@SianoPiano74 You can use hotglue. I wouldn't use superglue- not only would it be expensive but you wouldn't want to glue your hand to a puppet head LOL
@xhandbasketx Rubber cement is used for a variety of applications, a number of which are temporary, it behaves as though it is a liquid rubber, it will stretch, remains flexible and is water resistant.
contact cement is usually permanent. You apply a thin coat of the adhesive to both surfaces to be bonded. let it dry to the touch, then position the two pieces, usually with separation sticks placed between the two, when they touch they stick, that's it. They are relatively the same.
Thank you so much for making these videos! I look forward to the next one. Your instructional videos could not come at a better time, as I have caught the "puppet fever" recently.
I would say so. Trying to wash contact cement from a small piece of foam is a pain. I recommend doing all your gluing in one sitting that way you don't waste a ton of brushes. The brush tops are basically garbage but the handles can be salvaged. If you don't want to spend money on brushes just use a scrap piece of foam. You'll want to apply glue this way. I found a painters brush (with bristles) make a mess and doesn't coat evenly.
You sound like kermit and fozzy mixed together.

So once you're done with that foam brush it's completely useless?
