I can understand the Tanner family advising us to put safety glass in our windows and everything, (props to them for that,) but what if there were a fire in your house, you had safety glass on all the windows, and going out a window was your only chance to escape. Would you be able to do it?
Yes. Safety glass still breaks, it just breaks into tiny pieces so that you don't get large dangerous shards (which are what cause all the glass injuries on Rescue 911).
What segment was this paired with on the Syndicated episode? I remember it involved a woman and her daughter who were trapped in a flooded car or something like that.
You are correct, it was paired with "Phoenix Flood II", but it was only the mother in the car; the daughter wasn't with her. Both segments were part of Episode 406, so they didn't really split them for syndication, they just took the third and fourth segments of that episode.
ouch. Its sort of scary to think that glass can cut right through you that easily, and she didnt even realize the window was behind her, she wasnt even thinking...poor girl.
I'm moving to Fresno, CA at the end of this month..Scaryy..I always do that to my chair..I'm never going to do that again or I'll just look behind me..
It usually happens from a puncture/laceration wound. A puncture stabs straight in and the laceration tears the wound open, which allows the organ to escape through the hole. The wound is called an evisceration injury.
My sister lost six or seven cups of blood when she was 7.
I became a Paramedic to comfort patients and their families the way the EMTs comforted us while Paramedics were working on my sister.
Incidentally, you have to cut more than 2 inches through the skin to get through the 3 muscles layers that protect the abdominal cavity. Going through the back to expose the colon is a deeper wound. It's an extremely severe laceration.
The rolling motion of the chair combined with gravitational pull caused the cut to be so deep. In Paramedic training, that's called Method Of Injury.
Sugar glass (also called candy glass and breakaway glass) is an edible mixture of sugar, corn syrup and water, which has the appearance of glass when hardened for a limited time before warping and melting. It is used in stunt sequences of television and film in the place of real glass, as it breaks more easily and is less dangerous than real glass. Sugar glass must be used soon after hardening or it loses its effect.
Stupid Mother, She Should've paid attation to what her daughter is doing. If I Was Her (a figure of speach), I Would Be Paying Attation To What My Son Or Daughter Is Doing Instead Of Being In Deep In Conversation With Someone.
so as they were rushing to the hospital, they forgot about the other little kid, as they left, she walked over as played with her sisters guts on the floor.
Shows why you need safety glass, which is shatter resistant. Injuries like that are uncommon with safety glass, but ALL glass should still be treated as a potential danger. The chairs and table should have NEVER been in front of the door.
There's a lot of clips of someone somehow getting cut by a window or door on this show. There's the little 5yr old who ran through the door, the teenager who fell through the window and nearly severed her arms and a lot more. Those things are really dangerous. From this clip I learned to NEVER let a child play by glass even if its in a chair near a window.
The part of this video that really got to me was when the little girl told her mom that she loved her and her mom was thinking that was the last time they'd ever say that to each other. First time I saw that, I cried my eyes out, and it stayed with me for the rest of the day. I was so glad that the girl survived.
Only happened to me in a minor way. To my face. I have scars all over my mouth from where I got a major 2 year old lip piercing from a glass table and my teeth >.>
wow! i just watched this one again and it wuz scary!!!! and that other little girl at the table. she wuznt crying or anything. if i were her, i would have freaked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you know speaking of which what happened to the other little girl?i mean was she still at the house stareing blankly while everyone was at the hospital?
I remember you. Please understand: I can't trade episodes. I think I remember a episode with a basketball player in trouble. I never got to see that episode because I was too busy. I also wanted to see the "Cliff Girl" episode where a girl in her teens falls off a cliff. I saw it, but didn't tape it. Those are my two requests.
I already gave you two freebies, as I have done for others who have made requests. It's not worth my time to record and upload additional requests unless I get some segments I need in return. Sorry.
Well, aeshma28, if you ask me, I personally think that the little sister, Brooke, was much too little to understand what was going on. She didn't really have a scared look on her face. She really just sat there innocently watching, like it was nothing.
what about the poor little sister, left sitting at the table? She witnessed the whole thing... which was pretty traumatic for her. I'm sure Mom had someone watching her, but the video made it look like she just went off in the ambulance and left the little girl sitting at the table. I kept thinking, "what about the other little girl?"
Wow... That is so creepy how children can get THAT severely injered by tipping over in a chair and falling through a window. In the vid, when you could see the big hole in her back, that just freaked me out. I couldn't believe that could happen.
no kidding- my brother does that all the time, on bar stools, and I'm trying to tell him about this episode, but he refuses to watch, because he thinks it's too fake. I guarantee you, if he saw this, he'd probably nail the chairs into the floor!!
im not really sure but it helps if you were watchin the video after Brittany said somethin the operator asked what she said and the mom said" she said i love mommy"
"This segment is nasty because after she falls through, the cam gives us a shot of the broken glass of what's left of the window with blood all over it! And horrific screams intense the experience.."
Let's be thankful that they didn't show that huge hole in her chest.
This segment is nasty because after she falls through, the cam gives us a shot of the broken glass of what's left of the window with blood all over it! And horrific screams intense the experience..
omg this one had me in tears because i was baby sittig a kid once who fell through the window by rocking on his chair... he was fine only a few minor cuts but all it takes is for you to take your eyes off of them for a second and thats when it happens.
That's why you should never rock on your chair.

If body parts are sticking out of a wound, you need to get the towel wet before you apply direct pressure to the area.
