lilnyc,purplepix.., and everyone thanks for sharing ur experiences.. We can avoid those horrible incident today onwards. Very much sorry for the little ones who died in those heartbraking shocking accidents.
i have to agree with purplepixiechic u may have a harness on her but you cant control outside hazards. Stormy my 5lb.tzu always rode like this,she loved it but a big rig lost 2 tires on a freeway jumping the center divider aimed at her it hit the mirror shot it through the window throwing stormy taking her eye out of its socket. she took the brunt of the tire & saved me & I all I have left are memories & her ashes she was only 5
She was my world I lost her & my faith please be careful!
im almost about to cry....i am begging you please please do not let her do that im trying to save you the heart break my dad did that a year ago just riding in the naeighborhood and our shih tzu darla died by jumping out and my dad could not reach her in time and she fell under the tires of our truck and got ran over and was instantley killed my dad ran to the fire station right down the road and he was screaming they had to give him a ride back it was deffinitley the worse day of my life
thanks for the concern but rest assured she was on a harness when we were doing this video. I always hold her when we're in the car bec. i can't imagine my life without her..
@ purplepixiechic - So sorry about your dog. That's horrible. In the 80s, before seatbelts for dogs, a little dog jumped out of a driver's window in front of me I immediately stopped to block traffic despite being honked at. Unfortunately the dog, confused, wandered onto the highway, and all i heard were the owners screaming. That has stuck in my mind for 20 years.
of course! I was using one hand on the video recorder and the other hand on her. she has a harness. I would never want anything to happen to her. she's precious to me ^_^
Exactly what my Shih Tzu likes to do....I cannot imagine having any other breed of dog!

I'm sorry about what happened to Storm. I am very careful when Rikku's with me in the car. I always hold her and I do look out the window.

our shih tzu (Yuki) loves to view out the car window but he doesn't stick his head out. our window is always closed. =)
