  • Is it sure it was Dougie Wright ????? And Herbie Flowers HAS NEVER PLAYED on STUDIO's cessions but : DAVE RICHMOND who had his cspecial sound on his Black Burn Bison.

  • This is my Dad 'Dougie Wright' on drums. He was the original drummer on Gainsbourg's recordings and was invited with the other original musicians who recorded with Gainsbourg to re-unite for this gig. The other guys...Herbie Flowers (Bass), Vic Flick (Guitar), Big Jim Sullivan (Guitar).

  • Marvomat!

Your dad is my favourite drummer of all time! (Alongside Mitch Mitchell!) Glad to finally know who played on Histoire de Melody Nelson! I wish I'd known about this gig. Cheers, Tom

  • I was there and it was terrible. Cocker mumbling, reading from a piece of paper, didn't lift his eyes to the audience once. He looked like he couldn't be bothered.

  • Have you ever seen some Gainsbourg TV clips where he is doing the exact same things?

  • Great stuff, thanks.

  • You forgot Vannier, who's maybe, probably in fact, THE genius around.

  • Gainsbourg was a god before, with, and after Vannier

  • why after ?? Vannier is still alive and well i just saw him in paris next sundy in the ' cité dela musique ' his talking was great !! he is a music genius

  • @zeguitarman Right ! I agree !!

  • this is absolutely wonderful...

Serge + Jarvis = overdose of marvellousness..
