Wasn't expecting a mix, so the 12-string in my left ear was a pleasant surprise.

The lyrics hit home despite me not really knowing what they mean.  Very Bono-esque in that regard.

Everything works wonderfully, especially the changes on "night" and the "nah nah" bits. I'm left with a taste of McCartney as well as another influence I recognize but can't quite place. The extra keys that you toss in make a huge difference. You are a youtube tour de force, Ron.

I can sing a little bit but you are the meistersinger :o) I don't have any secrets on songwriting really, but little riffs and phrases I come up with tend to build up into a song over time, and I have a bunch of them going on at the same time. boy Ron, you pulled out all the stops on this one! it works on every level. great phrases throughout (As looks ricochet) is my favorite phrase. the association factor kicks in for me and I find myself thinking, "so also do feelings and attractions and futures ricochet." i love the chorus and the vocal "na na's" in place of a streight guitar or keyboard lead. i can see you put a lot of effort and thought into this one from start to finish. so well done, be well, chuck.

"Sticky" melody, as others have already said. The pub singalong vocal "chorus" was a great hook. Not sure about the guitar in that mix, though—getting rhythm guitar and piano to play nice together is always difficult, in my opinion. Banjo might have been better.

That was just incredible, sounds like something Billy Joel could have written, I particularly enjoyed your phrasing in this one. You're getting really good on the piano too, it adds another layer of depth to your music. The harmonies during the 'na na na' section were gorgeous, reminded me of a sea shanty - very catchy indeed. The music stands out in this one, but the lyrics are also beautiful. I say it often, but this really is my new favourite of yours.
