  • hey um...can anyone do the splits? cause i'm 13, never have been able to do the splits. even when i was young like 5. i'm 3 inches away. is that my lmit or can i get it?

  • When I go down into my splits after doing all the stretches, my back leg won't budge at all. Like what I mean is that it won't push down anymore. I've never been able to do left/right splits, I could do straddles (middle splits) a year ago. I am SUPER close to being able to again. My problem is just getting my body in a comfortable position and pushing myself down. Please help, fitforafeast? (:

  • I STILL can't! @fitforafeast Whenever I try doing the side splits, my legs hurt! And the handstands, I can't find the strength to lift myself up. What should I do?

  • @Angea11 you can be flexible without being skinny - you just have to stretch every day (20-30 mins)

  • @bishop0645 but with time and practice you can get it. I'm 13(started practicing when i was 12)  and i was not even close to the floor but i keept stretching and now i can do them. It takes time. In my case it took me for about 3 weeks(not practicing every day, maybe once every 2 or 3 days) but the only thing you need is practice :)

  • I have my right splits from using this video and I would like to get my left splits..but its impossible because when I try to go down to my left, my knee doesnt want to unbend!! My dad told me that I focused on my right leg more than my left so my legs r not balanced equally of stretching... PLEASE HELP!!

  • @Maddy9604 it is not going to work the first time you try (unless you are naturally really flexible) you have to build flexibility by stretching

  • You know this is dangerous I dislocated my hip and sprained my leg taking your advice. now i cant walk and sometimes have to use a wheelchair ( that I'm on right now) but it helped I'm more flexable now

  • @Cookiesrock115 don't think you can do that -even if you force yourself into the splits - you need to take it slowly and stretch every day - just as far as you can till it starts to hurt

  • I put my back leg up on a stool and held it for 3 minutes, then I had to go to the hospital. So I can't practice each day now. Actually I could probably put the other leg up on the stool.

  • everytime I try to do a middlesplit it ends up getting blocked by my knee and my legs feel as if they are going to break. Be blunt with me, is this going to improve over time or am I never going to be able to do the middlesplit?

  • @DarkMan3436 You ALWAYS have to warm up before doing the splits, also, you have to stretch before doing the splits. NEVER do the splits with your muscles not warmed up, you can break something!
