"And even though it felt warm..and safe...I knew it had to end." And the turn. The saddest moment in TV history is the hallway being shown as empty. MAJOR TEARS.
Ben should have been there it would have made this episode complete cos he could have took a picture of his last day it would have mad so much sense for him to be in this episode xx
I think about my best friend. I'm not interested in him romantically but we're like siblings. And he has this girlfriend and she hits him. Every time I see him he has a bad bruise and blames a door, or a wall, or an animal but I know it was her. I really do not know what to do . I've told a few adults and they all say "he's a guy, he should be a man and take it ". I'm scared that the next time I see him he'll be in a body bag.
I love this scene, it made me cry the 1st time i saw this...... Imagine if everyone, dead/alive were standing there as if u were about to go do the other side, or do the one thing u have always wanted to do, but never did
Hooch is frickin' awesome. The way he says his line is just pure epicness. It makes me laugh and for a second forget that this is the last few minutes of Scrubs...
@PandaOracle So were a lot of the people. Jill Tracy, Ms. Wilkis, the old grandmother who tell JD to go on the picnic. I think Ben wasn't in the season finale simply because of contracting/videoing issues. For example, Franklin, the Korean lab technician, wasn't in the season finale because the producers didn't want him to be. Maybe something like that happened to Ben?
@Ralx13 That's not it. The reason he didn't return is unknown, but Bill (Lawrence, red.) never made it a secret that he would like to have a return of Brendan Fraser one thing or another. I think it's just conflicting schedules or something like that..
how??!! how can a program that is mainly based on goofy jokes and ridiculus fantasies make me so goddamn emotional??? my god i love scrubs and i feel like i know the characters personally.......this scene is such a killer.
Not having Ben, Doug, and Mandy Moore (Julie) = FAIL!!
Other than that, this is the most beautiful scrubs moment ever. When J.D. turns around at 2:29 and the hall is empty...that's probably the saddest Scrubs moment ever.
@ipodnano4334 id imagine it was probably a tough enough task to get all the ppl in that they did. i missed ben too and a few others......but it was still an amazingly touching scene. hooch at the end cracked me up something special as well lol
Seems pretty appropriate for myself and others graduating college this year. The future is scary, but its important to remember your past, but not live in the past too long.
To all of those entering "the real world" BEST OF LUCK!
"You ever go on that picnic? Make sure you do." The lady from My Old Lady. JD's first patient to die and probably my favorite patient. I teared a little bit just seeing her at the end.
@rakshi7259 If a show keeps going on, it would end up loosing it's charm, and maybe alot of the cast and humour would disapear. Always stop while on the top, instead of the show being cancelled with alot of people saying "It was better before..." - like they do now.
What a show. I think it should have ended here - ever good show needs to end in a way for the viewers to wan't more. Like a smart man once sai'd: "Always leave them begging for more." - and this way, it would have worked. I will not watch any of that new-cast crap. What a monolog to end it all with.
the only thing I felt missing, that was really prominent, was Ben in the hallway. I loved that they had the old lady from the first season that passed away (My Old Lady), but I think Ben showing up would have just made me cried even harder than I already was. Guess Brendan Frasier couldn't make it :/
@Vinya It would have been cool to have him right where the doors open, with his camera out taking a picture of the long hallway, like when JD was fantasizing that he was at that same spot when he was trying to forget that he was diagnosed with leukemia.
I'm a medical doctor and I can really told you that scrubs is so realistic!! No Grey's anatomy, no doctor house...no ER, only scrubs show the real life in a hospital...and l hope some day I'll become a real good doctor like cox or JD
@jadsuckme - Dan was the son of JD's last patient. Dan's mother had Huntington's Disease, an incurable mental disorder that would eventually kill her. The worse news is that Huntington's Disease is hereditary, so Dan has a 50/50 chance of getting it too. But when offered to be tested, Dan refused. He said that knowing the future would bind him to his fate. Not knowing meant that he could make the future whatever he wanted it to be.
I was sooo sad after this episode! But then I was pissed about season 9, and I decided to make this the final season of Scrubs, in my heart. Best show finale ever.

@GasMaskRepublic He played Overkill in the first episode of season 2. He also sung 'I come from a land down under' in a fantasy where Kim had her baby.
