  • Nice demo, but didn't anyone check the "level" of the "recorder"? It is very poorly

done, lots of distortion. Oh well, YouTube has all kinds of amateur videos.

  • Im shocked a Baptist church is the place in this video. It seems like Episcopaelian, Roman Catholic,Anglican or even Lutheran, Baptist churches are usually plain and basic-no organ. The Baptist church emphasizes the bible. The Baptist churches emphasize the Bible as the Word of God,This video is shocking in that many Baptist churches have no organs, have long sermons and use jewish matzoh as communion not a wafer like catholics do.This video shocked me its a Baptist church but looks Catholic

  • @gacci777 im kinda shocked that you are shocked lol. I'v was raised a baptist and am still a baptist, this doesnt look unusual at all to me. it certainly doesnt look catholic. every baptist church iv traveled to had an organ, and ours has and uses the organ too. It is possible to emphasize the Word of God AND have a fancy church too, nothing wrong with that.

  • The organ you play here is 5 MANUAL.. is it the 1138? Does it have the gravissima 64 stop?... We in India can only dream of these.... SIGH...

  • @resultant64 This is an all pipe organ.

  • @bombarde1701a

Oh.. k So Rodgers makes pipe organs too.. Wht is the lowest stop? Is it the 32' and is it 32' in lenght or 16' pipe in a pipe which sounds like a 32'?

  • @resultant64 Technically, Rodgers doesn't actually mike pipe organs. They would like you to think that to get more business. All they produce is the electronics and the consoles and rudimentary cabinetry to a limited degree. All pipe design work, pipe work, chest making, tonal finishing, etc, is subbed out to a qualified pipe organ builder.

  • @praestant8

    That.s interesting to note....Thanks

  • Not too many churches use their organ any more as the grand piano is being used much more than the organ. If a church buys a new organ these days, it will be a Hammond organ as no one plays the classical organ any more. So sad as the organ is so much fun to play.

  • @patsaxon

The organ is still used in many churches in europe and the USA...

well i wish some organs were donated to india.. we play on eelctronic keyboards.....

  • do they still use it?

  • @Everlings .. the organs still there but thats about it

  • this was many years ago, mid 80's. Today this same church has theatre screens hanging in front of the pipes and their music is all contemporary.

  • @kensingtonpalace such a shame

  • did that organ have "bird" stops? woah! omg! I want one so bad! :O

  • Wow, Fred Swann looks so very young in this video! In what year was this fimed?

  • Second is lovely, but it's also an acoustical nightmare for classical music. This place is all about contemporary worship, and this place has more microphones than God has stars in the sky.

First looks more like an auditorium.

  • Dear Lord, if this is "Second Baptist" I can't imagine what First Baptist looks like! What a lovely Church and amazing organ. Congratulations guys!

  • So boring...

  • Inferior recording equipment for this video, alas
