  • seriously don't buy a KA if U plan on venturing outside of a City my Father crashed when an old idiot pulled out on him. He smashed his ankle (and I mean SMASHED), broke his leg and knee. He will be lucky to recover 70% use of his legs, still walking on crutches after 2 years. Another crash beside me the other day involving KA, drivers leg smashed to bits (and she was goin 40mph).Instead of all the bullshit glitz Ford needs 2 build a safe bloody car, how much do they make?????

  • I'm currently driving a KA from 1997... It's my first car, and you know what? I'm crossing my fingers that it's gonna last for a few more years for that I love it but I know for a fact, that my next car will be a KA built before 2008 again! On the other hand: the new Fiesta looks just stunning - way better than the versions before, and I feel more than tempted to get one of those...

  • You should treat yourself to the "All New Fiesta", I just love mine! Had it since the end of October 2008. It is a sensation to drive!!

  • the only sensible comment on here!!!!!

  • it now looks soooo ordinary compared to the old version KA that was in production for over 14 years and it still turned heads. this one is not gonna b as popular and it boils down to the fact - if it aint broke dont fix it. p.s. ford did the same with the focus - the new one is ordinary compared to the old one.

  • It is frustrating to see these great designs from Ford that are exclusive to Europe. I wish we had this model here in the U.S., along with some of the great looking hatchbacks from companies like Pugeot and Alfa Romeo, for that matter. Don't get me wrong- we have plenty to choose from here, and we can drive whatever we want as long as it has four doors with automatic transmission.

  • Peugeot make some of the worst cars on the road, they are 80% plastic.might look good but won't last 5 minutes

  • I think it's A really pretty looking car. Maybe it's just me.

  • It looks suspiciously like a twingo. And that ain't good! But still, I have an 08 old shape ka and... well this one's all new and shiny and I want one anyway lol.

  • It looks like the new fiesta that they've just brought out....

  • Does she come as an extra?

  • as ugly as it can get

  • I have my second! The first was involved in a collision and hit side on from a diver estimated to be doing 60mph, The car was pushed onto the opposite side of the road and was hit head on by a bus. Both my passenger and myself suvived with only minor injuries, and were released from hospital hours later after a check up.

The little Ka tuely gives me a safe feeling. Most of my life I have driven Volvos. Now for economy, road holding and the safety factors.

    Its the Ka

  • just looks like a smaller Vauxhall Corsa. Least they got rid of most of the girlie look.

  • New Bond's car.

  • what the hell's wrong with you can't you read? that's not bond's car is the bond girl's car, camille's, by the way, is that girl 007?

  • is the ka made in europe. ford is american but we deffinitely dont have it here

  • Apparently you're not aware that Ford Europe has the most innovative designs in the world.

Europeans have always driven better designed and more fuel efficient fords. As are European cars in general.

  • yes you would say that the ford in europe o\are better designed, but they are only better designed for for european roads. in america, there really is no need for extremely fuel efficient cars right now because our fuel prices are so inexpensive. yes, auto makers should be looking into fuel efficiency, but this car would not be safe compared with the larger trucks and suv's we have in america

  • Actually, the European cars are considered to be the safest in the world.

And if everyone would be thinking like you guy's "We don't need fuel efficiency because we have enough fuel". We won't be using fossil fuels anymore in 15 years.

  • yes i know! what i'm trying to say is that european cars are extremely safe when involved in a crash with another european car! if the ka was hit by an american truck or suv, the size of the car would definitely be an unsafe factor. thats why cars can be so small in european countries. its a choice in america to save money on fuel but risk being killed by an suv, or buy live through a crash in an suv and spend a little more on gas

  • I understand what you're saying but its also true that small European cars come out of a car crash better then most Americans would expect.

They did a head on crash test between a Smart F2 and a Hummer. The smart penetrated the Hummer like a bullet.

  • yes, but the smart is designed much differently than any other kind of car. i believe it's structure is made of steel, unlike almost all other newer cars...like hummers

  • You sir, could not be more wrong. One of the reasons that Ford is able to build such incredibly safe cars in Europe is that they own and have access to Volvo's crash facilities in Sweden. This is why 16 Ford and Volvo's got the best IHS safety rating this year. I would totally trust driving a European Ford in the US. I own two of the smallest Volvo's made and I know I could survive an accident with an SUV. Do a look up of Volvo crash facility on Youtube and become enlightened.

  • 719fox u have probly managed to offend half the world we dont "need fuel efficient cars right now" you whole life consists in a bubble

  • Waiting for it, lat's hope the price is competitive with Twingo and 500.

  • not happy about the engine choices 1.2p & 1.3d so I am now looking at the new fiesta Style + 1.4i 16v with air-con its just under 11k.

But at the same time theres rumours of a 1.4 turbo 99bhp KA (to replace the 94bhp 1.6 SportKA) and it will be around the 11-12k mark.

The new fiesta 1.6 16v 96bhp costs over 12k, so less power and more heavier than the rumoured turbo KA!

  • Gosh he is rubbish at presenting new cars!!!
