I've sold my copy of Black ops (which i've won for free) to give that money to Battlefield 3 and finally play a game that will hopefully be worth the money.
I hate Zipper now for changing the way Socom used to play.
So why would Infinity Ward want to screw it up like Zipper and completely revamp they're game?
MW = solid game to play while Confrontation was being fixed
WaW = best WW2 storyline I've played yet, with Zombies of course, and changed gunplay due to older weapons
MW2 = sequel to MW storyline, double the killstreaks with a nuke(which is fun and hard to get), host migration, and different art style and settings...
Black Ops = disappointment in PS3 without dedicated servers, hit detection was bad, but they added emblems(kinda gimmicky), wager matches, new and more fun Zombie maps, new great storyline
The game is what it is, and the franchise is on my shit list for screwing the next gen gaming's mentality, but I can't deny that IW and Treyarch put a lot of sweat and blood into their product.
I'm getting BF3 to replace my Socrack itch though.

I agree that there is a lot of bullshit surrounding COD's development, but it is not a comparable shooter to Battlefield. COD and battlefield although both being shooters, are at opposite ends of the FPS genre. COD is a run'n'gun style game with comparably small maps, whereas battlefield is much more tactical and larger scale warfare. The reason the fans of each argue is not because the games directly compete for the same target audience, it's because they appeal to different kinds of fps fans.
Well... Technically you do get a different style each year. It's the Treyarch style and the Infinity Ward style. Even though it's the same two styles never changing from their original versions (World at War and Modern Warfare 1)
Can you do anything other than complain... "The melee's fukd up in U3" "Black Ops is more recycled garbage." CoD4, Mw2 , and Black Ops are so different you get a whole new expierence each game. Even though the stories are similar there still fun and enjoyable. And do you really want melee to do realistic damage and would only hit if you were right next to him. No one would use it. Uncharted 3 multiplayer is something i could actually get addicted to, Uncharted 2's MP, i didn't like because of the fucking melee and the blind fire, and the Dbag scrubs, the only game mode i play on that game is co-op objective and co-op arena,which is super addictive.

@mrdetnation The engine COD uses is a modified version of the id Tech 3 engine which is 12 YEARS OLD!!!!! The graphics look the same as Modern Warfare 2.

@E2MMEDIA MW3 will for sure be the worst in the series. MW3 will sell well, but the quality will make cod fans cry around the world, just like Black Ops. There are 3 development teams on MW3. @n1cknak I don't agree with the fact that Madden and other Sports games release every year, with no more than a Roster change. COD is the same way, Just different Maps, Guns,and Killstreaks all of these could easily be added as DLC. But as far as Battlefield, they don't release every year. Battlefield 2 was released in 2005, Battlefield 3 is a sequel of that. Bad Company 2 was released in early 2010, and Bad Company 1 was released in 2008. I think the Battlefield series is a model for FPS games

@n1cknak LOL All the games you listed are different, They are not sequels to one another, BF Heroes is a Free DL, and BF1943 is cheaper than a COD Map pack. Bad Company 2 is a follow up to Bad Company 1 which was released in 2008, and there is a huge leap in Gameplay, and graphically from Bad Company 1 to Bad Company 2. They have also upgraded their Game Engine with each Battlefield Release. DICE is a great example for FPS development Teams, but your hate for EA is blinding U. :)

Um ive been playing cod since cod4 which in i think is still the best multiplayer wise but hes right though i honestly hated blops it was the worst and a let down. Im probally wil never buy a treyarch game again as the only thing they make good is zombies.
i haven't bought a single CoD game this whole gen. i'm probably the only FPS lover who hasn't owned CoD since CoD 3. i've been waiting on BF3 for a long, long time and i doubt it will disappoint. BF2 addicted me for years and the Bad Company series has held me over, but the real deal is Battlefield 3. in all seriousness i prefer HomeFront to CoD and that game sucks.
I have black ops and Mw2 but thats simply due to the people I game with switching from Counterstrike which is BETTER than black ops or mw2 for the love of god thats a bad statement on its own but so few people were playing it so had to move onto something new and most of them dont own a ps3. Just about all of us are getting bf3 for pc and some of them are getting mw3 as well but I'll save 60 bucks and skip this years cut and paste session. Bf3 is easily going to be a better game.

First off, Uncharted and God of War series were great games that were different from the games that were available then, and had sequels to continue the storyline of those great games. Second, R* has been stepping their games up with each release. Gta was pretty good, RDR was awesome, and L.A. Noire was/is amazing. COD is just the same recycled garbage year after year.

Uncharted 3 multiplayer is something i could actually get addicted to, Uncharted 2's MP, i didn't like because of the fucking melee and the blind fire, and the Dbag scrubs, the only game mode i play on that game is co-op objective and co-op arena,which is super addictive.

Yes some of their Business practices are questionable, but they are good for gaming. They go a little overboard on their DLC, but who isn't now days.

@n1cknak I don't agree with the fact that Madden and other Sports games release every year, with no more than a Roster change. COD is the same way, Just different Maps, Guns,and Killstreaks all of these could easily be added as DLC. But as far as Battlefield, they don't release every year. Battlefield 2 was released in 2005, Battlefield 3 is a sequel of that. Bad Company 2 was released in early 2010, and Bad Company 1 was released in 2008. I think the Battlefield series is a model for FPS games

@n1cknak LOL All the games you listed are different, They are not sequels to one another, BF Heroes is a Free DL, and BF1943 is cheaper than a COD Map pack. Bad Company 2 is a follow up to Bad Company 1 which was released in 2008, and there is a huge leap in Gameplay, and graphically from Bad Company 1 to Bad Company 2. They have also upgraded their Game Engine with each Battlefield Release. DICE is a great example for FPS development Teams, but your hate for EA is blinding U. :)

I have black ops and Mw2 but thats simply due to the people I game with switching from Counterstrike which is BETTER than black ops or mw2 for the love of god thats a bad statement on its own but so few people were playing it so had to move onto something new and most of them dont own a ps3. Just about all of us are getting bf3 for pc and some of them are getting mw3 as well but I'll save 60 bucks and skip this years cut and paste session. Bf3 is easily going to be a better game.
