I use Autarchs as kamikaze with some guardian bikes, give him mandi-blasters, laser lance, jet bike, fusion gun (I think, not so sure about the last one) and fortune them first turn, then go turbo boost... 3+ armour on all of them AND the same cover save re-rolling? Yes please! Next turn, hop over to some unit that doesn't like power weapons and stuff, use the squad to gun some of them down and charge in! Many strength 6 power weapon attacks at WS 6. Tah ;D

@NightmareOmegaZero77 Very simple answer... don't put him with Swooping Hawks.

I don't remember what I said in this video since it is over a year old, but Swooping Hawks are to hunt vehicles and kill squishy infantry... your Autarch is a general CC beast (even with his low str), and is much better suited for CC... keep him in a CC oriented unit. I prefer Storm Guardians with a Farseer with Doom. It's a lot of points, but they put out an insane amount of damage.

Theres two different models for teh Autarch one with Howling Banshee mask and a Power Sword, and one with Mandiblaster helmet and a Chainsword, if i want Power Sword and Mandiblaster helmet do i have to buy both the Autarch models?...

I mainly find Autarchs as support to another unit, rather than an Uber Fighty Character, such as the Warboss or Daemon Prince, as T3 and S3 will NOT see him surviving/killing many tough un's.

Hes not designed to carve through Tough Units, by himself, id probably put him with Warp Spiders or Striking Scorpions, the Scorpions are hitting hard, while the Autarch can attack quickly, maybe taking out that one Space Marine, maybe two, up to 3 or 4 if lucky, Most tough T4 basic troops arent very effective in close quarters.

What i do with my Autarch is euip her with a Jetbike, mandiblasters, laser lance and a reaper launcher and stick her with a full squad of Shining Spears with exarch that has withdraw and a star lance. that gives me 14 str 6 and 3 str 8 power weapon attacks on the charge. great for taking out any troublesome units.

My Autarch's mounted on a Jetbike. I really recomend it especially for capture/control battles just add him to your Jetbike squad/Spear squad.

yes i reackon you should go with eldar bcus they r very fun and can have MANY themes like choose a craftworld (or exodite army) and so many diff options with all the aspect warriors and things. and also loads of different tactics like assault mech or shooty mech, static, counter assault... u get tha pic. but the downside is is u have to use everything in unison together unlike SM were u can send small groups off to do there own thing.

Hehehe. Nice vid. I do use my Autarch sometimes, I test played it against I.G. and they did really well (they aeventually died) But they held up both the commisars and his HSO long enough for the 2 Wraithlords (yes, sometimes I play 3) to smoke them all. The Autarch on Jetbike is a very average to expensive model to take, so I dont take him often, but when I do, he's stuck in with 9 jetbikes to make sure his Fusion Gun makes it to the tank! Good Battle Tactic!!

I always enjoy these videos. The miniwargaming team puts a great deal of effort into the production quality and the entertainment. I love the way these are cut and the random scenes mixed in help to break up the tactica and make it more interesting and fun. The back drop is interesting without being distracting. Finally the presentation was well timed and flowed smoothly. The miniature was well painted as well. As usual you guy slam dunked it. Even though I play marines these help me learn lists

Actually Joe, the Banshee Mask can give the opponent a lower weapon skill for the first round of combat on a failed Leadership test.

That being said I prefer the Mandi-blasters as well :)

Autarchs are cool, fluffwise and gamewise. Really, he finished all of the Warrior Aspects. My Biel-Tan list contains an Autarch and a Phoenix Lord. They pwn noobs. People lol when they don't see a Farseeron the table, but I end up having the last laugh.
