  • Thx for this..its awesome.

  • Thank you EVER so much for posting this!!!! I've been trying to find this, and a few other early songs, for at least 30 years!!!! This is the first time I've ever actually heard this, and I JUST missed winning it on eBay moments ago because I fell asleep waiting for it to end!!!!

  • Yes, Denny Lane - Penny Lane, friend of Beatles and Mr. McCartney. But he was enough by his own himself - one of the greatest song ever!!!

  • Kirsty! My eternal thanks!

  • So bussy:( Life can be so cruel. But once more thanks for this!

  • This song actually could explain the essence of love. It makes the same chemicals run through my body. Deep respect!

  • Ooit single gehad,weg dus,onzettend blij met deze opname.dank

  • @fredrosier Altijd een geweldig nummer gevonden. Dany Laine was een geweldige zanger!

  • denny laine was and is brilliant, any band he's been a part of is brilliant, he's got gypsy roots right?

  • They're good but THIS is the Best.

  • I prefer Pussycat version.

  • great Mellotron sound It was a Hit here in The netherlands

  • Paris is a really beautiful and monumental city. The most richest city in artistics treasures.

  • greatest song ever

  • loved that pic of the moodies and the beatles

  • @MacGrurry Denny was a long time member of wings too, just like james paul, it's because they met while on tour together, this is the picture it is from that time, Wings was formed in 1971, the pictures are still 60's this particular tune was a 1966 single, the last one composed or to feature denny laine

  • Walked this Perisien Boulevard dozens of times. Always singing this awesome song.

P.S. Same goes for Boulevard St. Michel, with Peter Sarstedt's song "Where do you go to my lovely".

  • Love this song from way back and quite a nice job on the video. Denny was the best!

  • The real Moody Blues was with Denny.

Justin taking over made it something QUITE different.

  • yeah, successful

  • The Moodies with Denny was a Blues and Top 40 Band, with Justin and John, it turned into a Legend. I don't think that the original Moodies would have made it nearly as far as the Moodies with NIWS.

    Rob

  • @levensregt That's true, but Justin certainly is awesome!

  • the Moody Blues is the best artist there ever was!!

  • i like their music very much

    jeruzalem

  • Lovely melancholic song. Superb! I always loved this group.

  • Haha.. This is a tango. Let's dance to it.

  • misschien,de mooiste uit die periode

  • my name is madeleine! (:

  • I really like this song and this is the first time I've heard it. It is too bad that Denny never got anything for this song. I understand that was common in those days. Not fair.

  • a wonderful and beautiful discovery I have just made of The Moody Blues

  • Denny wrote it ~ It's BEAUTIFUL ~ He NEVER saw a penny from it ~ Music Biz Shame . . .

  • Brian Hines/Denny wrote this song - It's BEAUTIFUL!

He NEVER saw a penny from it ~ posted by Deliadreams ~ his wife

  • Long way from Yardley Grammar School days.

  • Wow, I only found this because of Pussycat's version. I like this, but that singer in pussycat is so emotive and sells the song better. But this is cool.

  • thanks for are lovely memory

  • I'm a longtime fan of the MB, but the "Pussycat"(Holland) rendition of this song carries so much more emotion than the original, mainly due to that unbelievable beautiful voice of the leadsinger.

The original lacks the emotion the Pussycat rendition is loaded with !

  • Genius is the right word that simply describes the MB.

If you listen, really listen to them you can hear the voice within and feel the change already begin.

sizzler Joe in bay city MI. usa

  • Hmmm! Ray, Lodgey and Justy are lookin' pretty tough there at 2:14. Oh, BABY!!!

  • Thanks for the nostalgia

  • never heard it before thanks! i love denny's voice

  • I cannot believe I just heard this song. I last heard it a lifetime ago. That really took me back. Thank you for the trip...

  • Great! Thanks a lot! :)
