I don't think this mix is better than the album mix,.... the drums doesn't sound so great, the snare in the album version is a poison, also the bass has no air, the guitars are lost, the band have no power in this version. Of course the vocals are amazing, IS THE FUCKING MARS VOLTA, and is CEDRIC BIXLER ZAVALA, but the secret of a good mix is in the balance of the band (that I think is a very dificult thing in this mars volta line up). Although, is also amazing.
@markeesdeath That's still there, it's just the mixing that's been changed. Makes you wonder why, because the vocal tracks sound so much more direct and alive this way. If only we could blame Rick Ruben...
Don't know if I'd call this a demo as much as an unmastered version. With the know-how, I imagine you could fuck with the CD version and produce this as a result.

i usually like cedrics low octave vocal with the high octave over it. but in this case, the verse sounds way better with just one vocal track
