@GenralGrievous433 i don't have to, i read most of the stories, and played a lot of the games, believe me i know. what i'm saying is, Yog-Sothoth has unimaginable size/strength, as well as the ability to control time and space this makes him the second most powerful person in the mythos (despite the fact that he is pacifistic). but Azathoth exists INDEPENDENT of time and space, and doesn't abide by those laws
@GenralGrievous433 even IF Yog-Sothoth could send Azathoth back in time, and as far away from the galaxy as he could (even though it's stated that it would be easier to move the universe itself then it would be to move Azathoth), it still wouldn't matter. because Azathoth made reality, and this universe, AND Yog-Sothoth in a dream. and the second he wakes up, those dreams will shatter. which is why it's literally impossible to kill Azathoth, AND why he's still sleeping
@nickytis1039 no, TIME is an extension of Yog-Sothoth, but Yog-Sothoth is not an extension of time. all things, including space and time, including the great Yog-Sothoth himself are extensions of Azathoth's imagination. and they are what he dreams up when he sleeps. when Azathoth awakens, all things, INCLUDING Yog-Sothoth will dissipate into nothingness. that is why you cannot kill Azathoth, because reality is his dream; and when he wakes, reality shatters
Yeah, to an old one, we are just germs plagueing their turf...to an outer god great old ones are just germs.
Yog-Yothoth´s powers would be way beyond those of Cthulhu or Hastur.
Cthulhu is "just" an ancient alien, trapped in his sunken city until "the stars are right", Yog-Sothoth is everywhere, he controls space and time...Cthulhu is a god compared to us, Yog-Sothoth truely is godlike.
@1DarkMasK1 Judging character's by strength and evil alone is a pretty shallow way to go about reading literature. He's one of the more unique among the other's, which mostly all look identical looking like large masses with singular or numerous features. He's also the closest to Lovecraft himself, suffering from social and sanity issue's much like his father had.
@1DarkMasK1 Cthulhu is not a great old one. his side (Azathoth, Yog-Sothoth, Hastur, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Dagon, Cthulhu, Yig, Nug, Ithaqua, Yib-Hstil, ext.) are ALL "Ancient Ones", while the other side is referred to as "Elder Gods". although it's true that Cthulhu is not nearly as strong as those such as Azathoth, or Yog-Sothoth, he's EASILY the most famous Ancient One, and the one who is most mentioned in the stories

@srobertsrstephen No, they are a collection of works by the late 1920's cosmic horror author, H.P. Lovecraft, as well as his co-authors... to some however, the reality of the insignificance of the human race has led to an acceptance of the possibility of the Great Old Ones in a religious type way. I accept them as literary works myself, however, granted what we know of physics, limited by our human minds, according to the multiverse, there exists any number of places, where these beings exist...
What I find creepy is that there's no way of knowing what percentage of Yog-Sothoth's complete form is visible in this picture. It could well be under 3% of him that is even visible from within our dimension.
These things are as real as God or Wotan, for example. You are basicly saying that all religious people are stupid. You can believe in anything you want to.
@schwartsbruder Ya but doesn't change the fact they are freaking awesome. I'm a Wiccan so I don't buy into the necronomican stuff but I always been a huge Lovecraft fan.
Part of Yog-Sothoth's mystique comes from how bizarre his physical presence is. If an artist's rendering cannot sufficiently capture him, the reader is left to imagine for himself. And imagination is far more terrible than reality.
@marthwmaster So very true. Most of Lovecraft's creations cannot actually be depicted per say, for the good reason that they are... unspeakable ; so beyond human logic and conception of physics that we can't even start to describe them. And thus most of their appearance is left to personal interpretation.
Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth's fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.
I don't care who Yog-sothoth is, he had better wipe his feet before he comes inside! I'll not have any of that slime on my nice, clean floors. And close that Gateway Between Worlds! Were you born in a barn or what??
Mister gomez, could you please do a relaxation video exactly like the intros to these videos? They almost send me into a trance... Or maybe that's the point XD
Well, I'm normally a rational materialist, but I seriously saw something like Yog-Sothoth once... Either that or my brain simulated it, yet what's the difference between reality being simulated and a transcendent archetype/entity? I would love to see someone use DMT while reading Lovecraft...
Azy and Yogie? Do you thing you´re cool by writting those stupid names? Mans, i´m sorry, but you´re definitely damned. When THE day comes, you´ll suffer the unspeakable u.u
@mistergomezmmwg yeah, niether did most of lovecraft's characters....you just need a chance to look into the abyss and know the truth....THE OLD ONES WILL RETURN!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!...lolz....
@mistergomezmmwg Apocalypse and Armageddon is the same. Well, not the same, but close. Armageddon is a place where all the fighting will take place during Apocalypse.
@8ferarry8 Actually Armageddon is the battle, not the place. It is the final battle between good and evil, IE, God and Satan. And you do realize that by calling it "nonsense" you're insulting the beliefs of millions? I'm not saying I mind people believing differently, what annoys me is them insulting the beliefs of others.
@ChaoticHypocracy No. It actually is a place. And a battle is supposed be between Christ and Antichrist, not God vs Satan. Its all in a New Testament.
And yes, I know that I "insult" millions of people. I also know that millions of people are stupid.
@8ferarry8 I've read the Bible. Armageddon is the final battle between good and evil, not the place where it occurs. And no, it is not the final fight between Christ and the Antichrist, as the latter is destroyed before the final battle, which is between his master Satan and God, where Satan is cast into Hell for one-thousand years. And by calling Christians stupid you show that you are quite immature. Grow and and respect others, like an adult.
@UndeadClown95 In Norse mythology, Ragnarök (pronounced UK: /ˈræɡnərɜːk/,[2] US: /ˈræɡnərɒk/ or /ˈræɡnərək/;[3] Old Norse [rɑɡnɑrøk] "final destiny of the gods"[4]) is a series of future events, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdall, and the jötunn Loki), the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water. hit up wikipedia for more info.
@thespoonybard2121 dude the things is according to norse mythology ragnarök already happened, so it's not future anymore :D Only thor's son and a daughter of one of the another gods survived. And they breed and created civilization again. At least that's what i read in my norse mythology books. So everyone, relax! there will be no ragnarök, it already happened :D
@mistergomezmmwg are you idiot? THE DAY is the day when the stars align and Cthulhu destroy us all. And by the way, it´s just a FUCKING joke, i´m fucking ATHEIST and it seems that youtube users are stupid...
@psicobiris this mythology is just as fake as yours, even if more people believe in yours. At least those who take the necronomicon seriously dont feel guilt for being what they are, human.
@psicobiris no I dont believe in the Cthulhu mythos, though I like Lovecrafts work and the subsequent works that have been written. Im assuming from the comment I origionally replied to that youre a christian. What I was saying was that all religions are fantasies, its just that those that take the Cthulhu mythos as their religion dont carry around the guilt of "sin" for being human the way most other religions do.

Yog-Sothoth is not real nor does any type of monster that lovecraft wrote even exist.
schwartsbruder 1 year ago
@schwartsbruder Ya but doesn't change the fact they are freaking awesome. I'm a Wiccan so I don't buy into the necronomican stuff but I always been a huge Lovecraft fan.
emofelix23 1 year ago
Part of Yog-Sothoth's mystique comes from how bizarre his physical presence is. If an artist's rendering cannot sufficiently capture him, the reader is left to imagine for himself. And imagination is far more terrible than reality.
marthwmaster 1 year ago 24
@marthwmaster So very true. Most of Lovecraft's creations cannot actually be depicted per say, for the good reason that they are... unspeakable ; so beyond human logic and conception of physics that we can't even start to describe them. And thus most of their appearance is left to personal interpretation.
AlexDraco 9 months ago

Well, I'm normally a rational materialist, but I seriously saw something like Yog-Sothoth once... Either that or my brain simulated it, yet what's the difference between reality being simulated and a transcendent archetype/entity? I would love to see someone use DMT while reading Lovecraft...

@psicobiris Which day would that be? Armageddon? Ragnarok? Apocalypse?... Sorry, but I don't buy into that "end of days, final judgment" crap.
mistergomezmmwg 1 year ago 22
@mistergomezmmwg yeah, niether did most of lovecraft's characters....you just need a chance to look into the abyss and know the truth....THE OLD ONES WILL RETURN!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!...lolz....

@mistergomezmmwg taking me seriously? really? sorry, but i think you are stupid, man.
psicobiris 1 year ago
@mistergomezmmwg Apocalypse and Armageddon is the same. Well, not the same, but close. Armageddon is a place where all the fighting will take place during Apocalypse.
If you believe such nonsense that is :-)
8ferarry8 1 year ago
@8ferarry8 Actually Armageddon is the battle, not the place. It is the final battle between good and evil, IE, God and Satan. And you do realize that by calling it "nonsense" you're insulting the beliefs of millions? I'm not saying I mind people believing differently, what annoys me is them insulting the beliefs of others.
ChaoticHypocracy 1 year ago
@ChaoticHypocracy No. It actually is a place. And a battle is supposed be between Christ and Antichrist, not God vs Satan. Its all in a New Testament.
And yes, I know that I "insult" millions of people. I also know that millions of people are stupid.
8ferarry8 1 year ago
@8ferarry8 I've read the Bible. Armageddon is the final battle between good and evil, not the place where it occurs. And no, it is not the final fight between Christ and the Antichrist, as the latter is destroyed before the final battle, which is between his master Satan and God, where Satan is cast into Hell for one-thousand years. And by calling Christians stupid you show that you are quite immature. Grow and and respect others, like an adult.
ChaoticHypocracy 1 year ago
@ChaoticHypocracy If being mature means not calling things by their true names, then I don't want to be a mature adult.

@mistergomezmmwg whats Ragnarok
UndeadClown95 1 year ago
@UndeadClown95 In Norse mythology, Ragnarök (pronounced UK: /ˈræɡnərɜːk/,[2] US: /ˈræɡnərɒk/ or /ˈræɡnərək/;[3] Old Norse [rɑɡnɑrøk] "final destiny of the gods"[4]) is a series of future events, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdall, and the jötunn Loki), the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water. hit up wikipedia for more info.
thespoonybard2121 1 year ago
@thespoonybard2121 dude the things is according to norse mythology ragnarök already happened, so it's not future anymore :D Only thor's son and a daughter of one of the another gods survived. And they breed and created civilization again. At least that's what i read in my norse mythology books. So everyone, relax! there will be no ragnarök, it already happened :D

uiruu 11 months ago
@psicobiris this mythology is just as fake as yours, even if more people believe in yours. At least those who take the necronomicon seriously dont feel guilt for being what they are, human.
TheCaptainLulz 1 year ago
@TheCaptainLulz i almost can´t believe you´re answering me seriously... Are you stupid enough to believe such things?
psicobiris 1 year ago
@psicobiris no I dont believe in the Cthulhu mythos, though I like Lovecrafts work and the subsequent works that have been written. Im assuming from the comment I origionally replied to that youre a christian. What I was saying was that all religions are fantasies, its just that those that take the Cthulhu mythos as their religion dont carry around the guilt of "sin" for being human the way most other religions do.
TheCaptainLulz 1 year ago
@psicobiris ROFLMAO FAIL! these false deities are just the same as religions. They're all made up in books.
