@thisisgreat1234 As an educator I can tell you that the point of playing pieces out of the comfortable range of your students is to push them to do better...not to sound perfect at the preformance.
i really don't understand how people want to take P D Q Bach seriously. He died before his birth! I think that the trumpet does quite well, the composer fails xD
I'm with JrdnSn. It's obvious that he hit a wrong partial which resulted in immediate nervousness causing him to mess up fingerings and ruining the great solo. The rest was amazing, and your conductor knows his music. But the Tuba and trumpet need work. Learn to take responsibility for things instead of pushing a dead argument.
LOL loved the part where that guy threw the cymbals. rofl. we just recently played this in the band i'm part of and for the crassho grosso, we just used a whole bunch of metal things, like tools and pie tins and stuff and we dropped them all in a metal trash can. hahaha (:
yes i know he writes "silly" stuff. if you want to call it that. by the way i was referring to the solo in the fourth movement. it doesnt sound like that at all. your first trumpet fails

Love the bit with the cymbals. Nicely done.

PDQ Bach really was a revolutionary composer. His music is filled with such depth and emotion, far ahead of his time.

(re: all the trumpet stuff)
Except, if I remember correctly from playing it in high school, the score actually tells you to play it badly...

oh, but the baby's voice is really an inventive part of the orchestration =)
