I'd like to point out the car actually isn't "stock" with DR's..the front splitter is an owner only install. It's ticky tacky but the front splitter really does help a lot on a car like this.

I did not say thats what they should run, that what this one did. The Vette in the video I sent shows, there are thousands of variables to drag ETs, humidity, temp, altitude. don't have the answer for you.
@cannabotany That's exactly right with track conditions and weather playing big factors. And tires etc. The only way to compare two cars is run them on the same track same day.
Also, why GM got desperate with selling cars for cheap is because they got in the mortgage industry, and gave tons of home loans, which is why they went bust when the housing mess went down. Had nothing to do with car sales. They had too much capital tied up in toxic mortgages. Their loss is our gain though.

This has forged rods, Mahle Pistons, oil squirters, cams, valve springs, CNC porting, and a different exhaust for power, it has a different suspension setup, 2 different tunes for the engine, oil coolers, and can outrun a M3 on a closed course for over $30k less. Yeah, it's a rip off.
As for times, I have also seen a 11.82, so it isn't only one.

@nbmblownZ As for the Boss 302 value, you haven't done as much research about them as you have with the Corvette price. The heads all have 2.5 hours CNC porting, polishing, The intake is almost identicle to the fr500 racer, the suspension is fully adjustable...ect. It's far more than just graphics. And it's supposed to be low volume, so they don't intend to sell parking lots full, but there are at least 4 in my town...
@cannabotany I heard the same thing. I would think they can get more power than 31 hp with a heads and cam job, which that's basically what is. It also has a more aggressive tune and dumps. You're better off taking a gt sending the heads to a machine shop, and putting comp cams in it for a fraction of the price with a lot more power.

If you were going to actually race any performance car from the US, you would have to prep it a little in some ways, more with some cars(or models), and in stock form the Boss beats the M3, R8, and GTR around Laguna Seca. If a regular production Mustang can do that, I think it's impressive.

@DeAdiSSu3 11.87 so far. cammed, stalled ws6 with gear and bolt ons. its got more left but track prep is garbage here. for this car to be mostly stock though. its a beast. im in the process of getting it procharged. id love to have a boss too, but i just dont see the 50k for a laguna seca right now when i can pull the wheels for 25-30. when i am done with this one though i may get a new vette or a newer mustang and slap a 2.9l crusher on it. im addicted to supercharged cars.
@kief4diamonds Hell yeah, 11.87 for a naturally aspirated muscle car with some fairly common / DIY type mods? That's impressive. Any faster than 12's is the difference (to me) between a quick car and a fast car. And I LOVE supercharged v8's, turbos usually make for better performance but god DAMN superchargers are brutal! It's awesome.

Also had a '79 suburban with a 400 small block (edelbrock intake / 650 cfm carb too - it was nice) and a 454 block laying around. We were going to drop the 400 in the Firebird and build the 454 for the suburban. Then we went broke, bird got caught in a hail storm, we sold the suburban and the 454 block. Over a decade later I bought a '73 Fury (318) and a half-built 400 big block! :)

@SRT8Tech Yes..At Cecil. It did. Also with a DA of 220 that is pretty great air. That is the best air I see all year long in TX. I say put some DR's and see what it can do. I know a few 5.0's that have hit 11.8 with just a tune on stock tires even. Right now I think that biggest thing that is holding the 392 back from really getting modded bad. Is no tunes. I seen where one place threw a nitrous shot and made some great power with just a 60shot.

I'd like to point out the car actually isn't "stock" with DR's..the front splitter is an owner only install. It's ticky tacky but the front splitter really does help a lot on a car like this.

I did not say thats what they should run, that what this one did. The Vette in the video I sent shows, there are thousands of variables to drag ETs, humidity, temp, altitude. don't have the answer for you.

@cannabotany That's exactly right with track conditions and weather playing big factors. And tires etc. The only way to compare two cars is run them on the same track same day.
Also, why GM got desperate with selling cars for cheap is because they got in the mortgage industry, and gave tons of home loans, which is why they went bust when the housing mess went down. Had nothing to do with car sales. They had too much capital tied up in toxic mortgages. Their loss is our gain though.

This has forged rods, Mahle Pistons, oil squirters, cams, valve springs, CNC porting, and a different exhaust for power, it has a different suspension setup, 2 different tunes for the engine, oil coolers, and can outrun a M3 on a closed course for over $30k less. Yeah, it's a rip off.
As for times, I have also seen a 11.82, so it isn't only one.

@nbmblownZ As for the Boss 302 value, you haven't done as much research about them as you have with the Corvette price. The heads all have 2.5 hours CNC porting, polishing, The intake is almost identicle to the fr500 racer, the suspension is fully adjustable...ect. It's far more than just graphics. And it's supposed to be low volume, so they don't intend to sell parking lots full, but there are at least 4 in my town...

You're better off taking a gt sending the heads to a machine shop, and putting comp cams in it for a fraction of the price with a lot more power.

@DeAdiSSu3 11.87 so far. cammed, stalled ws6 with gear and bolt ons. its got more left but track prep is garbage here. for this car to be mostly stock though. its a beast. im in the process of getting it procharged. id love to have a boss too, but i just dont see the 50k for a laguna seca right now when i can pull the wheels for 25-30. when i am done with this one though i may get a new vette or a newer mustang and slap a 2.9l crusher on it. im addicted to supercharged cars.

@kief4diamonds Hell yeah, 11.87 for a naturally aspirated muscle car with some fairly common / DIY type mods? That's impressive. Any faster than 12's is the difference (to me) between a quick car and a fast car. And I LOVE supercharged v8's, turbos usually make for better performance but god DAMN superchargers are brutal! It's awesome.

@DeAdiSSu3 ran a 7.54 tonite. posted the video. will have an outside view 2morow. wish itdve been a quarter mile track. prob woulda busted a 11.6 or 11.5 easy. car really shines 1/4. the only pass i made. i never make but one pass maybe two. im sure it woulda been a 7.3 with a 0.01RT. mainly went so i could pay 100 bucks for 2 credits on HPtuners and get my SES light off and adjust my a/c idle rpm. also put on a bosch 02 sensor. half a tank O fuel. running 24psi in the nittos. i run 93oct.

@kief4diamonds Nice, bro! Yeah I remember my old man had a camaro when I was little, then he got an 80's Firebird. Also had a '79 suburban with a 400 small block (edelbrock intake / 650 cfm carb too - it was nice) and a 454 block laying around. We were going to drop the 400 in the Firebird and build the 454 for the suburban. Then we went broke, bird got caught in a hail storm, we sold the suburban and the 454 block. Over a decade later I bought a '73 Fury (318) and a half-built 400 big block! :)

@EXTIQUE haha. this thing is nice no doubt. but unless they find a way to make em run ahell of a lot faster they wont be all that much of a challenge. its fast for stock for sure. lil overpriced. id like to see it at about 40k but owell. it is 2011 after all. im in the process of buying a d1sc kit with a huge fmic with 8lbs of boost and im already faster than this car so put simply....i aint skeerd. but i have been thinking about buying a mustang in a year or so..and putting a 2.9l crusher on.

@SRT8Tech I trapped 115 on stock shitty tires and? A stock auto 5.0 went 12.3 and a stock manual went 12.2..The Boss is a way way better car performance wise then the 392. So is the 5.0. Luxury ya the 392 wins.. But really that is about it. Hell they don't even have tunes yet for the 392.

@SRT8Tech Yes..At Cecil. It did. Also with a DA of 220 that is pretty great air. That is the best air I see all year long in TX. I say put some DR's and see what it can do. I know a few 5.0's that have hit 11.8 with just a tune on stock tires even. Right now I think that biggest thing that is holding the 392 back from really getting modded bad. Is no tunes. I seen where one place threw a nitrous shot and made some great power with just a 60shot.
