Nice flying,I dont recommend buying one of these unless you can already fly rc helis, unless you dont mind buying the spares :) ....Im just in the process of getting mine going again,Ive noticed the tail motor doesnt rev at a constant speed but sounds like a car/bike reving while not touching the control,do you know what this could be?Thanks.
If yours is a brushed version you might notice strange sound and vibration in the tail motor. It usually start occurring around 15 to 30 flights. Its a sign that the motor is wearing out. You will notice that the tail motor is getting hot, tail is not holding position anymore, lack of power, sudden un expected movements.
You can replace the tail motor but a permanent fix would be upgrading your heli to brushless motors.
..I must say though the Walkera 4g3b is actually a 6ch helicopter and can do 3D. It also has a different rotor head. Definitely not the same as the BuzzFly SE.
It does resemble the BuzzFly 3D and 3Ds a lot though.
Hi, ive just bought one of these. how do you trim and fine tune the heli?
My swashplate seems to be horizontal but to keep the aircraft anywhere close to steady, i need to apply rather a lot of right input on the control, i already have the trim tab over to full right.
The best thing you can do is to make the linkage on the left side a little bit longer so that the swashplate will tilt 1 or 2 degrees to the right. Just dislocate the joint make 2 full turn counterclockwise and test fly you heli. Swashplate 100% level wil result in you heli drifting to the left while flying. do not use trim on the tramsmitter, leave is at center. those trims are for verry small adjustment just to correct your heli.
Great flying! just got my buzzfly SE and i am struggling to control it, mines no where near as stable as that... is it because i'm rubbish or does it take alot of practise to get it to fly so well. any comments/tips would be very much appreciated mate!
Hey, just wanted to ask if it is possible for you to make a video on how to train with this heli. also how to trim it and install the battery properly (as mine keeps falling out), as none of this stuff is explained very well in the manual. if you can that would be great, cos I can't find any tips or guides for this heli, and u seem to know quite alot about them. Thnx
Nice Video by the way. Just bought the BE (brushless motors) version of the buzz fly. So far things ain't going well. my heli doesn't seem to be stable at all. can't even lift it 1 foot of the floor with the heli crashin. for some reason it just has a mined of its own, lookin at your video my heli is no way as stable as yours, i can't even hover the damn thing, i've been using a 3ch heli before this so im not a beginer to heli's. Plz help help me out.
Well, it took me 2 months before i could hover like that. I had a lot of crashes, made a lot of adjustments. After that, you will get the feeling and the know how on how to adjust the heli to your needs.
i started also with a 3ch heli. but the difference is too big. A 3ch heli is actually a toy, a 4ch is the basic of RC helicopters.
What i suggest is that you start with the adjustment of the swashplate and the CoG(center of Gravity).
Just by doing that, can make miracles to the heli.
BUZZ FLY SE is great for beginers to be introduced to RC helicopter.
BUZZ FLY 3D is a full 6ch heli which is more difficult. if you have some experience the BUZZ FLY 3D should do the job because it is capable of doing stunts(3D manoeuvres)
wow thanks for getting back to me sorry i dont have a video as such the tail keeps moving round even if i trim it on the back of the transmitter you can open up a small slot says dip switch on mines the only one thats different is number one dip switch its up means on the rest are all down is that right anything you can tell me is great cheers mitch
okay i see, i don't have the switches on the back of my trasmitter, but just to be sure, its a 2.4Ghz and the helicopter is rotating counterclockwize correct?in this case: put the rudder trim all the way to the left, then turn on the transmitter and connect the helicopter, let it initialize. put the trim back to center position. this schould give you a lot more power to the tail motor
and you should be able to fly.
i will make a video on this subject as soon as possible

hi there
Practice a lot is the key.
But first you need to fine tune (trim) your heli.
Just adjusting the linkages and swashplate on the heli.
Trims on the transmitters are for small adjustments while flying.
The best result can be achieved by letting them at center position.
A brushless upgrade can help also because the have more power.
A combination of all i just said can result in my video on brushless upgrade.
check it out and if you have more questions feel free to ask.

BuzzFly is a full 4 channel FP helicopter.

Not recommended for beginners with no fly experience!

Hi, can you make a video to show what exactly is going on because it can be the tail motor or it can need some fine tune.
If you have more specific details i can help you out
