned authority for years with no results. Violence is not a solution but after the violence those who are not dead will listen. good luck
In 1983 the unemployment rate in Flint was 25%.Twice i have arrived in Flint in brand new cars...twice i have left on a greyhound bus. Better think before you go back there Reginald. We can have a revolution...its called voting them out. If the american people wont do that then who is to blame?
"The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise power from behind the scenes."
~ Felix Frankfurter U.S. Supreme Court Justice
"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
~ Henry Ford
"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority."
Unfortunately I think there some bad stuff coming. The big cities will see the worst violence but some will spill out to the less populated areas. I hate to see it but don't see how it won't happen. If it's a dollar collapse we will get marshall law...but not matter we are going to see the SHTF.....so get your beans, bullets and band-aids now while you can.
@wakeupbreathing no offence to you wakeup, but depends what demographic yr' in, i mean there IS bad stuff happening now for some people. Believe me, i was once down in the gutter, how low can a man go? the difference is the inability to get out of the gutter and the AMOUNT of people in the gutter. Violence is already huge, especially on a global scale. anyhow peace.
didnt mean to imply bad stuff hasnt already happened to many...laidoff, lost their homes, etc. I was saying that the BAD stuff is coming for all of us....hyper-inflation, dollar collapse, marshall law...I dont know whats going to happen...but I can feel it....million guns a month sold, shortage of ammo, emergency food selling big for those that see the writing on the wall....believe me its the last thing I want to see happen in the US. But better to hope for the best prepare for the worst...
latewire... the socialists are cowards who've never worked a day of man's work in their lives.. plus.. they don't believe in guns. WE have all the guns! LOL

redline1189 2 years ago
i all honesty i would hope for a peaceful revolution. but truth be told human nature is to solve things with violence so there will be violence. there will be hungry people that will turn to violence to get food from those who have it and there will always be looters, thieves, and thugs. so it is not only smart to be prepared for a violent revolution, but it will soon be necessary to be prepared.
TheSurvivor1992 2 years ago

The Copenhagen Treaty outlines the plan for a Globalized world which shares resources among large corporations.
The Treaty clearly states full implementation by 2012.

Around this time last year the American Taxpayer was convinced by their own goverment officials that if the bailout of certain insitututions didn't occur, then there would be a systemic collapse of the US economy.
Imagine the US as a company. What if the countries you mentioned above (all who own US Treasuries by the way) along with a few more like Japan, Germany, Brazil, India, etc... try to convince their taxpayers that the US needs to be bailed out by them.
high5flyer 2 years ago
Would the leaders of these nations be willing to put the taxpayers of those countries on the line for the outstanding US debt rather than having the US default? US leaders did this so why wouldn't they do the same? They could say if the #1 Service Based economy collapses (US), then all Industrial and Agricultural Based economies will systemically collapse as well. How much faster would a world goverment take hold with the threat of the #1 economy in the world collapsing?

Peaceful revolution is possible but it ain't gonna happen because 90%+ of humans are dumb idiots. Peaceful revolution is never submitting your freedom to banks & government in the first place. A revolution is a lifestyle- being informed, voting for men/women of action, staying 100% out of debt, supporting local community, not watching corporate tv. But most people are lazy, ignorant & greedy- prime victims of theft. And by the time they realize they are broke, it's too late & they go crazy.

If true, this projection about the number of Americans who will be in need of food stamps is almost unimaginably sad. "The wealthiest nation in the world" we were once called.

Demcad unfortunatley true revolution can only be done violently, becuase the powers that be will use violence to protect their positions. They will use the police, military and private armies if necessary. Please look at Latin America and you will see the tactics that were used by the elites.

That kind of arrangement scares the wealthy since a lot of their realestate will empty out and drive rents down.

if you do not consent to be governed, you must assert it (in writing?) to those who claim the right to govern you

the info abounds for those who seek it
caveat emptor: you must be willing to stand for yourself fearlessly, as a man (not as a child of the state)
peace and compassion

The Stimulus, the bail out of GM and Chrysler and Tarp have now created a situation in Michigan where 1 out of every 4 people are unemployed.
Great job Obama and Dem Congress, we will remember you all in Nov 2010.
